LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION . . . Within the TRUE boundaries of Belmont Shore, this cottage is centered just off the ever popular 2nd Street in a PRIME LOCATION! Take a quick 10 minute walk to the ocean or a 15 minute walk to the bay.
You'll feel right at home in our three bedroom, two bathroom 'cottage by the sea'. In the kitchen, we have restored the 1920's scalloped cabinetry and added all new appliances . . . (french door refrigerator, double oven with convection, 6 burner gas range, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker). Whether you're here during the warmer summer or the cooler winter season our central heating and air conditioning system will keep you feeling comfortable!
On our private side yard, our new gas grill awaits your BBQing expertise! Adding to many of the details 'authentic' to the original construction of this property are beautiful new hardwood floors, doors, casings, as well as lovely glass hardware on all interior doors.
You can easily access the backyard through the door off the master bedroom as well as the door off the kitchen. Take advantage of the coastal air . . . relax, sunbathe, or BBQ off the gated back porch AND side yards with comfortable seating or enjoy the front yard on the chair and table set under the umbrella!
This lovely cottage comes equipped with high speed internet, WI FI, cable, two flat screen TV's - a new 50' flat screen in the family room and a slightly smaller one in the 'daybed' room. We also provide high quality bed linens, towels, blow dryers as well as some complimentary toiletries.
Our address is centrally located . . . a 5 minute walk to '2nd street' with wonderful shopping, dining, beaches and sightseeing. Once you've arrived at 'Maison de Fleurs', you don’t really need a car to enjoy Belmont Shores, Naples, Belmont Heights, the beaches or parks nearby. Again,you are in close proximity to just about everything! It's close, yet just far enough to enjoy a little peace and quiet to read a book or take a nap!
If you're interested in enjoying some activities, take a tour of the famous Queen Mary, visit the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific or if you have time - take the ferry to Catalina island. Go whale watching and most likely you'll get to see some dolphins frolicking alongside the boat. Again, there is quite a large selection of restaurants, bars and boutiques within walking distance of this property. You might enjoy riding a bike or walking along the canals of Naples Island to look at beautiful homes, boats and/or beaches. If you don't feel like walking, consider a gondola ride and relax while you enjoy the scenery by water! Visit the Long Beach Art Museum or our local Performing Art Center. If you're visiting the Long Beach Convention Center, we are a 10 minute drive along the scenic coastline. In addition, there is an hourly bus that will also shuttle you just up the street. The shuttle can take you to Shoreline Village as well where there are more restaurants and sightseeing. Our cottage is an easy drive to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, South Coast Plaza, and Huntington Beach's popular 'surf city' or Seal Beach. Look at the map and see how close you are to many of the great destinations Southern California has to offer.

(LGB) Long Beach Airport - (15 minutes)
(LAX) Los Angeles Inter. Airport (35 minutes)
(SNA) Orange County Airport is (30 minutes)
Time wise, LGB is much easier getting 'in and out' of than LAX as it is much smaller and very close to our cottage. SNA (also known as John Wayne Airport) is also a smaller airport and located in Orange County. Timeframes can vary depending on time of day and current traffic conditions.

'Belmont Shore' is a vey unique area and is the most desired destination in Long Beach due to the surrounding shoreline that 'hugs' three sides of this charming community.
If you desire to be within walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants, pubs, and boutiques of 2nd Street, 'DO YOUR HOMEWORK' and be sure to verify the street/block number of a potential listing PRIOR to booking a property. This will help you AVOID THE DISAPPOINTMENT of securing a property with a misrepresented location! The 'down town' area is NOT considered Belmont Shore. Staying within the true boundaries of Belmont Shore will allow you to enjoy the area without having to drive and park your vehicle. We are one of the few properties that offer guests a private garage!

We hope you enjoy our 'home away from home' as much as we do! Just a few houses off 2nd street, we never run out of new and interesting things to do. Our cottage is in the best location if you desire close proximity to great beaches, restaurants, bakeries, and boutiques! Sometimes we just sit on one of the local 2nd street benches just to people watch or take a short stroll up the street and walk along the beach with 'waves', the bay (it's calm and great for younger kids) or the boardwalk to watch the sunset. Be sure to check out the 'location tab' to see just how great our location is. Enjoy the advantage of having the ability to take a short walk to just about everywhere!

Once you've arrived at our peaceful cottage, you will appreciate the private back and side yard as well as the gated front yard. Your proximity to banks, dry cleaners, drug store, post office, massage, salon, etc. is just up the street - minutes away. It's also fun to hop on a bike and ride along the bayside or the boardwalk along the ocean. If you're a coffee drinker and don't feel like making a pot at 'home' - there are TWO Starbucks locations just up the street on 2nd - a 5 minute walk to the left . . . or a 10 minute walk to the right!

Enjoy all that the 'Shore' has to offer without ever needing to get behind the wheel. The weather here on Southern California's coast is wonderful. As three sides of Belmont Shores is hugged by water, you are sure to enjoy this seaside community. We also love the 'Farmer's Market' situated in the parking lot near the bay, this market is a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Grab what you need for the week, or . . . head across the lot to the weekly Art and Craft fair - both are held at East Marina Drive south of East 2nd Street.
