Our property is minutes off 2nd Street with a single car garage!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION . . . This Belmont Shore cottage is centered just off Second Street (the most desired location in Long Beach). Our cottage is just a 5 minute walk off Second with all of the wonderful shopping and dining. In addition, a 10 minute walk up our street will lead you to the ocean or a 15 minute walk up Second will lead you to the bay.

AUTHENTIC TO THE ORIGINAL DETAILS OF THIS HOME . . . are beautiful new hardwood floors, doors, casings as well as glass hardware on all interior doors.

ENJOY THE UPGRADES . . . french door refrigerator, double oven with convection, 6 burner gas range, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. Whether you're here during the warmer summer months or the cooler winter season our new central heating and air conditioning system will keep you feeling comfortable!

ON OUR PRIVATE SIDE YARD . . . our gas grill awaits your BBQing expertise!

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE . . . the cottage comes equipped with high speed internet, WI FI, cable, two flat screen TV's - a new 50' flat screen in the family room and a slightly smaller one in the 'daybed' room. ONCE YOU'VE ARRIVED . . . at 'Maison de Fleurs', you don’t really need a car to enjoy Belmont Shores, Naples, Belmont Heights, several beaches or parks nearby. Again,you are in close proximity to just about everything! Our property is close, yet just far enough to enjoy a little peace and quiet to read a book or take a nap!

IF YOU'RE INTERESTED . . . enjoy some other activities: Take a tour of the famous Queen Mary, visit the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific or if you have time - take the ferry to Catalina island. Go whale watching and most likely you'll get to see some dolphins frolicking alongside the boat. Again, there is quite a large selection of restaurants, bars and boutiques within walking distance of this property. You might enjoy riding a bike or walking along the canals of Naples Island to look at beautiful homes, boats and/or beaches. If you don't feel like walking, consider a gondola ride and relax while you enjoy the scenery by water! Visit the Long Beach Art Museum or our local Performing Art Center. For your convenience, we have provided a notebook on site with detailed information on restaurants/menus, activities, etc.

If you're visiting the Long Beach Convention Center, we are a 10 minute drive along the scenic coastline. In addition, there is an hourly bus that will also shuttle you just up the street. The shuttle can take you to Shoreline Village as well where there are more restaurants and sightseeing. Our cottage is an easy drive to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, South Coast Plaza, and Huntington Beach's popular 'surf city' or Seal Beach. Look at the map and see how close you are to many of the great destinations Southern California has to offer.

AIRPORT SUGGESTIONS

(LGB) Long Beach Airport - (15 minutes)

(LAX) Los Angeles Inter. Airport (35 minutes)

(SNA) Orange County Airport is (30 minutes)

Time wise, LGB is much easier getting 'in and out' of than LAX as it is much smaller and very close to our cottage. SNA (also known as John Wayne Airport) is also a smaller airport and located in Orange County. Timeframes can vary depending on time of day and current traffic conditions.

'Belmont Shore' is a very unique area and is the most desired destination in Long Beach due to the surrounding shoreline that 'hugs' three sides of this charming community.

If you desire to be within walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants, pubs, and boutiques of 2nd Street, 'DO YOUR HOMEWORK' and be sure to verify the street/block number of a potential listing PRIOR to booking a property. This will help you AVOID THE DISAPPOINTMENT of securing a property with a misrepresented location! The 'down town' area is NOT considered Belmont Shore. Staying within the true boundaries of Belmont Shore will allow you to enjoy the area without having to drive and park your vehicle. We are one of the few properties that offer guests a private garage!

About Kelly

We hope you enjoy our 'home away from home' as much as we do! Just a few houses off 2nd street, we never run out of new and interesting things to do. Our cottage is in the best location if you desire close proximity to great beaches, restaurants, bakeries, and boutiques! Sometimes we just sit on one of the local 2nd street benches just to people watch or take a short stroll up the street and walk along the beach with 'waves', the bay (it's calm and great for younger kids) or the boardwalk to watch the sunset. Be sure to check out the 'location tab' to see just how great our location is. Enjoy the advantage of having the ability to take a short walk to just about everywhere!

Why Kelly chose Long Beach

Once you've arrived at our peaceful cottage, you will appreciate the private back and side yard as well as the gated front yard. Your proximity to banks, dry cleaners, drug store, post office, massage, salon, etc. is just up the street - minutes away. It's also fun to hop on a bike and ride along the bayside or the boardwalk along the ocean. If you're a coffee drinker and don't feel like making a pot at 'home' - there are TWO Starbucks locations just up the street on 2nd - a 5 minute walk to the left . . . or a 10 minute walk to the right!

What makes this cottage unique

Enjoy all that the 'Shore' has to offer without ever needing to get behind the wheel. The weather here on Southern California's coast is wonderful. As three sides of Belmont Shores is hugged by water, you are sure to enjoy this seaside community. We also love the 'Farmer's Market' situated in the parking lot near the bay, this market is a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Grab what you need for the week, or . . . head across the lot to the weekly Art and Craft fair - both are held at East Marina Drive south of East 2nd Street.

This is a great house in a great location. Walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. It is a very comfortable house that was the perfect size for my family of 5. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely book here again.

This is a great house and very centrally located. The owner could not have been more helpful! "Maison de Fleurs" was just the right size for our family of 5. We enjoyed and appreciated the flowers, quality of towels, linens, furniture and a well equipped kitchen. We already booked our stay for next year with no doubt that Kelly will have everything perfect for us, AGAIN!

Best VRBO rental experience we've had so far--easy booking--worked well for us.

Fantastic Stay!

Loved the house and the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach. Upon our arrival, the Christmas tree was a beautiful surprise! House interior was very nice. We all enjoyed looking at the Christmas decorations on the beach houses nearby and boats in Naples. A great suggestion from Kelly. We hope to come again in summer for a longer stay to enjoy family time, the beach and resturants. Also enjoyed walking both beach areas with the strollers. The kids loved the aquarium and the Christmas parade and we all looked forward to getting our daily ice cream fix around the corner! Location was convenient to just about everything. The fenced in yard and having a garage made things easier. This place exceeded our expectations and so did the help and input from Kelly.

Amazing property! Something for everyone!

We stayed at this darling cottage for a work conference. We were amazed at all the attention to detail. The cool air conditioning, the fresh flowers and comfortable beds. It is just a short walk to the beach, the bay, shopping and delicious restaurants! We took Uber to the LB Convention Center each day for about $8 and didn't need to rent a car. Amazing trip and location. I hope to be back with friends or my family!

Charming Cottage

This cute cottage is very clean, well maintained and in a great location (restaurants, shops and beach very close by). The owner provides excellent directions/information and the actual listing was very accurate. We did not rent a car so the size of the small garage was not an issue for us. Would highly recommend a restaurant called "Open Sesame', right around the corner from this location. My only suggestion (being the age of 50) would be more light in the family room. Thank you to the owner for making our stay so pleasant. I would recommend this property.

Maison De Fleurs weekend

We spent a wonderful weekend in Long Beach at Maison de Fleurs, a cozy, comfortable cottage convenient to everything! We had 3 generations of family in the house (5 people ranging from 20-85 years old). Although the cottage and bathrooms are small, the indoor and outdoor living areas are spacious enough for spreading out and enjoying watching TV, BBQing in the back yard, a glass of wine on the front patio, and dinner inside. The cottage is on a quiet street just steps away from 2nd Street and a few blocks from the beach so it was very easy for everyone to do their own thing and then gather as a family at the end of the day. The beds and couches are comfy, the kitchen well-equipped, and the decor warm and inviting. Kelly was friendly and kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. The stocked wine rack (pay as you go) is a nice touch for anyone visiting from out of town.

  • The largest of the three bedrooms - the 'MASTER', with (Cal-King bed) has a beautiful mahogany headboard, an antique armoire and two night stands. With two corner windows, powder room including toilet, sink, & window, glass paneled exterior door leading to the backyard and lovely bed linens, you're sure to feel comfortable once you sink into this heavenly bed! The 'QUEEN' bedroom has a beautiful 'high back' four poster bed with antique nightstands on each side and a walk-in closet. The 'DAYBED' room is currently set up with a twin bed and also has a walk-in closet. This daybed can quickly be turned into a king bed upon raising the 'pop-up' trundle as shown in the photo - or two separate twins depending on your personal preference. This room also makes a great spot for younger kids to hang out, use as a den away from adults as it has a flat screen TV. 'Accessed by the hallway as well as Master bedroom' it's very convenient for parents with younger kids.
