This is a definite escape-and-relax house! Beautifully designed and completed in July 2012. The spacious house has inter-connected large airy rooms and a vast kitchen/diner perfect for sociable weekends. Open up the doors to the garden and evening terrace and follow the sunshine throughout the day. Light the bar-b-q (or take one to the beach) and drift away to the sounds of the gentle fountain and seagulls.
Leaving the car behind for the day? Angmering station is a genuine 7 minute walk. Jump on a train eastbound to Brighton and wander through the lanes down to the pier for chips and ice cream. With it's re-knowned shopping boutiques, royal history, Brighton Pavilion (a former royal palace from the 1800's) and kooky Lanes from the town's original days as a fishing village, everyone in your party will find a place to love here. Want to head west too? Arundel is a 10 minute drive away. Join the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk (figuratively speaking!) and spend the day exploring the castle. Wander through the cathedral and make time for the numerous antique shops, tea shops and restaurants. Definitely worth heading back here for dinner one evening. (The Town House, located in a 17th century building is in the Michelin Guide as is the George and Dragon in Burpham, trading since 1736)
Need to escape the crowds? Britain's newest National Park, the South Downs is on the doorstep. Join the South Downs Way for a few miles at nearby Angmering and work off the cupcakes or hike up Highdown Hill for panoramic coastal views. Occupied from the late bronze and iron ages and the traditional burial place for kings of Sussex, the summit has the remains of an ancient hill fort. Nearby Cissbury Ring and Chanctonbury Ring will similarly capture an historical imagination. Alternatively take to the water. Teenagers in the group might like to try their hand at kite surfing or sea kayaking at Goring, 5 miles away.
The decor of the house is fresh and clean with shutter-style blinds, oak floors throughout the living rooms, and thick squashy carpets in the bedrooms. Bathrooms are immaculately clean and fitted with marble and porcelain tiles, power showers (or free-standing bath) and thick fluffy towels.
There are adult spaces, children spaces, 3 large flatscreen tv's with sky+ and a dedicated champagne fridge! We have games, a high chair, free wifi, local recommendations and anything you may need that we have arrange. A welcome pack of bread, milk etc is no problem. Just come, put your bags down and rest.....
