Recent guest Brian, from Texas, writes in his family's review:
'We have rented using VRBO in many countries including Australia, U.K., France and Portugal to name but a few. The Trulli property is clearly our favorite and it was extremely difficult to leave.'

The four of us all loved staying at your trulli! You and Steve have done a
wonderful job making it homey and charming. Every day was an adventure....but we
found time each day to walk in the 'neighborhood' ---picking figs, grapes,
almonds. The late afternoon sky always provided a fantastic sunset, and the
evenings were equally spectacular.
The pool was enjoyed by all....especially Donny, who started and ended each day
with a dip. We walked to the mini market a few times, and found it to have
wonderful cheeses, salami, produce, bread...and wine! We cooked quite a
bit....but enjoyed many of the restaurants in Ceglie and Martina Franca.
A bit too much time was spent driving to Puglian towns (in no special
order--)--Ostuni, Ceglie, Locorotondo, Fasano, Savalettri, Costa Merlata, Oria,
Alberobello, Porto Cesare (great market!), Polignano al Mare, Lecce...and we got
caught in a flash flood/wild hailstorm on our was to Salentina.
But each day, we made sure that we returned to the trulli in time to open a
bottle of wine, take a swim, a walk, or just enjoy the sunset. All in all---Steve and Glenn--we loved loved our time in Puglia at your trulli.
We cannot thank you enough!
Having stayed in the region previously we knew what it had to offer. We had not, however stayed in a trulli before and it completely exceeded our expectations. The house itself is stunning and full of character whilst having every modern home comfort you could possibly need. The kitchen is amply equipped with plenty of space and the bedrooms are large and airy with extremely comfy beds. Everything is spotless and well maintained. Although it was too early for the pool it was lovely to sit under the pergola enjoying the late spring sunshine. The gardens are beautifully landscaped with olive trees in the surrounding fields. There's a cycle path/track next to the property which is perfect for a walk or bike ride. The towns of Martina Franca, Ostuni, Cisternino & Ceglie are easily accessible by car and all have excellent restaurants and cafes. We also visited the caves at Castellana Grotte which are a must. There is so much to see in the region and Trulli Vista is perfectly located for days and evenings out. Oh and not to forget Annie who met and guided us to the trulli on our arrival. Having lived in the area for many years Annie was full of invaluable information and handy hints. All in all Glenn and Steve have created an idyllic holiday home for families and couples that we will definitely be returning to.
The trulli provides great holiday accommodation with all the facilities you would need. Its location provides sufficient privacy without feeling totally isolated. Other trullis are dotted across the landscape and there is a cycle path (Puglian Aquaduct) near the property. Local towns, such as Cisternino, Martina Franca and Ostuni, can be accessed easily and quickly, and the coast is not too far away either. The pool and pergola provide the perfect place to relax and read, in or out of the sun, and we spent the vast majority of the holiday outdoors. The evening sunsets and views are lovely, and it's great to return to the trulli after sightseeing and exploring. Assistance from Annie and the owner Glenn is very friendly, helpful and efficient. The property has earned its excellent reviews and we would very happily return and recomnmend to friends. A wonderful holiday and first trip to Italy!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this pretty trulli - our first experience in one of these historic dwellings and our first time in Puglia. The pool area and pergola were great and really enhanced the R&R aspect of our stay, much needed as this was the third week of our Italian "tour". The main bedroom in the trulli was a delight - almost like sleeping in a little chapel! Had we had more time and energy we would have hired bikes to make the most of the cycle trail, conveniently situated next to the property but the area was great for exploring the fascinating towns nearby and for sampling the numerous good restaurants. We were very well looked after by Annie, the manager of the trulli who was very helpful regarding recommendation of good restaurants, supermarkets etc. It was also great to meet Glenn who was happy to take on board a few suggestions we made which would have further enhanced our stay, including the provision of more wardrobe facilities for the second bedroom. As there were only 2 of us using the property, this was not a problem but would be for a couple staying.
So one year ago we stayed at this wonderful place, and a look at the review written back then would seem to Indicate it could not really get any better on our return - but it did. Here's just a few of our new experiences - discovering the delightful taste of the fresh locally caught shrimp found at the supermarket in Ostuni (engage the fish counter man and you will learn a lot about the local products available), seeing the attractions in Matera and Alberobello, and actually getting to meet Glenn (what a delightful, engaging man). And still we found enough time to relax around the trullo itself and enjoy the pool - these being the main reasons that this is our favorite vrbo property, and why we keep coming back. FYI the place is still much more beautiful than the website photos illustrate. I am also happy to report that even though this was World Cup time I never switched the tv on once - and permission had been granted. There are enough visual delights from the patio and purgola. So there we were at the end of our stay sitting in Bari airport wondering what could be better than a week in Glenn and Steve's trullo - two weeks of course, by missing out the hotels before and after our stay - good as they were trullo living is just so much more relaxing. Within two days of leaving we had re-booked for two weeks next year, and got flites booked as well. Think that pretty much sums up our feelings about this wonderful place.
We loved the classic simplicity of this stylish and comfortable restoration of a traditional building which has retained many of it original features including the fireplace, stone archways and floors. An elevated position secures you the privacy and open views needed to create the sense of a real escape. The garden is beautifully designed and maintained and brims over with lavender, Oleander, etc and is generally a riot of colour and scent in the Summer. Most of the time we were just happy to lounge and read books either by the private pool or under the light shade of the pergola made supremely comfortable with an array of cushions. Day and night it was a perfect and hard to drag ourselves away from the pool. But you must because there are castles and cathedrals galore here – in an area well known for its architecture, history, cuisine, wine and welcoming people.
The countryside is gently rolling in these parts and perfect for cycling and hiking. We were there in June and the wildflowers were at full tilt. This villa is right next to the new cycle route through Puglia which passes over a roman viaduct. We hired bikes from Ostuni which were delivered and collected (details provided by Glenn and Steve) and we ambled our way through the countryside, passing farms, and stopping off for a picnic and the odd bit of lunch time drinking.
Our romantic trullo with pool & two lamia sits on a rural countryside hilltop in the Valle d'Itria amongst a grove of olive & almond trees, and is ideally placed for easy access (less than 10km) to Martina Franca, Ceglie, Cisternino & Ostuni. Ostuni's beaches are accessible in about 25 minutes by car. The property has 180-degree views of the surrounding hills and valleys, dotted with trulli, masseria and local vineyards -- where you can visit and taste the locally produced wines. Local amenities e.g. supermarket, restaurants, bars are only short drives (or bicycling!) away. Martina Franca hosts an internationally-reknowned music festival (13 July - 4 Aug '13) and the UNESCO World Heritage site, Alberobello, is a 15km drive passing through the beautiful city of Locorotondo. The Adriatic, westward to the white beaches of Campomarino, is about an hour's drive. Lecce, the beautiful baroque jewel, makes for a perfect day trip.
