One bedroom apartment with sofa bed in lounge to sleep up to four people

This beautiful raised ground floor apartment in an original Regency building has been stylishly refurbished in 2009/10 to a high standard. It is in a very prestigious street which is quiet but at the same time, seconds from the sea, restaurants and bars and shops.

It has a large, spacious living/dining room with LCD tv with Freeview, Dvd player, ipod docking station and internet Wifi connection. The quality leather sofa is also a sofabed which is in front of the attractive original fireplace. The self-contained kitchen has a dishwasher, washer/drier, oven, microwave, breakfast bar and a host of extras. The attractive stable door leads down steps into the garden. The bathroom has an over-bath tropical rain shower and is mosaic-tiled. The bedroom comfortably fits a king sized bed and has plenty of storage space. It has views to the very pretty west-facing garden with a pergola, table and chairs and many flowering plants.

Please be advised that Brighton is not a car-friendly city and you would be well-advised to come by train if you have the option.

Car parking is very scarce and expensive and the slightest transgression of the parking regulations results in a hefty fine.

The buses and taxis are plentiful on the other hand !

This pefectly situated apartment enjoys the convenience of shops within 2 minutes walk. Some of the food shops are open 15 hours a day. Buses to the Churchill shopping square pass within 2 minutes walk and take 5 minutes to arrive. The marina, the lanes, Brighton Pier, the aquarium, Brighton Pavillion and many other attractions can be reached in 10 minutes walk. Brighton Conference Centre is also 5 minutes walk or a quick taxi ride. Brighton taxis are plentiful and well-priced and there is a taxi rank within 2 minutes walk.

One can see the sea from the front door and walk to the beach in 3 minutes but the flat is amazingly quiet.

Parking is restricted but there are pay and display bays just outside the door and on the seafront at the end of the street.

Possibility of purchasing permits from the owner for 8 pounds a day. NB These are in a limited supply - first come first served ! Or public carpark information can be supplied.

Other Activities: North Downs 5 miles away. Aquarium in Brighton. Close to Language schools.

We had a lovely weekend staying in this apartment. It is well furnished and very clean. There was plenty of space for 4 of us, with a bedroom and a decent sofa bed. There was also outdoor space which was really nice to have after a busy day out in Brighton!

The location was great. The apartment was between Brighton and Hove but we easily walked into the centre of Brighton in 15 minutes. There were also bars, restaurants and a Sainsburys local at the end of the road, just a minute walk away. Hove is really nice as well, lots to explore.

We got the train to Brighton, and glad we did as we knew parking would be an issue. It was easy to get to the apartment in a taxi, took 5-10 minutes. Brighton is very walkable and taxis are easy to get and aren't expensive.

The owner, Jane, was so nice and helpful. She responded promptly to any queries we had. Everything was well organised and we knew exactly what to expect before we came. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. I would not hesitate to stay here again when we come back to Brighton.

My goodness what a lovely flat and in such a convenient location. Set midway between Hove and Brighton this luxurious flat made the perfect place to come home to after a day exploring and eating.

The flat felt homely yet refined and provided all that my wife and I needed. The shower was like being hit by the most invigorating waterfall and the quaint courtyard space was a lovely opportunity to catch one's breath after a day of the hustle and bustle.

The Owner and the lady who provided us with the keys and showed us how to use everything were charming.

Sometimes I can be accused of being a pessimist about things but for once I found something that refused to disappoint. I can't believe I have wasted so much on so called luxury hotels such as the Grand. Here you can feel free and just enjoy yourself.

I truly cannot wait to return.

Great flat in the best location away from tourists

We had a great time at this flat which was clean and well maintained in an old regency building. The space is larger than imagined from the photos. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking if needed. The best part is the location away from the crazies and tourists in Brighton yet close enough for a walk to the seafront and the pier.
There are numerous restaurants and shops all within less than 5 mins walk including 2 supermarkets. Many options all within reasonable prices.
Jane the owner was very responsive and prompt in responding to initial enquiries to booking and finally returning refundable deposit. Highly recommend the flat and Jane as we had some bad experience previously with other rentals from Homeaway.

Lovely apartment in great location

My husband and I stayed here for a week while we got married in Brighton. When we arrived we were very happy with the apartment - the photos do it justice, it is spacious and has everything you could need.

All the shops you need are on yoru doorstep and we found parking to be ok - the furthest we needed to park was at the top of the road, but we didn't use our car too much as everything is on the door step.

It's just a shame the weather wasn't better as we didnt get to make the most out of the garden. Jane was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks for helping make our wedding week an enjoyable stay in Brighton

A Very Nice Home Away from Home

This is a lovely, comfortable, clean apartment just one block from the beach. Grocery stores are within easy walking distance and you can catch a bus at the corner for a 10 minute ride to the center of Brighton. Parking is a bit difficult. You may have to circle the block a time or two to find a spot. We got the parking permits from Estelle when we arrived, but watch the parking signs to be sure you are in the permitted areas. This apartment is also a good jumping-off point for visiting other great places. We explored Rye, the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs, the West Dean Gardens, and the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum. We would definitely like to stay here again.
