2 bedroom, one bath house with hardwood and tile floors throughout, tasteful decor. Bright, sunny kitchen opens out to back deck. Internet, cable TV and stereo on site. Small, landscaped, fenced yard allows for privacy and ease of use. Owner lives nearby and is available, for assistance.
I am the sole owner of the property. I'm originally from the east coast but have lived in Montana for 22 years.
Dar Armstrong purchased this bungalow in 2009
I moved to Missoula a few years ago from Bozeman to finish my graduate degree and found this great house. It's a comfortable, easy to maintain, in a quiet neighborhood but only one block from the bike trail to downtown and a straight shot around the corner to U of M. If you haven't spent time in Missoula before, you're in for a treat. There's always lots to do - concerts, theatre, lectures, etc. and it's an outdoor mecca, as well. The Clark Fork River runs through the city and then passes within walking distance of my property. If you value quality foods, the Good Food Store is a short walk from my place too. Every season is fun in Missoula, but my favorite is summer. The temperature is warm and the air is dry rather than humid. Great weather for hiking, fishing, biking, or just hanging out at our wonderful Farmer's Market. My place offers easy access to it all!
Great for long term rental!
My husband and I just spent the month of September here and had a wonderful time. The location was great for easy access via walking or biking to downtown, the Hip Strip and the University. The kitchen was cheery and well-stocked. We were visiting family and could do great entertaining outside on the back deck and in the backyard. There were a lot of nice touches -- comfy furniture and a console table so you could grab your stuff easily in the living room, big kitchen table for extra counter space, a nice desk area for the computer in the second bedroom, lots of closet space, new, super-quiet washer and dryer, AND an electric fireplace/heater that took the chill out of the air in the mornings. Dar was so accommodating -- she even let us use part of her garage to store our biking, hiking and fishing gear. We felt very happy, cozy and safe there and would definitely go back.
The house was wonderful, location was great, and Missoula has to be one of the best places to spend the summer.
Dar made things easy. The space was perfect, everything as described. Great for exploring both in and out of town.
We came to Missoula for the birth of our grandchild, intending to stay for a week or so. Due to complications, we ended up being here for almost 3 weeks. Fortunately, the house was available and the owner, Dar Hamilton, very gracious! The house really felt like our "home away from home". The furnishings were tasteful and very comfortable. Though the bedrooms are small, the main living space where we spent all our time was spacious, cozy, and warm - there are some nice touches like an electric fireplace and Netflix. We were able to host dinners for our family in the well-appointed kitchen and the location was perfect. We biked everywhere- on the river trail, into the Rattlesnake, the University, and downtown. It would be a little harder to get to these areas on foot. The neighborhood is very quiet and the Good Food Store is just a few blocks away. The house was clean and Dar was very attentive to our needs, always responding immediately to questions. I highly recommend this VRBO to couples, small families. Though you could get by without a car if you have bikes, it's nice to have one when the weather isn't cooperative. My thanks to Dar for her thoughtfulness throughout our stay!!
My wife and I stayed here with our toddler while in town for a class. The house was very clean and had everything we needed.
Regarding the owner, I can not say enough; she answered all my emails promptly, was very helpful and understanding when we decided to change the day of our arrival.
The only regret my wife and I had is that our vacation was too short.
We stayed at this house for an extended ski weekend. Lost Trail Powder Mountain is an easy drive to the south, with Montana Snowbowl just north of town. The bungalow is close to downtown where we enjoyed a delicious dinner, and is just a short walk to the Good Food Store for healthy groceries and snack items. Comfortable, well-provisioned, and tastefully furnished, this home is the ideal spot for a Montana getaway any time of year!
is located along the Clark Fork and Bitterroot rivers in Western Montana and at the convergence of five mountain ranges, thus is often described as being the 'Hub of Five Valleys'. The 2010 Census put the population of Missoula at 66,788 and the Missoula Metropolitan Area at 109,299. It sits at an elevation of 3200 feet and is considered an outdoor mecca. The city offers lots of cultural and recreational activities, from the International Documentary Film Festival, the longest running Farmer's Market to the annual Festival of the Book - there is always something fun and interesting to do in Missoula. It is located on route to Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, and the Salish Kootenai Indian Reservation.
