Sunrise House sits privately atop a hill with panoramic views of the Bohol sea and the Loboc River valley. It is a 410 square-meter single-story concrete and glass (floor-to-ceiling) home with marble floors and wainscoting throughout. It includes 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a living room, a TV room, a screened porch, a kitchen, and a moated dining area.

All rooms are air conditioned and bedrooms additionally have ceiling fans.

Other amenities on the property include a swimming pool with waterfall, a giant chess board, terraced outdoor dining, a full-sized outdoor basketball court (with tennis and volleyball) and an orchard area with nearly 100 cacao trees.

Coconut palms feature prominently throughout.

The entire property is 3.3 hectares, to which you will have full access and use, with the exception of staff quarters, which are located at one end of the property, out of site from the main house and facilities (excepting the basketball court).

Sunrise House is situated above the city of Loboc, centrally located in the province of Bohol: approximately 40 minutes from the capital city (Tagbilaran), 50-minutes from the nightlife center (Alona beach, Panglao) and one hour from the popular Chocolate Hills.

Getting to Bohol:

Jeju Airlines provides direct service from Seoul, and Bohol is well serviced from Manila.

Alternatively, a two-hour ferry may be taken from Cebu.

Private Helicopter service from Cebu is available for $2,000 - $5,000.

Wonderful location, house, grounds and housekeeping team

This is a really outstanding property, house and gardens. It's well looked after by Laarni, beautifully kept throughout, clean and beautifully designed. The architecture of the house is really unusual, which makes it all the more of an experience. We also appreciated Laarni's advice on trips out and her help with co-ordination and arranging drivers. The setting of the house is superb, high on the hill, so you have amazing views looking down and across. Sunrises and sunsets are wonderful and the floor to ceiling windows offer incredible views. Finally, our flight was delayed countless times and Laarni was so helpful, arranging pick up from the airport at 3am. I would absolutely recommend you stay in this gem of property.

A unique property in an amazing location!!

The villa is one of a kind for sure! Located on huge grounds on the top of a large hill which overlooks the surrounding jungle and winding river to the sea. Simply stunning! Laarni - the property manager - was so helpful and welcoming. She helped arrange food, tours and activities. All of which is necessary due to the remote location of the villa (which in itself was a big attraction for us). The island has so much to do and discover and the villa is centrally located to be strike out and do all the key attractions.

Our group of 8 people, want to say a big thank you for a wonderful time at your house. The house was adorable, with special design and equipped with everything needed. It is located in a very beautiful place, where everywhere around opens beautiful landscapes and is silent and piece. The personnel was outstanding, all the time we felt 100% cared for. This is a perfect place for rest. P.S. Very much looking forward to visit you again.

A "home" with a view!

This place is not to be missed. Make sure you get an airport or boat transfer and stop at the supermarket on your way. It has beautiful surroundings, loving care takers who went above and beyond for us! If you are looking to relax and take it easy with a private cook and swimming pool then this is the spot for you!! Very Good

I am an English man with a Philippine family, 4 adults, 5 kids and 2 infants turned up. The property has 3 bedrooms but Laarni made up 4 more beds in the TV room which was perfect for all. The house is as good as it gets, very clean and well maintained. The gardens are the same. The pool however was the best.... Immaculate. I was very impressed. All the staff were very professional and friendly. Laarni the house manager lives on site in a separate building and is very helpful with anything you want to do. The cook we had was the best. She was there all day preparing 3-4 meals a day, all well cooked and presented. On Christmas eve she cooked a midnight feast for us and didn't go home until 1:30am (Yes she got a tip). We went on some outings which were all good which were arranged by Laarni with no fuss. Chocolate hills/Tarsier sanctuary/Zip line....$70 + entrance fees. Floating restaurant at Loboc....$40 + entrance fee. Shopping trip to the Mall at Tagbilran.... $50 Pangiao Beach....$75 The cook $20 a day. Complementary airport pick up and return. On a negative note... (Just being honest) The cable TV was down for the first 2 days. ( I was ok with it but the kids weren't happy) The internet was down for most of the stay there. Our driver was not good. I got scared on several occasions, he nearly went in to a deep ditch and the overtaking was scary going head on with oncoming busses and lorries, I had to tell him off on a few occasions as the kids were with us.. ( I think he was a relief driver as it was Christmas time) Spiders as big as saucers in the bathroom X3. (The cleaner helped me when I ran screaming from the shower) The house is as advertised it is in the middle of nowhere. If you want to go anywhere you will need to ask Laarni for the mini bus and driver. If you like to walk or hike you will love it. It is very rural and very hilly. The locals are interested in talking to you. I would recommend this property to all. It is a good alternative and experience to a hotel. You would be hard pushed to find a better place or deal in Bohol. (I have been to Bohol 4 times now) We all loved the stay including the Kids. (Except for the TV and Internet problems) Yes I would stay there again..... Justin Saint

Denny and Ellen searched for over a year to find the perfect location with sweeping views of the hills overlooking Loboc River and the Bohol Sea. We have numerous coconut, mango, cocoa, papaya, avocado trees, and banana plants. We enjoy cool nights, gentle breezes and escape from the noise and hustle of the city, and the Sunrise House is the perfect place to do just that!

Out of all my travels, I have never been to a place where the people there will bend over backward just to make you feel at home, even if you have never met them before. It is such a hospitable land and I have never even had so much as a sour look from anyone in 20 years. Perfect for vacation and family time.
