Keywords: Most luxurious condo at Turtle Bay
My husband Ted grew up on Oahu and has always loved the beauty and aloha of the North Shore. When he took me to Turtle Bay to meet his family, I fell in love with it too. We purchased this lovely condo shortly before our wedding on Kuilima Point. Since then, we have had many happy times here with our family, friends, children, and grandchildren. Ed still surfs on the Phil Edwards longboard I gave him for a wedding present. We both love swimming, snorkeling, hiking, and browsing the art galleries and shops. We also like to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center and see the spectacular evening show there every year. At the end of the day, we walk down to Kuilima Point to watch the sun set before having dinner at one of the nearby restaurants or at home. We enjoy the area's fine restaurants, but we also love the little cafes and lunch trucks where it is easy to meet people. On Sundays, we attend Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Waimea, and stay to visit with the parishioners. Everything is so close to the condo that we always have a relaxing vacation here.
There is so much to see, do, and learn on the North Shore that cannot be found in the standard guidebooks to Oahu that I wrote a guidebook myself. The title is 'Oahu's North Shore, A Guide To Its Treasures And Beauties.' Ted took all the photos and created the maps while I researched and wrote the 355-page text. Get a free copy of the Guidebook with a stay of one week or more.

The condos at Kuilima are by far the nicest place to stay on the North Shore. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and impeccably maintained. There are 3 swimming pools, tennis courts, and barbecue and picnic facilities. We have 24-hour security and a nice, quiet environment. From our lanai, we have a lovely view of the golf course and Koolau mountains, with a little lawn where children can play safely when we come back from the beach. The condo is situated perfectly to catch the trade winds, so although we have air conditioning we never use it because the tropical breeze is so pleasant. We can walk to the beach, stables, restaurants, and other facilities of the Turtle Bay Resort. At the same time, we can get to the beaches, restaurants and shops on the North Shore and Windward Shore in just a few minutes. The location is ideal.
We remodeled the entire condo several years ago and spared no expense. The kitchen has lovely maple cabinets, silestone counters, and GE Profile appliances. We installed a gorgeous travertine floor in the living, dining, kitchen, and lanai. The bathrooms are also travertine, and there is a spa tub in the downstairs bath. The living room furniture is top-grade Lazy Boy upholstery. Hawaiian art decorates all the rooms. It is a very pleasant place.
The lovely people who arrived immediately after the tenants who submitted the negative review sent these emails during their stay telling us how nice everything was:

I just wanted to tell you how much we are enjoying out stay here in #161.... We have a family reunion next year in July and would like to come back to the same place.
I am going to ask to stay here again. We loved it and hope to stay for 3 weeks this time. I have stayed in the condos at least 7 times and yours was the best one.
Aloha from Cali-nei,
I was drawn in by the title as the Most Luxurious Condo at Turtle Bay and it is true. I have stayed in the condos at Turtle Bay a number of times over the years and this one was the by far the best and exceeded our expectations. Well built and very comfortable. The entire process from booking to checking in and out was smooth. We did not need to contact Patti at all. The next door neighbor was such a delight and helpful if we had any questions. Location was perfect that we did not need to run the air conditioners. We enjoyed and appreciated the high end appliances, faucets, marble and travertine tiles, dad especially loved the 55" tv and I was pleased at all the little things that was condo was supplied with...I needed a bandaid and neosporin and found it in the first aid kit. I just cannot say enough. We just felt at home. We stayed for only 2 weeks and plan to come back next year hopefully for 3 weeks. I highly recommend this condo to anyone that appreciates comfort and quality.
We had a great time here. My husband and I rented the place along with my parents, and it worked well for us. Having the extra beds was nice because my brother was able to stay for one night before his wedding. We enjoyed being close to the resort and walked over to the beaches, jogged on the trails and ate at the restaurants there daily. The place seemed hot the first night but was fine once we had acclimated- the breezes helped a lot! We were happy to have beach towels and snorkeling sets available as well. We just walked over and used them on the resort propert- all in all, a great rental. The owner was also very helpful and easy to work with.
This was an ideal location on the North Shore. It was quiet, there was a nice view of the golf course and the trade winds came through to keep the place cool and comfy. We enjoyed using the barbecue and visiting family a few doors down. The jacuzzi tub was a hit as well as the options for television entertainment. The condo contained all we needed for the beach (chairs, boogie boards, etc.), which we greatly appreciated. There were sufficient sundry supplies, dish and laundry soap for the week. Unfortunately, the closest pool was for adults only; however there were other pools nearby. My only request would be for the owner to open it up a bit before arrival because it was fairly stuffy and hot when we got there. Also, there wasn't a cooler, so that would be one item to supply that would help make the stay even better (we borrowed the cooler from my parents' condo).
We enjoyed our stay at "The Most Luxurious Condo at Turtle Bay". We especially liked the cleanliness. The decor was somewhat updated and well appointed. The lack of Air Conditioning in the main living areas made it a bit uncomfortable at times, even with both doors open and fans on. The bedroom airconditioners needed to remain on most of our stay as both my son and I suffer from Asthma and need to breathe cool air. I would strongly recommend the owner to consider putting in a unit to cover the main living space. I was in another unit not far away and although it was not nearly appointed nearly as nicely, the air made it much more comfortable than our unit. We liked the closeness to the pool, but were disappointed that we were not closer to the beach/ hotel as walking was difficult for my husband in the heat. Also, there was a large domestic bird next door that made a tremendous amount of noise. It wasn't constant, but when he wasn't happy, you knew it and since you had to keep doors open, it was a bit annoying! Overall though, our stay was enjoyable.
We just returned from a wonderful week in Oahu. The best part of the trip was the beautiful, comfortable condo at Turtle Bay. The location was peaceful and yet handy for all the places we wanted to go. We enjoyed seeing sea turtles on the beach, a Segway tour, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Ted's Bakery and much more. We shared the condo with another couple (husband's brother and his wife) so it turned out to be a great value and gave us lots of time to catch up on each others lives. I would highly recommend this property and will probably return there myself. Can I just say - "the flowers on the grounds were WOW!!!"
This was my first trip to Hawaii and renting through vrbo.com. First of all the condo was incredibly comfortable almost all of the luxuries of home. I have already recommended this beautiful condo to my friends. It is located at Turtle Bay which is in the middle of the beautiful North Shore. All I can say it was everything we expected! Loved it!
