Spacious 2 Bedroom Villa sleeps 5. Ideal location right on the coast

‘Villa Helena’ is quite a stunning holiday home. Situated no more than fifty metres from the Mediterranean.

On entering you will be struck by the quality of the furnishing and the décor. This is a home whose owners, frequent visitors themselves, have nurtured. The front door opens into a spacious hallway. Through an archway to the right is the main living area with lounge seating, a dining area for six, and a well fitted kitchen and a granite breakfast bar with stool seating. The kitchen is fitted with all the appliances you could possibly need, including dishwasher and washing machine. There are seats around a traditional fireplace with a large screen television. Towards the left of the entrance hall, two granite steps lead to the bedroom area with two comfortable double bedrooms, one with en-suite. There is a further separate bathroom and toilet.

The villa is on a large paved plot with a well cared for landscaped garden.

Golf information: Four golf courses operate on the island: 1. Tsada golf club: The club is situated near Tsada village 20 minutes drive. It is 18 hole golf course. 2. Secret Valley golf club: It is located 18km east of Paphos. 3. Aphrodite Hills: A 18-hole international golf course located near the birthplace of Aphrodite. Also available is 3 hole course.4. Elea Golf Club newly opened end of 2010, only a 10min drive from centre of Paphos, on the Airport road. There is also a driving range located on the main road between Coral Bay and Paphos.

this is a basic villa for the area-the pool was being maintained and refurbished on our arrival so no use for 3-4 days-basic home requirements-you need instructions for the all the many switches within the villa- it took us 3 days to understand the electrical components-meet and greet is more 'meet and grunt'-carol and phil were not very welcoming-we booked a week in april and had a very late check out on the Monday and they were charging 30 euros for the pleasure!! we stripped all the beds etc checked out at 11 am my recommendations are that carol and phil provide a manual on the air con and local supermarkets/diners-maybe more of a warm welcome-bottle of wine(even though we dont drink)

they greeted us via the back door!! we struggled to open the front door-all locks on doors were seized! they said the doors were seized so why not tell us on arrival-struggling with a seized door at 11 pm in the dark

Owner's Response: We are sorry to learn you didn’t enjoy your stay at Villa Helena and the property didn’t live up to your expectations like it did for previous guests. Whilst we thank you for submitting a review and supplying feedback for others guests, we do feel some of your comments and remarks are unjustified and not totally accurate. We apologized about the swimming pool which was totally out of our control, it was supposed to have been up and running, but due to bad weather the repair was delayed. The front door lock we also apologized about we explained that we never used the front door ourselves and therefore reliant upon guests to inform us of any problems which no previous guest had done, we also offered to come back and fix it for you the next day but you said it was fine you were happy to use the back door. Regarding the meet and greet, we feel your comments are a little harsh we met you in a polite and courteous manner and didn't use the back door we came to the front terrace and spoke to you. We can understand maybe at the time of the meet and greet you were tired yourself after a long journey arriving late and being disappointed about the swimming pool. To say we were not very welcoming is so unfair, we always try to be polite and courteous and during the past 10 years we have had nothing but praises form previous clients. The late checkout we had discussed prior to booking the villa, which you had clearly stated in one of your emails you wanted and accepted the terms. Late checkout covers our costs for coming out late at night to remove keys from key box and check Villa to make sure it is locked properly. Many owners and managers don’t even offer this service to try and accommodate clients late checkout requests. The light switches OK we can understand Cyprus is unfortunately like this certainly not to the standards you would be used to in the UK. Small welcome pack is provided and normally most welcomed The Villa is equipped with operating instructions for the air-con units, the villa is also equipped with a welcome booklet which has detailed instructions. Plus the villa as many maps, leaflets on local bars /restaurants and attractions. It’s unfortunate if you didn’t see these items. It’s a shame you didn’t contact us during your stay so we could have had the opportunity to sort out all the issues. It does state clearly on the documentation we send out if you have any problems please do not hesitate to contact us 24/7.

Villa Helena - Chlorakas

This villa is everything it promised to be -- it is spacious, spotlessly clean & very well-equipped. We would especially recommend the villa to travellers in our own situation -- seeking some end-of-season sun, enjoying both comfort and peace & quiet.

We particularly appreciated the firm mattresses.

The complex (only about 15 villas) is well-maintained & was very quiet when we visited (we often had sole use of the communal pool).

The only negative about the villa was the non-availability of a WiFi password -- a little frustrating when we could see the router flashing whilst we were struggling with a flaky 3G signal.

Finally, whilst the "car not necessary" tag is accurate, we think that it should be pointed out that there is only one restaurant within 10 mins walk (Pentares) & no supermarket within walking distance. The nearest decent shop (confusingly called a supermarket, but a corner shop by UK standards) is J&R, and is 15-20 mins walk away.

That said, there is an excellent frequent & cheap bus service into both Paphos & Coral Bay, & the harbour area of the former is well worth a visit.

Beautiful villa

We have just returned from a blissful 2 wks at Villa Helena. The villa is furnished beautifully, the outside areas are very well kept and the pool is a lovely place to relax. We spent our first week with our 4 yr old son and then my parents joined us for the second week. We hired a car for the second week but the walk to the bus stop is not too much and it's a welcome stroll after a nice meal. Arcadia village is fairly quiet, a few people sunbathing around or in the pool but very laid back. We stayed in Villa Elmani 2 years ago which overlooks the pool and you can see the sunset, however, we all agree that we prefered Villa Helena. You can still see the sunset from the top terrace and hear the waves whilst enjoying an after dinner drink. We are hoping to return to this villa - sooner rather than later.

This luxury Villa is located in one of the most popular area's of Paphos, just off the main Tomb of the Kings road between Paphos and Coral Bay. Paphos international airport is only a 20 min drive. The old town and daily market is nearby. Paphos famous fishing harbour is only 10 min drive away, where you can sample one of the fine restaurants, or book one of the various boat trips. Shops, restaurants, bars, banks, supermarkets, car hire are all within 5 min drive or a pleasant stroll along the coastal path. Local buses run frequently throughout the day in the summer. The bus stop is just a 10 minute walk away. Close by is the Tombs of the Kings famous historical site, and for the more adventurous hire a 4x4 and head up to the Troodos Mountains, and experience the breathtaking views, and enjoy the hospitality of the local Cypriots, visiting various Monasteries and Winery's along the way.
