Tuscan Villa with private swimming pool

Podere San Regolo is a wonderful refurbished villa in the heart of Tuscany with a lot of charm. It is ideal if you want to have a relaxing stay combined with a good portion of luxury. The house is recently renewed with nice bathrooms and bedrooms, but a lot of the old style is kept as it was originally. The description and pictures on the web give a good and realistic description of how the house and property is.

What we did like a lot:
- The terrace outside the kitchen with a beautiful view of the Tuscany country side
- The swimming pool – large, well maintained and not overlooked
- The friendly attitude of the owners and their family
- The large garden with spices and flowers
- The position of the property, central to most Tuscany attractions
- The old furniture, the bedrooms and the bathrooms

What to improve:
- The kitchen ware (as usual with most rental properties it’s a mixture of everything and nothing and not very functional, we ended up buying our own wine glasses and dinner plates)
- The place is difficult to find. A sign on the street would help

What to expect:
- A romantic, beautiful place with a lot of charm
- A well functioning house where most things works (which is not obvious in these type of properties)
- Some insects (this is in the country side)
- That the family will do whatever they can to help you if you need something

We have rented many places in Italy, and Podere San Regolo is definitively a jewel where we would love to stay again in the future.
