Welcome to Our Cabin on Flathead Lakes Dayton Harbor where great outdoor family fun awaits you! This loft style cabin is the right mix of family memories and modern conveniences available for rent by you and your family and/or friends. The cabin is located near the marina in Dayton and has approximately 50 feet of beautiful Dayton harbor frontage looking out at Cromwell and Wild Horse Islands and don't be surprised if you see some Bald Eagles while you are here!
Flathead Lake offers you plenty of room to play – in, on, and by the water. Located just south of Kalispell, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi is 28 miles long and up to 15 miles wide. That’s 188 square miles of pure enjoyment! The lake’s sparkling waters and miles of tree-lined shore offer unlimited recreational opportunities and wildlife habitat. Overlooking it all are the magnificent Swan and Mission mountain ranges.
The hard part will be deciding what to do while you’re visiting our Cabin. Stay inside and catch a movie or read a book, or head outdoors to water ski, Jet Ski, take a swim in the refreshing waters, or troll the lake for some trout, whitefish, perch and much more.
Enjoy the gradual lawn to the water’s edge to play with the gang. Stay up late at night and look out over the peaceful waters and up to the clear starry filled skies and hearing the lakes gentle waves; great for creating memories and soothing the soul.
Canoe, kayak, sail, charter fish on the lake by day and then by night you can quickly be to any one of a number of close by towns for dinner, dancing, theaters.
Don’t miss out on the beauty of our valley on your way Glacier National Park where hiking, sightseeing and more can be had.
lovely, clean cabin. spacious. Didn't like the geese poo all over the doc.
We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It had a great view of the lake and sat right on the water. The shoreline was shallow enough to wade in and dropped off to around 20 feet deep at the end of the dock. Perfect for diving and wading in the water. The deck was great and we enjoyed drinking our coffee in the mornings on the deck. This is really what it is about. The inside of the cabin had both a dryer and washer which is really helpful. The cabin was clean and exactly what we needed. Two beds upstairs in the loft and one bedroom down stairs. The bathroom was also downstairs. We didn't spend much time in the cabin itself because their is so much to do and see in the area. We travelled to Glacier Park which was an hour and half away and big fork which was 45 minutes away, we also went to Kalispell and Polson which was approximately a half hour away. I would definitely stay again. The town this cabin is in is a small town (Dayton), but I would not consider it remote. There are plenty of communities in short driving distance. Also Lake Mary Ronan is close by and is a great place to spend the day. The only thing I would have liked to see is internet connection but I was able to use my Verizon phone as a hot spot so that worked out great.
We stayed w our tow little boys and loved it! Playground across the street, safe to walk around the neighbourhood. Swimming great, bring water shoes as its a rock bottom beach. Bring beach towels. About 15 mins drive to lakeside for groceries. Better to get groceries in kalispell before you come out as lakeside is expensive. Look forward to staying again next year! Lots of room for two families as we didint use the bedroom downstairs, we all slept in the two comfy queen size beds in the loft.
We were within blocks of lunch and dinner and also a winery which added to our stay immensely. Groceries are a different story but plan out meals ahead of time and the kitchen is greatly stocked with eating utensils. The living space is large and accommodating for seven with the couch.
This comfortable cabin provided our family the making of many great memories; the beautiful views of Wildhorse and Cromwell Island, enjoying the quaint streets of Dayton and the refreshing swimming right out the front door. We started our vacation by stopping to pick fresh cherries at one of the many cherry orchards around flathead lake and ended it by taking home a few bottles of wine from the Mission Valley Winery located in walking distance. We have 2 small kids and enjoyed a great park right across the street. Excited to come back this summer.
