Only a few kilometres from the ancient town of Cortona, hidden in the quiet and charming historical centre of Pierle, you will find a wonderful Tuscan Country House 'Rocca di Pierle'.
The Villa has been beautifully restored and is a relaxing and comfortable residence with a unique atmosphere and impeccable service.
We invite you to stay with us at Rocca di Pierle, in the shadow of the old fortress. Our house and surrounding garden of 5000 square meters, offer magnificent views of the valley.
The completely restored farm house, which opened in the end of 2004, overlooks a beautiful valley and is bathed from early morning to evening by warm sunshine. Beside the apartments the adjoining storeroom has been restored and is now used as a breakfast room and is available to guests for their lunches and dinners.
Rocca di Pierle Country House is 500mt above sea level.
Its central position is within easy reach of the major cultural locations and natural areas of Tuscany and Umbria; such as Florence, Siena, the Trasimeno Lake, Perugia, Assisi and Rome. Vineyards nearby include the Chianti region, Montalcino and Montepulciano.
The beautiful Villa is shared in 3 apartments with private access and independent air conditioning/heating:
APARTMENT 'LA VALLE';
The La Valle apartment is on the ground floor and derives its name from the breathtaking panoramic view on the entire Pierle valley. Also this apartment has a private entrance, two double bed rooms, living room with a relaxing sofa, fireplace, large-kitchen and bathroom.
The 70 mq² apartment can accommodate 4 to 6 persons.
We can prepare two extra-beds in the living room, with an extra price.
APARTMENT 'LA LOGGIA';
The 55 mq² La Loggia apartment is on the first floor and derives its name from a beautiful arcade protecting the entrance. From here one has a magnificent view on the immense castle. The Loggia is structured as follows: living room with a relaxing sofa, one double bedroom, fireplace, kitchen and bathroom.
We can prepare one or two extra-beds in the living room, with an extra price.
APARTMENT 'IL MONTE';
'Il Monte' is in the building's upper store. From the windows of the 75 mq² apartment one has an unobstructed view on the wood covered hills surrounding the big castle.
The apartment features two double bed rooms, living room with two small seats, large-kitchen, fireplace, shower equipped bathroom like the other two apartments.
We can prepare one extra-bed in the living room, with an extra price.
As with all other apartments, during restructuring special attention was given to materials and most of the old furniture has been recovered, the rest of the rooms has been furnished in the typical Tuscan style, without forgetting the most modern accessories, such as satellite-TV, telephone with internet-access in all rooms.
The household appliances are new and in perfect working order.
The 'CAMBUSA'(the old storeroom, was recently restored and is located right next to the apartments; the room is used as a breakfast room and is suitable for our guests for meal service, wine and cheese tasting, cooking classes, relaxing moment, etc.

Guests may use for convivial moments and gatherings the new Cambusa (the old storeroom). The Cambusa is, thanks to its location right next to the apartments, the ideal place to share breakfasts, lunches, dinners and relaxation moments in the coolness of this charming room.

The beautiful SWIMMING POOL located above the compound and from where one enjoys a magnificent view over the entire Val di Pierle is just one of the particular features of the Country House Rocca di Pierle. Thanks to the great skills of our craftsmen we succeeded in creating something extraordinary and typical.
Every single stone used to build the pool was produced and smoothed by skilful craftsmen so as to achieve the most natural and exclusive result.
The black tarpaulin that coats the pool gives the water a somewhat warm and mysterious effect..
Size: 7,5m maximum, 5 m minimum width, 14 m length. Depth varies between 0,50m and 1,80m.
You may request breakfast as well as a basket of typical local products which will be waiting for you upon your arrival including wines, cheeses, salami, breads. (on request, with extra pay)
Our beautiful garden (5000 square meters) and location is ideal for WEDDINGS. You may rent the entire house for your wedding party and we would be happy to help you find extra accommodations should you require more lodging for your wedding guests. We can arrange for catering for your wedding dinner, or aperitif in the garden, or arrange for a wedding dinner in one of the nearby restaurants. We do speak English and we are more than happy to help you with what ever arrangements you will need, such as flowers and decorations.

I'm 37 years old and I love my job; my big satisfaction is to offer a fantastic holiday time to my guests at Rocca di Pierle.
My grand father built this house in 1970, in the end of 1999 my parents decided to restore in a typical Tuscan old style.
