Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Poole
2 bedroom character house sleeps 4 + 2 in the heart of Old Town Poole

Our holiday home is a wonderful listed property full of character in a quiet old square with the Church at the centre. The house is beautifully furnished throughout with a fully fitted modernised kitchen and comfortable living/dining area on the ground floor. To the rear of the property is an enclosed courtyard with a small sitting area and also with room to park 1 or 2 cars (depending on sizes). There is a shed for storage.

The winding staircase leads up to the first floor double room with sashed windows and shutters overlooking St James Church. This bedroom has a light and modern fitted en-suite bathroom. Also on this floor is the family shower room, also modern and light. There is a study which has a sofa bed to allow 2 extra people to sleep if required.

The winding staircase leads on upstairs to the second floor double bedroom. From this bedroom a door leads onto a rooftop decked area - super for a quiet sit in the sunshine or evening drink.

Please note that bed linen is provided for the two double beds. We have provided a duvet, mattress protector and pillows for the sofa bed but you will need to bring linen for that. Personal towels are not provided.

We had a lovely short break here. Cottage was perfect: comfortable with nice touches and everything you could need.

Lovely and quiet yet so close to harbour and amenities.

Short drive to Poole Park, lovely Sandbanks beach and the ferry to Studland.

Owners very kind and helpful.

A beautiful house in a wonderful location

5 out of 5
Review Submitted: 03 January 2013 Date of Stay: December 2012
We spent Christmas week in this lovely home - apart from the good old British weather, everything was perfect. The house is in a wonderful location - just a minute from the Quay with all its restaurants and walking and close to the town centre, yet in a quiet oasis with private parking.

The house is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we could conceivably have wanted. The bedrooms were very comfortable with the advantage of two bathrooms. The variety of TV channels, WiFi and games provided meant that sheltering from the rain was a pleasure.

The owner could not have been more helpful - the information provided was clear and just what we needed and the information in the house made it easy to work out how things worked.

We would certainly recommend this house to anyone looking to explore Poole and the surrounding area in comfort and style,
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and all the facilities of the house, and indeed it is lovely to be in such a quiet spot and yet only walking distance to lots of other activities,

Spacious house in excellent location

5 out of 5
Review Submitted: 26 November 2012 Date of Stay: November 2012
My Mum and I recently returned from a four night stay. The house is ideally situated for visiting Poole Quay and well as an ideal base for visiting Dorset/Hampshire attractions such as Swanage, Weymouth, Bournemouth and New Forest. The alley from the back of the house leads directly into one of the main streets in the Quay.
The house is comfortable and spacious with the benefit of two bathrooms and secure parking at the rear of the property.
The bedrooms are large with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. We enjoyed the selection of TV channels available once we had returned in the evening after dinner.
I would definitely recommend the house to anyone thinking of staying in Poole, looking for home from home comforts.

We shall return

Review Submitted: 13 September 2012 Date of Stay: September 2012
This quiet location is just a 2 minute walk away to various restaurants, bars and local shopping, catering for everyday needs. The quayside with it's busy atmosphere (boat rides to many places) is much the same distance. The house has lots of relaxed charm and comfort plus oodles of space on 3 floors and private parking (for us a large saloon & a small hatchback) The baches of Studland Bay, Bournemouth and especially Sandbanks for our grandchildren were great. Many thanks. We enoyed every moment.
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are really glad that you enjoyed your stay.

What a lovely house!

Review Submitted: 18 June 2012 Date of Stay: June 2012
This house is just perfect. Furnished to a very high standard, comfortable, plenty of space and the added bonus of private parking. The location was superb, quiet but just around the corner from the Quay with all the pubs and all types of restaurants you could wish for. You were also able to walk to the local shopping centre - where you could find M & S, Sainsbury's etc.

Would certainly recommend to others and also return ourselves at some time.

Only problem for us and nothing that the owners could have altered was the weather.
