The location of this property is unbeatable! The property is set in trendy Fitzrovia, in the heart of the West End, a super central location with a village feel and Georgian architecture. This very desirable part of Central London (W1T 4BL) is a wonderful and safe neighborhood with lots going on.

There is a good range of shops and a huge choice of delicious restaurants and bars very close by.

Tourist London is easily accessible on foot or by tube.

Several supermarkets are on hand (including a good Sainsburys, Tescos, Marks and Spencers Food Hall, Planet Organic and Waitrose).

GETTING AROUND

Our closest tubes are Warren Street, Goodge Street, Euston Square (all within 5 minute walk) and Tottenham Court Road and St Pancras (within a 10 minute walk)

Being so central though, you can walk to all of tourist London. The British Museum is 10 minutes away. You've got Oxford Street / Soho very close by (a 10 minute walk), Covent Garden will take you about 15 minutes, Regent's Park about 10-15 minutes. Camden is a 5 minute bus ride. You can head in any direction and arrive somewhere interesting.

Numerous buses stop close by in Tottenham Court Road, Gower Street and Euston Road

LOCAL AREA

Location, location, location! You won’t find better than this!

The local area is buzzing but the flat is in a quiet street so you get the best of both worlds. There’s a huge array of bars and restaurants in the area, including in nearby Charlotte Street and neighboring Soho. For entertainment, you have Theatreland close by, numerous cinemas, comedy clubs, late night bars, dancing and nightclubs.

If shopping appeals, you can shop till you drop in nearby Oxford Street, Regent Street, Covent Garden, Carnaby Street, Camden Market and Bond Street. They are all a walk away.

For outside life, neighboring Fitzroy Square is a peaceful and pleasant place to enjoy a sandwich and watch the world go by.

Alternatively, it’s a 10 minute walk to Regent’s Park, a wonderful 410-acre open space offering stylish gardens with cafés, rose and wildlife gardens, a boating lake, sports facilities, an open-air theater and zoo.

We know the area well and can thoroughly recommend it for its central location, great transport links (although you'll probably be mostly on foot as tourist London is very walkable!) and wide choice of bars and restaurants. It's a highly desirable neighborhood with beautiful architecture and interesting streets. People come from all over London to enjoy some Fitzrovia life. Thanks Liz, the flat is wonderful - new, clean and spacious. When a tube light blew out, it was replaced that day - very good service. The flat is walking distance to many sights. Great restaurants just nearby. I would use it again.

WOHNUNG FITZROY STREET

Wir verbrachten 5 schöne Tage in London in der gemütlichen Ferienwohnung in der Fitzroy Street. Die Nachbarschaft ist lebendig und vielfältig aber nicht übermäßig laut. Es gibt Büros, Wohnhäuser und viele kleine Läden und Kneipen. An der nahen Tottenham Court Road gibt es größere Läden und Supermärkte, die Einkaufsstrasse Oxford Street ist ebenfalls gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Die U-Bahn Station Warren Street ist nur 5 min entfernt, alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut und schnell zu erreichen. Man fühlt sich jederzeit sicher und gut aufgehoben. Die Wohnung ist modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet und bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten völlig in Ordnung. Wir können dieses Quartier guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

LONDON EXPERIENCE

This unit delivers on everything promised. It is clean, comfortable, well appointed and very conveniently located for transport, general shopping and restaurants.
The service from Liz and Jack was excellent. They answered all correspondence quickly and clearly and gave us great personal service.
Our only problem was the noise from outside the adjoining student residence late at night, since the warm weather meant we needed windows open. Liz has since informed us that she could have contacted the Warden who would have addressed the problem.
In all, a pleasant experience, and a very suitable apartment for our needs.

CENTRAL LONDON STAY

There were 4 adult family members in our group who stayed 5 nights in September 2013. The apartment was compact but roomy enough even with the use of the sofa bed. The apartment is well appointed, clean and well maintained. The location is fantastic - 3 blocks from Tottenham Court Rd, 5 minutes from Tube, walking distance to "tourist" London, bars and restaurants to suit everyone within a couple of blocks. Close to takeaways and supermarkets for self caterers - and the kitchen, though small, is adequate enough to prepare a family meal. Communications with the managers, Liz & Jack, prior to our arrival were excellent and they provided lots of really useful information on the flat, the local area and London generally. Check-in was seamless with great directions and Jack there to meet us as planned. It was a bit on the expensive side - the rates were considerably higher than advertised - but it is London and it was tourist season so overall it still represented good value for the location and facilities. We would visit again and would certainly recommend it.

2-BEDROOM FLAT ON FITZROY STREET, SW1

Our stay was split into two stretches, initially for 10 days, finishing with another 2 weeks, with 9 days in between. The foremost consideration for us was the location. Situated in the middle of Fitzrovia, it is a mere several minutes’ walk from Warren Street and Goodge Street Underground Stations. More important for us, it is within walking distance of the theatres and Covent Garden. The convenience also translates into money saved in Tube fares. The flat itself is clean – recently renovated – and quite well equipped. The manager, Liz, is very accommodating. Soon after we arrived, the free wi-fi was upgraded. The flat screen HD TV, probably 32-in, is ok. I did miss the soccer channels, though, but it is just as well, as my time was better spent than watching soccer on the tele. The master bed room is spacious. The second room is relatively small – there is not much space left besides the double bed. One wishes that there is room for a small desk. We did not do any cooking at all, so cannot say anything useful except there is a full electric range and oven. There is a washing machine and a rack for drying clothes. All the rooms are bright and warm (we were there in January and February) and the space heaters were more than adequate. But do allow a few minutes between showers to allow the water to get hot again. All in all, it was a pleasant stay, except for the fact that the elevator broke down a couple of times, including the morning of our departure. We paid the taxi driver an extra £20 to carry our heavy bags down four storeys. While not the responsibility of the rental manager, a timely word of advice as to what to do when one was in a hurry to catch a plane would be much appreciated.

The area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud. Today it is a popular and lively neighborhood with a residential and business mix. The numerous media companies based in the area feed into a vibrant buzz.

Wander along the road to Charlotte Street or Goodge Street for a fantastic range of shops and a huge choice of delicious restaurants and bars. Or, go further afield to Soho or Covent Garden (15 minutes by foot) and again you're spoil for choice.

Tourist London is easily accessible on foot or by tube. Any direction you go in has plenty to see and do. The streets are interesting and safe, great for exploring.

You can walk to the British Museum and the British Library. Camden is a 5 minute bus journey. You can walk to Oxford Street in 5 minutes, Covent Garden in 15 minutes, Regent's Park in 10 minutes, Marylebone High Street in 10 minutes. You could walk to Leicester Square in 15 minutes or go by tube in 5 minutes. You can get to Southbank and the London Eye in less than 10 minutes by tube.
