Why Sigurdur Olafsson chose South Iceland
We are very found of our land, in our eyes it is the most beautiful spot in the world. It is sheltered but have great view over a beautiful Icelandic countryside. If we take a walk few hundred meters up on the hill above us we have a panorama view inland and of the two big glaciers in the south; Mýrdalsjökull and Vatnajökull.
What makes this cottage unique
Our property is ideally located if you like to explore south east Iceland. West boundaries of Vatnajökull National Park is only 30 km to the north of us and stretches more than 300 km to the east. Bus stops only few hundred meters away every morning, driving the mountain trail to Eldgjá and Landmannalaugar and comes back same evening.
