1 ROPEWALK – Lovely semi-detached cottage in a prime St Ives beach location with rare integral garage – useful for unloading luggage and storing beach gear.

1 LOWER SALTINGS - Spectacular views over Porthmeor beach, a large window seat is perfect for watching the surf & beautiful sunsets. Also has the rare addition of a private parking space within a courtyard next to the apartment.

The Tate gallery is built on Porthmeor beach on the site of the old gas works, the shape of the building echoes it's old use. Porthmeor beach area has an industrial past as an area of fish stores and net lofts, now these buildings are used for artists studios. The beach itself became popular in the 70's and is the main surfing beach in the town, providing a contrast to it's genteel neighbour the Porthminster Beach which being close to the station was popular from the Victorian times.

Alongside the surf, Porthmeor boasts a lovely beach cafe/restaurant, shop, takeaway, beach cabins, surf hire, lessons and life guards. It is also the location for the famous Tate gallery. There are fantastic walks from the beach along the coast out to Zennor. Just off Porthmeor beach is the area called the Island, there is a scenic coastal footpath around this area with fantastic viewpoints. The Island allows dogs throughout the year.

Ground floor apartment on Porthmeor beach with private parking space alongside property, sleeps 2/4 - On entering 1 Lower Saltings you are immediately struck by the outstanding view, unusually the whole length of the open plan room follows the line of the beach, providing uninterrupted views from every angle. Porthmeor beach has wonderful sunsets, surf, & the Tate gallery The apartment is situated in the central conservation part of St Ives, down the beach slipway and through the double wooden doors into the courtyard, to one side is the rare advantage of a private parking space. The kitchen was refurbished in 2011 and contains all the mod cons you will need during your holiday whilst central heating and thick granite walls keep you warm and toasty throughout your stay. The arched window is the only one on Porthmeor and one of the lowest over the beach, It is historically significant, as the arch used to be the only access to the beach & famous lifeboats were stored within.

1 Lower Saltings is located on the beautiful Porthmeor Beach, home to the Tate, St Ives. 1 Ropewalk is up the beach slipway and just around the corner, alongside a row of artists studios.

St Ives harbour, is nearby and provides a full range of eating establishments and numerous boutique shops. St Ives is famous as a centre for the arts and there are over 30 galleries spread throughout the town. The Tate is close by on Porthmeor beach also the Barbara Hepworth museum and gardens, and the famous Porthmeor Studios and Art school. The Leach studios have also been re-furbished and are now open to the public. Porthmeor beach is the main surfing beach in the town, & a surf school is on hand for lessons and equipment. For those with younger children looking for calmer waters there is another small protected sandy cove at 50 metres. Please note the google map shows 1 Lower Saltings 1 Ropewalk is 50 metres from this marker, next to the o in Porthmeor Rd.

2 weeks during September St Ives has it's famous festival of Arts and Music, events throughout the town.

The kitchen was refurbished in 2011. It now provides a large Bosch fridge freezer. Neff oven and hob. Bosch dishwasher and washer/dryer. Microwave. The solid beech Laura Ashley dining table seats 6 and is situated next to the kitchen, with wonderful views over Porthmeor beach. The living area is large and seats 6, the beach view is wonderful from each part of this open plan apartment. 1 Lower Saltings has a central hallway from which each room radiates. The living/dining/kitchen area is large and open plan. The living area has 2 sofas and a small armchair, one of the sofas is a fully sprung mattress king size sofa bed suitable for everyday use. A cot, child bed and highchair are available. There is also a large window seat with cushions situated within the granite arch of the window. The majority of the flooring throughout the property is tiled.
