My husband & I are originally from Florida. We moved to France 4 1/2 years ago, and are loving every minute of it. This is our 5th season renting The Butterfly Cottage as a self catering property. We have a 5 star ranking, and all our guests agree we are the best of the best! If you read our reviews, I am all about making my guests happy, down to the smallest things. We are usually fully booked by the end of each season, so keep an eye on my calendar, I update it daily. We have been very fortunate to have many returning guests year after year, and guests that recommend us to their family, friends, and co-workers which is the highest complement someone can give us. We love inviting people into our home, and helping them experience the sights and sounds of this beautiful and amazing region. So, we welcome you to The Butterfly Cottage, and hope that you come join us, and enjoy France!!

Why Linda Plakiotis chose Sarlat
Location, location, location!!! All my guests agree we are in the center of paradise. Privacy, peace, and quiet!! Away from it all, but with everything close by. You have a romantic cottage to relax and enjoy, but within 5 to 20 minutes you can see so many fascinating and historical sites in the Perigord Noir. There is so much to see and do in our area, that you could stay for a month and not see it all. There are beautiful village's and chateaux's to explore; the Dordogne and Vezere rivers offering fishing and canoeing; as well as superb restaurants and shops. There are numerous vineyards of Bergerac for wine enthusiasts and there is a different local market situated in a nearby village or town for every day of the week. This is a wonderful cottage to enjoy and relax in, has all the amenities you could want, and close to everything. We hope to see you soon!!.

Guestbook comments from the owner
The Dordogne is by far my favourite area in Southwest France. The surrounding areas of the cottage are naturally beautiful with rich farmland and rolling hills. There is lots to do and see in the area. Kayaking down the Dordogne was a highlight, as was eating at the many world class restaurants in the different villages. I spent my spring vacation at this wonderful cottage. It is beautifully decorated with fantastic furniture. The king size bed is particularly comfortable all lined with crisp French linen. The mornings are best spent eating croissants and drinking coffee overlooking the beautiful gardens. The afternoons are best spent relaxing on the sun loungers and reading by the large exquisite pool. The cottage is equipped with everything you may possibly need during your stay. In the evening, the pool and Jacuzzi area provides an excellent viewpoint to watch the sunset whilst enjoying some of the finest wine from the nearby vineyards. The owners provide excellent planning, directions and information needed to fully explore the area. The photographs on the website provide only a snapshot of the beautiful property! I highly recommend this to all readers.
