A Two-Night Break in Oxford
My wife and I had planned this Oxford break to visit our God-Daughter, who is at Uni there. As Oxford is such a tourist trap, hotels are expensive, and booking an apartment was a great alternative. We had the upstairs apartment in this converted semi-detached house, and found it of a very high standard, with modern furnishings and equipment. The owner met us on arrival and showed us all around. She was extremely friendly and welcoming, which got our stay off to a very good start. The flat is situated on the main London Road, but with double glazing, traffic noise was minimal - with the bedrooms situated at the back, there was no noise at all at night. The flat comes with its own off-road free parking, but the car didn't move all weekend. The buses into the centre stopped about 100 yards up the road, and dropped you off right outside the apartment. And they were every few minutes, even on a Sunday, and even as late as 11:30pm on the Saturday evening. They were very well used, too. So the location was ideal, the flat was first class, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
