The yacht: a privilege 395 catamaran. Cruising world magazine describes this yacht as “a luxurious cruising cat which represents the ultimate in aesthetics, comfort, and safety for a yacht of this type...or of any yacht for that matter.
Catamarans are very stable and reassuring (they don't heel!), besides that they are fast.
Accommodation: three very comfortable oversize double bed guest staterooms, two with thier own bathroom and shower. Crew have separate quarters and share the second bathroom. Each stateroom has a private vanity with sink, mirrors and closet space.
With her large main salon and cockpit dining tables, this yacht has the cabin, cockpit, and deck space of a 60 foot monohull. All of this space and comfort comes on a fast, stable, and manoeuvrable sailing yacht - with 4.5 feet of draft!
The crew: (from Canada & St Lucia) sailed a 26 ft monohull sailboat from Canada to St Lucia (approximately 4,000 kms). They have since been sailing the entire chain of Caribbean islands and can pretty much take you wherever you’d like to go. They love the Caribbean so much that they decided to build a villa to accompany their sailing adventures. They are both excellent chefs and have been preparing meals for guests both at the villa and on board the sailing yacht. They fair on local cuisine or any requested type preferred.
If you love sailing and would like to learn how or you would like to gain more experience, they offer general sailing education. They are both retired officer’s who specialized in training and education.

Diane purchased this boat in 2012
Why Diane chose Vieux Fort
We wanted to add the sailing yacht property to compliment our villa site #382304. We offer daily tours for our villa guests however, we've found they love it so much they've suggested we offer it as a weekly getaway. We thought this was a great idea as well so here we are!
