Piglet's House (private carpark) is newly renovated and is fully contained on the ground floor, complete with all mod cons. The cottage is spacious, but cosy as there is a multi-fuel stove and full central heating. The accommodation comprises of a hallway, large bathroom including bath with shower over, double bedroom and a living room that is open plan with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with awesome views through the 9 foot wide french doors that open onto a balcony with seating and barbeque. Piglet's House is in the quiet village of Old Town which has its own pub, post office (for provisions), cricket club, golf club, park and equestrian centre all in easy walking distance. The views, peace and surroundings are unrivalled and despite all this, the much-loved and visited market town of Hebden Bridge is only just over a mile away. The town offers so much, from small shops of character to varied restaurants and exciting attractions. Settle in the heart of the Pennines!
Just back from a wonderful week in Piglet's Cottage. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Thank you Gill and Nick for your warm welcome and hospitality. The cottage is a really great base to explore Hebden Bridge and the beautiful countryside of the Calder Valley. And after a hard day walking up hill and down dale, it was fantastic to relax with a glass of wine on the balcony looking out over the beautiful view. We would not hesitate to recommend the cottage to anyone looking to spend time in the area.
Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The cottage is beautiful and the view is simply stunning. The weather was awful and we sat by the window warm and cosy with a fire on the go and watched the weather rolling over the valley - and had a wonderful relaxing few days! There are beautiful walks very close by ( if you're just slightly luckier than us with the weather!), endless options on places to eat and drink inHebden Bridge, and one very welcoming pub with food just 5 mins walk away. Gill and Nick were lovely, making sure we had everything we needed and happy to advise on places to go. The rescued Pygmi goats were very sweet and made us smile! The cottage had everything we needed for a wonderful stay, and the stunning view was the cherry on the cake - we will definitely be back, as soon as possible!
This is the perfect cottage if you are looking for a peaceful getaway from it all. The cottage itself is very cosy and beautiful with superb views from the balcony. It is perfectly clean and has all the amenities and utensils you would be likely to need and more. The pygmies and chickens outside just added to the charm of the place.
Nick and Gill were fantastic hosts, offering great suggestions for local places to visit and allowing us to bring our dog with us too! We also thought that the bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch.
Mum and I are already trying to work out when we will be able to next go and visit, as there would be no reason for us to look to stay anywhere else! The perfect cottage for our break!
After reading the glowing reviews of Piglets House we arrived with very high expectations and were not disappointed. On dropping our cases in the lounge we were met with the most amazing views of beautiful countryside. An air of tranquility and relaxation swept over us and that was the theme for the coming week.
We received a very warm and informative welcome, a lovely bottle of wine and delicious freshly laid eggs, thank you Gill.
The week was filled with excellent and varied days out including Ilkley with lunch at the Riverside Hotel a stroll round the lovely town and a walk to white wells and the tarn up on the moors. Howarth with its literary history,Masham with its breweries and Hardcastle crags with its variety of walks, delicious ice creams and beautiful scenery. On the doorstep Hebden Bridge with interesting shops, pretty tow path walks and lunch at The Stubbing Wharf, perfect.
The property was exceptionally clean and well appointed. We have already recommended Piglets House to friends and family and look forward to returning.
We had a lovely holiday at Piglet's Cottage. It was spacious, well equipped and beautifully clean. We had everything we wanted including the sun
Just back from a lovely week staying at Piglet's House. We were very lucky with the weather and had some great walks, coming home very tired and just relaxing after dinner looking down the valley from the cottage balcony. The kitchen was well equipped and our host Gill was very friendly. The welcoming bottle of wine left on the table was a nice touch. Hebden Bridge is a lovely town and I'm sure we'll be back sometime in the future.
