This beautiful 4 bedroomed Algarve villa is ideally situated on the peaceful outskirts of Carvoeiro, a bustling Portuguese fishing village with beautiful sandy beach and a fantastic array of lively bars, restaurants and shops. The restaurants cater for all tastes with the local specialities being freshly caught fish and seafood, or English favourites such as fish 'n' chips, Indian and Chinese.
There are plenty of stunning Algarve beaches close by, some large and busy with facilities and entertainment such as banana boats and jet ski hire, and some smaller secluded coves for those wanting tranquility. In fact there are plenty of secluded beaches and coves near Carvoeiro, some of which are only accessible by boat but are well worth the trouble. The Carvoeiro area is also perfect for walking and hiking, offering some amazing cliff top walks.
For those who enjoy exploring take a drive to the top of Monchique mountain, the highest point of the Algarve, there are spectacular 360 degree views to the coast and north to the Alentejo. Many of the restaurants along the way serve traditional Algarve dishes such as Wild Boar and Bacalhau. The historic town of Silves, which was once the capital city of Portugal with quaint cobbled streets, an ancient castle, cathedral and museums, is also nearby and well worth a visit.
To entertain the children there are two water parks within a 15 minute drive - Slide & Splash and Aqualand. A little further, approximately 25 minutes from Carvoeiro is Zoomarine, with a few water rides and large swimming pool and home to dolphins, seals and other marine life. The dolphin show is something spectacular for all the family to see, as is the high diving show. Book in advance to swim with the dolphins.
Other nearby attractions include the Carvoeiro tennis club with beauty salon, a diving school, and horse riding centre.
There are several excellent golf courses within a short driving distance from the villa, the Vale do Milho 9 hole golf course is within walking distance, and close by are the Pestana and Gramacho courses at Lagoa, the Silves Pestana course, and the famous Amendoeira Golf course which is the largest in Europe, with bowling and fitness centre among it's many facilities. Discounted green fees and special packages are available on many of the courses.
