Grandmont: Apart from being the perfect place to relax and unwind, Grandmont and the surrounding area are an outdoor enthusists paradise. Horse riding, walking, mountain biking, off road motorbiking and quad biking all start at your doorstep making use of the miles upon miles of chemins and tracks that run through the forests, all are very well signed, but maps and advice are available.
For those who want it a little more relaxing, we have the gardens and pool to laze away the day. There are plenty of relaxing walks around the lakes, all straight from your doorstep.
If you get back and want you evening meal waiting for you, we can do it, no problem.
We will also happily provide transport to and from the bars and restaurants in Ambazac, so if you want to have an extra glass of the local wine with your meal......no worries.

Equestrian: Here at Grandmont we have three horses. We are not an equestrian centre, but competent riders may be able to use the horses to take advantage of the superb riding in the area.
For the complete novice or younger children, you are more than welcome to come and have a go, it could be a ride around the field or the afternoon brushing the horses, its all here and its all very flexible.
A few steps up the lane is a western riding school. In Ambazac itself, there is a superb large equestrian centre which caters for every equine need. They have their own cross country circuit, indoor arenas, everything you will need. We can arrange bookings for you.
Things to do: Walking.......There are miles of footpaths and Chemins that all start from your doorstep. The walks are varied and there is a stunning array of wildlife in the area, you will pass numerous lakes and lots of places to stop for a picnic.
Off Road ...For those interested in off road motorbikes and quads you are a step away from some of the best off roading in France.
Swimming...There are several lakes in the area including Lac saint paradoux with its beaches, boat hire and watersports and beach bars.
Mountain bikes...there is a huge mountain bike trail not too far awaywith plenty of jumps and courses to keep the most experienced bikers on their toes. There is of course the miles and miles of local Chemins running through the Monts to use.
