Large A Frame style home with water access, 10 miles east of Wichita just off of I-35 exit #57 Andover, on the Kansas Turnpike. The cabin was completely updated this year (2012) this home offers 3 bedrooms 2 1/2 bathrooms. Kitchen island with cook station, granite counter. Concrete counter in rest of kitchen with small eating bar in living room. Equipped with stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. Cookware, dishes to serve 12. Washer and dryer provided. Large living room with a wood burner stove, 46' LED flat screen with blue ray player to watch a movie or just lounge around the fire. Very large master bedroom located on upper level with private balcony, king bed, built in desk and cabinets on one side of wall, nice master bathroom. Bedroom #2 has queen bed, looks like a main suite. Bedroom #3 has bunk bed, full on lower with twin on upper. All three are nicely decorated. Large patio off of kitchen with barbeque grill, gas/charcoal.
I was raised in the Wichita area Rose Hill small sub of Wichita. Helen from Florida & I married in 1972, raised three children, have nine grandkids. Have lived in the same area for the past 36 years. I have a metal art studio and travel to different shows all around the country.

We raised our family in the same area, wanted a get away feel home but close to Wichita. We acquired a couple of properties over the years. We've had families stay in our houses for 5 to 8 years.
The surroundings by its self is unique, you feel like you are really far from any town but at the same time only 10 minutes from Wichita. You can watch the stars at night if you are a star gazer. Keep an eye out for and listen for the owls. Foxes roam, along with the squirrels and occasional possum, armadillo. It’s easy to come and stay but very hard with much regrets to leave.
The house is located on a private ranch with approximately 60 residents. The ranch was a private getaway to retreat from the busy city. It developed into a private home development. It has a small non moving water way lined with large trees that menders to Santa Fe Lake which is approximately 600 acres. Most of the houses are built along the river with most having a pontoon boat or canoe to navigate the river. Makes for a very lazy day for pontooning.The ranch, has over 3 miles of private roadway much of it is single lanes, with hills great for a walk, jog, biking. Could take a trip to the new state of the art Andover YMCA, day passes can be purchased at the Y. Have indoor pool, rock climbing wall , racquetball, basketball courts many other activities. Can't say enough about being close to Wichita. Plenty of shopping, sports events, restaurants, theaters.
