Relax and enjoy our 5 star home. Off-peak rates until May 15th. LOVELY, 3 BEDROOM, 2 BATH EXECUTIVE HOME. Our home has an attached one car garage. Open floor plan, light and bright, floor to ceiling windows on three sides of the eat-in kitchen w/ granite counter tops and island, stainless steel appliances, large table with seating for 8. Large island with stainless range with seating for 4. Watch the deer and elk as you enjoy your morning coffee on the deck off the kitchen overlooking one of the elk migration paths in Estes Park.

This lovely home is beautifully furnished in rustic elegance, large living room with gas fireplace. Three large bedrooms all located on the main level; master bedroom elegantly furnished with king size bedroom suite; second bedroom with queen size bedroom suite, third bedroom with two twin beds. 5 Star quality, luxurious 100% cotton bedding! All rooms have large area rugs covering the wood floors as well as the ceramic tile floor in office. Ceramic tile and granite in the 4 piece, updated upstairs bathroom with private commode area. Ceramic tile in updated 3 piece bathroom downstairs. 100% cotton rugs in the bathrooms are changed and replaced with fresh rugs for each party.

For those who like to take their work with them, fully equipped office with desk, printer, WIFI, recliners,for those who might like to get away for an afternoon of reading or napping. Large family room with sleeper sofa and love-seat, large, flat-screen TV, game table, foosball and even a popcorn machine cart for movie night! Full-size Maytag washer and dryer. Large, one car garage. Naturally landscaped yard with gorgeous tall pines surrounded by huge rock outcroppings, (the reason for the single car garage) natural stone steps and landscaping. The large backyard can accommodate a game of horseshoes and badminton or whatever. The naturally landscaped and private backyard is furnished with a full-size grill, (for my Texas guests who enjoy charcoal barbecuing with a little mesquite flavor, the grill is an extra large, combination gas/charcoal grill), extra-long picnic table and seating around the firepit for those chilly summer evenings our mountains are famous for. Plenty of outdoor chairs for seating 8 - 12. (Because of the winds that we sometimes have in our mountains, I keep the chairs folded up in the garage.)

Our home is located in the beautiful and desirable One Thousand Pines subdivision, on a quaint lane one block off highway 7, Peak to Peak Scenic Highway, less than a mile from the main street in Estes Park. Scenic golf course located across the street. Located next door is the historic and charming Stone Home. I call it the Hobbit House, complete with curved doorway and windows.

WIFI, light and bright, wood floors throughout upper level and family room on the lower level. Moss rock gas fireplace in the living room. No more messy wood! A large, flat-screen TV, with satellite connection in both the family room and living room. Lots of games for family fun in television console. Attached garage with garage door opener and with the entrance located on the lower level walk-out. All bedrooms come complete with a luggage rack, alarm clock and a fan for those warm nights in addition to the ceiling fans. Sorry, no air conditioning, however with the cool mountain nights, air conditioning is not necessary. Fully stocked kitchen has everything you will need during your stay including a coffee maker, popcorn popper, crock pot, iced tea maker, microwave and dishwasher. This beautiful home is elegantly furnished in good taste for your comfort and enjoyment. All bedding, linens and towels furnished. Each bathroom is furnished with a hand-held two-sided mirror, hair dryer and also included are (personalized handmade soaps, shampoo, conditioner and lotion) for our guests. Watch the deer and elk graze while surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

For those of you who love to hike and enjoy the outdoors, Rocky Mountain National Park is just a few miles down the road with miles and miles of hiking trails. Gaze upon herds of majestic elk, moose, deer and Rocky Mountain Sheep, foxes, wolves, bears and even the elusive mountain lion. For an afternoon or an entire day, have fun with the children at the Family Fun Center which is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. (Giant slide, go carts, water boats, fun, fun, fun!!!). The YMCA of the Rockies is a few miles down the road with wonderful activities for the entire family. Relax in one of the many parks or at one of the outdoor cafes and walk along the picturesque river walk in town. Browse in the countless shops in downtown Estes Park. About Carol McSwain

Having loved Colorado from the very first time my family and I visited when I was just a young girl, I knew then, that Colorado was where I wanted to live when I grew up. And so, at the age of 20, over 40 years ago, I moved to the place of my dreams.

When my mother would come to visit me during the summers, Estes Park was one place that she wanted to visit each year. Her love of the mountains, especially the charm of Estes Park and the peaceful serenity and beauty the mountains especially Rocky Mountain National Park is something that we both shared. Which is the reason, when I had the chance to purchase Two Pines on Shady Lane, I felt this was one opportunity I just couldn't pass up.

My family and I love to visit Estes Park whenever we can. We love our home and the close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park not to mention the beauty that surrounds this magical place. This a perfect vacation spot for my family and I believe you will find it to be even better than what you expected as soon as you enter Two Pines on Shady lane.

What makes this house unique

Located on one of several migration paths of the elk, hundreds of which pass through this cozy lane. Elk and deer graze in and around Two Pines and often spend the afternoon resting in the yard. Located just one block off the Peak to Peak Scenic Highway. Here is some of the most picturesque scenery in the world. Two Pines offers all the comforts of home with plenty of room for everyone. This home can easily accommodate up to 8 guests comfortably.

We traveled from Tennessee to enjoy the scenery, the climate and hiking with our daughter and son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. At Two Pines we appreciated the fact that you offer a discount to returning guests. The grandkids had a great time and we enjoyed making memories with them. The activities we enjoyed the most were hiking, shopping and the fireworks on the 4th of July.

Everything you could want from the great kitchen to comfortable beds, to beautiful decor. Its conveniently located walking distance from downtown or a very short drive. If we ever come back we know where we want to stay!

Spring Break Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Two Pines. We went to Estes Park for my 6-year old's spring break and despite the weather not cooperating, we were able to get in some horseback riding and spent a lot of time in town. We also enjoyed the herd of deer that would visit the neighborhood daily. Carol did an excellent job of decorating her home with mountain decor and took special care to include all the details, i.e. homemade soap, toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, etc. My children loved the popcorn machine in the basement...it was a great addition to a special movie night. I appreciated that Carol allowed us to bring our dog. We would highly recommend Two Pines to anyone traveling to Estes. Extremely clean and has everything you need!

Spring Break 2015

We had a great time in Estes Park with our children ages 6 and 12, Carol was easy to work with and we appreciated the nice touches, great care was invested in the decor, we loved the beautiful prints depicting local wildlife, and the home had the feel of a mountain cabin in the woods. The children loved the twin beds and the owl pillow on each bed added another thoughtful touch, our 6 year old squeezed and hugged on the owl at bedtime since he didn't bring any stuffed animals from home. The home was conveniently located to town, yet slightly removed enough that we could escape and enjoy the quiet neighborhood away from any noise. The location was perfect for our day trips to RMNP and into town. We appreciated the use of a well stocked kitchen to prepare some meals, the roomy dining table and large windows were perfect for enjoying wildlife! The kids were playing outside one morning as we cleaned up from breakfast when they suddenly ran inside to tell us an Elk was following them, and sure enough we watched the Elk walk directly past the large dining room windows toward the front door just as the children had done. The natural bath soaps were another nice touch and the kids greatly enjoyed the foosball table. The only thing we might suggest is to replace some of the pots and pans with worn Teflon, but this wasn't a major issue since we used the crock pot and glass cookware. Thank you for the use of your comfortable home, we would definitely recommend Two Pines to friends and family, and only hope we could stay longer next time! Had a wonderful vacation and this home was beautiful overall, couldn't have asked for a better home base!

Small Group Getaway

This home was very spacious and fit all 8 of us comfortably. The kitchen was perfect for big family meals. It was missing a few utensils like a liquid measuring cup and some bigger/or extra pots/pans for cooking for 8 people. We got to see deer moving right through the yard and some even came right up to the door. The location of this home was very central for going into town or going out on a hike.

However, there are a few things that one may not think of. Thank you for bringing those things to my attention. You can rest assured that next time you come for a visit, my kitchen will have the items that you mentioned. As one guest informed me, I did not have a lemon zester. I do now. Very relaxing home with great layout

We had a great time at Two Pines on Shady Lane. The house had everything you could ask for and more. Our boys really loved the popcorn machine and the games room. We loved the layout and relaxing atmosphere. There were 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids) and it was great to all be together in the open plan living/dining/kitchen area. The house is very big, the beds were super comfy and the kitchen and bathrooms come well stocked with soaps, kitchen roll, towels etc. The house was clean and had a nice deck to sit out on and enjoy the mountains.
