Overview

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday home in Santa Fe

1 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Adobe Home, Sleeps 2. Kiva Fireplaces In Living & Bedroom

This carefully crafted home, in the heart of Santa Fe, features traditional pueblo style architectural detailing with a kiva fireplace in both the living room and bedroom, Talavera tile kitchen and baths, viga beams in the ceilings, smooth plaster walls, and brick, wood and saltillo tile floors.

A winding flagstone walkway through beautifully landscaped grounds leads to your private gated entrance and adobe walled yard space.

The spacious, light filled, living room of this casita is elegantly and comfortably furnished including a sofa bed, kiva style fireplace, flat-screen television with cable channels, and a stereo system with ipod dock. Complimentary winter firewood is stacked right at the door.

A fully equipped country kitchen has everything you need - china, cookware, glassware, utensils, and coffeemaker, with complimentary Starbuck's coffee for the first morning, as well as all paper goods, and cleaning supplies.

The bedroom features a Kiva fireplace, and a comfortable queen bed, with high thread count cozy linens, for quiet restful slumber. Thick adobe walls, and the peaceful location, tucked in an older residential neighborhood, create a ambiance of serenitity.

The Talavera tiled master bath has a tub/shower combination, and the second full bathroom, a walk in shower. Plush towels, soaps, and a hairdryer are provided for your convenience.

Outdoor living space is an essential part of Santa Fe architecutre, and the patio, with a Weber gas grill and comfortable outdoor furntiure, faces the Jemez Mountains to the west, for views of our breathtaking Southwest sunsets, overlooking downtown city lights - especially gorgeous during the holiday season when Santa Fe is aglow with farolitos.

The location of the compound is one of the best features of this home. Just four blocks north of the historic downtown Plaza, you can enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer - fine dining, art galleries, museums, and shopping. Located 12 miles from Santa Fe Ski Basin, in minutes you are surrounded by the Santa Fe National Forest.

Guests return to Campanilla Compound year after year. Come and see why. Its the Santa Fe experience you had in mind....

Spectacular Santa Fe!

  • 5 of 5

Recently, my husband and I visited Santa Fe for the third time. This time, we chose Campanilla Compound as our home-away-from-home, and we could not have been more pleased. Our unit was spacious, comfortable, and came with 'extras' such as shampoo, conditioner and all paper products. And, super wonderful, the unit was CLEAN! The staff was quite attentive to our needs...we know where we will be staying the next time we visit Santa Fe. OH! And while you are there, eat at the Shed, Tune-Up Cafe, and Chez Mamou! You won't be disappointed! If you are looking for a place of beauty to enjoy the outdoors head north to Plaza Blanc. It will take your breath away!

Excellent accomodations in Santa Fe!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a lovely week-long stay at Campanilla Compound. We prefer staying in apartments like this, as we have more room and can prepare our own breakfast and/or lunch. Our 1 bedroom, 2 bath unit was beautifully decorated, very spacious, and had everything we needed and more. We were especially delighted to find a coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee and mini-creamers. The location was fabulous--in a quiet neighborhood, but within minutes of the Plaza. Our only disappointment was that it was a little too windy and cool to use the lovely, private patio dining area. We would definitely return to CC and highly recommend it.

Unit 3

Great place to stay. The site itself is very pretty. The rooms were exactly as pictured on their web site - actually even better as the rooms were bigger than I expected. The location was extremely convenient to the historic downtown and the Plaza. Actually it is within walking distance (and an easy car drive) of a major shopping center with Starbucks, CVS, and grocery store, movie theater and more. Can't say enough good things about the facilities and the management! This lovely little casita was a most welcoming home for our 10-days in Santa Fe.

Rave reviews

  • 5 of 5

We were pleasantly surprised with our one bedroom, two bath lovely little adobe house. We immediately felt at home. The five minute walk to the plaza was so convenient as well as being on the Paseo de Peralta which gave us great access to anything in town or out. Everything you might need while away from home could be found easily in this rental home. We loved our own private keyed entrance to the property. We can't wait to return.

The Best Place Ever!

  • 5 of 5

We (husband and wife) spent a glorious winter month in Santa Fe at the Campanilla Compound. Not sure if there is enough space here to sing the praises of this spot. The adobe condo complex was surprisingly private and quiet, even with 16 units. The condo itself was immaculate, well-kept, and filled with every amenity we needed except our clothes! It literally was like being in our personal home away from home. Even though I had to keep up with work while there for the month, I had the perfect spot to do my work every morning either in one of the three private patios, or by the cozy fire. Then we would head out for the day to a new adventure. I admit that I lost 7 pounds on this month-long trip because it was such a pleasure to walk everywhere. Even in the snow (which in Santa Fe is like being in a wonderful dream), we walked and walked and walked. It was just a 4-block walk to the plaza, with a "secret" back entrance to the complex that cut off half the hill. The on-site staff were simply the nicest, most accommodating people. We had total privacy, but the staff were ready to help. Just a little hint at a bit more firewood, and the very next day a new delivery appeared at our door. We sat by the fire every evening, and just bathed in the comfort, the coziness, the completeness of our little retreat. Even being close to all of the restaurants, museums, entertainment, public library, post office, shops and banks, we could drive out of town easily to explore the mountains and nearby vistas and towns. This was by far the absolute best vacation accommodation we've ever booked in New Mexico - and probably on most of our other world travels, too. Santa Fe is a magical place. Truly, a major part of that magic was the beautiful Campanilla Compound. Our thanks go to everyone there who obviously works hard to keep the place so clean, well-equipped, and beautiful. I can't imagine anyone who has stayed here not dreaming of when they will return. I dream it every night.

We enjoyed this bright, clean, and private vacation rental.

This cozy one-bedroom, two-bath makes you really get the feel for living in Santa Fe.

The staff was helpful yet respected privacy.

We will be returning.

Campanilla compound sits on a quiet hillside in an older established neighborhood, just 4 blocks north of santa fe's historic downtown plaza. It's a five minute stroll to a myriad of fine dining establishments, museums, fine art galleries and a shoppers paradise of original boutiques. Seasonally, the plaza is home to several international artist markets including both Indian market and Spanish market. Canyon road, famous for its historic adobe architecture and over 100 fine art galleries in a half mile stretch, is a few steps further to the east of the plaza. Outdoor adventure abounds, with the santa fe ski basin only 12 miles up the mountain from our location. In minutes, you are surrounded by the santa fe national forest, with its glorious hiking trails, and opportunities for fishing, biking, and aspen vistas. The world class santa fe opera is located 10 miles north. Ancient pueblo ruins surround santa fe, such as bandelier national monument, taos pueblo, acoma pueblo's sky city and pecos national monument, all within an hours drive. Campanilla compound is just the spot you were thinking of to explore santa fe's history, culture, and astounding natural beauty.
