|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
We designed the villa to be our dream place to stay, a comfortable home with an amazing seafront location and a flavour of the middle east in its design. Because it is on the first floor and there are no higher buildings in the area it was possible to build a large terrace that combines privacy with panoramic sea views.
The front living area/second bedroom has large picture windows and doors onto the terrace, with the aim of bringing the views and light into the villa. The front of the villa is shaded by a wooden slatted pergola and a palm tree that grows up through the terrace. We have incorporated traditional Arabic designs in the carved wood doors, ceilings, and furniture, all made by local craftsmen. In addition the villa has a Morrocan-style tiled bathroom with steps up to a raised bath and the master bedroom has a four-poster bed.
The villa adjoins a small hotel (Sea view Hotel) and has a separate side entrance.
Transfers: We can arrange transfers from Sharm el Sheikh airport to the villa - cost is about £25 total for a taxi for up to 3 people or around £30 for a minibus and the transfer takes around an hour to an hour and a quarter. Quotes for transfers from other airports/locations available on request.
"A lovely villa in a lovely setting. The perfect position, with a gentle walk into town. Great restaurants nearby. A great place to simply "chill out" and get into the Dahab laid back style of life! Bob and the hotel staff next door were excellent, nothing was too much bother. Ayman and the Deep Blue Dive school were equally good with beginners and more experienced divers alike. I would recommend Seaview to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable time ( just dont nick the weeks that I want to go!!)"

Lovely, spacious villa with really friendly, helpful staff at the adjoining hotel, Mr Adul, the owner, helped me out when I ran out of Egyptian cash, you don't get that every day !. . . and the guys who worked there were super ! ! Best bit about the villa is the huge terrace which catches the sun from dawn till dusk in perfect privacy . . and you can hear the sea too ! The villa is very comfortable....good size rooms, kitchen is small and basic but the fridge keeps the beer cool ! The bathroom is big and the shower is good fun as long as you can get hot water ! The loo leaked all over the floor and didn't smell too good, we informed the lads at the hotel but I'm not sure they realised what I was talking about so we mopped it up each day ourselves, hopefully it'll be fixed before our next visit ! Perfectly positioned for bars, restaurants and the sea, if you want decent food go to the Red Cat restaurant, it's on the beach a couple of hundred yards past all the other beach restaurants. . you'll get hassled as you walk. . but keep going, it's well worth it and no more expensive than the others ! The main town and market is right out the front of the villa, haggle like mad in the market, there's some bargains to be had. Plenty of shops sell alcohol contrary to popular belief. . .we bought spirits at the airport but bought all our lager from local shops. We want to go back to Dahab as we've got more to see and more to do. .! Hopefully, if it's available we'll be back in the villa too !
My hubby, our toddler and I visited Dahab for the first time in March. The weather was lovely; warm during the day and cool in the evening. The apartment exceeded our already high expectations. The hand carved furniture and traditional features make this a truly authentic experience and we had lovely family evenings sitting on the huge veranda, overlooking the sea …. look forward to the next visit!
This was our first international trip with our toddler so while we were a little apprehensive about our first big trip, our concerns were soon alleviated with the very child friendly accommodation and super child friendly people in Dahab - we would certainly recommend Sea View and Dahab for the younger visitor. We were made to feel very welcome by the people in Dahab especially the guys from the next door hotel who helped us with hotel bookings and when we weren't able to connect our laptop to the Internet.
The only downside to the holiday was that I must have put on half a stone with all the eating, drinking and relaxing! The food is excellent, the hospitality is second to none and our son had an amazing time with everyone making a fuss.
aptly named property!!
we stayed 1 week in december (remember the snow!?)weather was great-mid 20's,breeze morning &evening, georgeous sunrise & sunsets.
property is fairly simple by western standards, but has all you need in such a setting.we mainly ate in,which took a bit of thought due to the simple nature of the facilities(2 burners & halogen oven/microwave).
if your skills or inclination does not extend to this there are many good looking restaurants within easy reach(go past the first bunch).
the villa itself-wonderous for 2,good for4, 6are best friends.
traditional fix&fit, comfort rather than luxury, bathroom is great,if you have the privacy(or are REALLY good friends) try the bath with the windows open.the terrace is huge and very private,if you are looking for a relaxing holiday then this is THE PLACE.activities are available(diving, horse camel, tours etc.)the staff at the adjacent hotel are friendly and helpful, the pool is clean and inviting,if you need anything then just ask.the villa is cleaned daily, but we tried to do our own dishes and keep kitchen clean as we went along(it takes no time to attract visitors in this climate).
all in all the freedom of the villa takes it to a different level,i would recommend this place to all but the pickiest of our friends(i'd even recommend it to my mother, which is saying something!!!!!!)
happy holidays y'all
My partner and I spent a week at Seaview Villa in Dahab. Brilliant! The highlights—the snorkelling on the reef right outside, which has the best coral I’ve experienced, the views from the terrace, the sunsets, watching the stars at night.
The villa was very comfortable and the staff at the attached hotel were very friendly and helpful. We spent a day on a different beach, and the staff arranged everything including a glass-bottomed boat trip at very little notice.
Dahab is a very chilled out place and there’s lots of places to eat a short walk along the beach front. All in all, it was one of the most relaxing holidays we’ve had.
Five stars! That's for the panoramic views from the terrace, for falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the sea, and for the helpful staff from the hotel. You can walk from the apartment right into the sea if you like. The terrace is huge, completely private, and overlooks the sea. I can recommend watching both the sunrise and the stars from the terrace, and the coral for snorkelling is incredible.
The apartment comfortably slept five of us (four adults, one child). The beds, including the sofa beds in the second bedroom, were very comfortable. We mainly stayed close by the apartment and ate at the local restaurants, which are good value. On advice from the hotel staff we took a taxi ride to a secluded beach (taxis were very cheap) about 5 minutes away when it got a bit windy for snorkelling on the reef next to the villa. We also took a trip to climb Mount Sinai, again arranged by the hotel staff.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location, I can definitely recommend Sea View Villa. I only wish we could have stayed for longer -- we're already planning to go back next year.
To call "Seaview Villa" a "villa" is a bit of a misnomer. It would be more accurately described as a penthouse apartment, but a nice one at that, and we certainly didn't need any more space. It had a nice open plan feel to it, and the terrace was the main feature, as well as the original bathroom.
It is all on the 1st floor of a building attached to the hotel, so you never feel far away from the kind of services you would expect from a hotel any time of day and night, should you need it - certainly an advantage over other self-catering homes on offer. The service itself was always extremely friendly and obliging, even though one sometimes had to ask twice before some things were done.
The view and proximity to the sea was great, and being able to lie outside in the evenings counting the shooting stars was a special feature.
The reason it did not get 5 stars from me was because there were some minor but niggling points that let the place down, such as the cheap fittings, eg. cupboards coming off their hinges, curtain rails collapsing on you when you tried to open them, etc, but on the whole, the Egyptian atmosphere made up for it :-)
There is plenty to do in and around Dahab, and the seafront stretch is a hive of activity with a wide choice of bars and restaurants within short walking distances. I did not believe the owners when they advised us to take a taxi from the airport and get around on foot or bicycle or taxi once there, so I rented a car, which I hardly used.
The coral reef stretches all down the coast, so you will find plenty of fish snorkeling or diving right outside the front door. I thought the price of the accommodation was fair for what we got, although everything in that particular area was pretty low priced anyway, However, we did feel we were living in one of the more original and special locations on the seafront. We would certainly consider returning.
Dahab is a relaxed small coastal resort centred around snorkelling, scuba diving, exploring the mountains and desert and Bedouin way of life, windsurfing, swimming, or just relaxing on the beach or under the palm trees in one of the many beachfront cafes and restaurants.
It has grown from being a tiny backpacker hideaway but has kept its laidback charm, relaxed pace of life, and beauty - the incredible setting with the backdrop of the Sinai mountains behind the resort and the beautiful Red Sea coast with mountains that glow in the sunset on the other side of the Gulf of Aqaba is unbeatable.
The coral reef that is right on your doorstep is one of the best in the world - and you can be snorkelling on it 30 seconds after leaving the villa.
Trips can be arranged by the hotel that adjoins the villa to Mount Sinai and St Katherine's monastery, desert canyons and safaris, nature reserves, other snorkelling and diving sites such as the famous Blue Hole. Travel by jeep or by camel or taxi
