NEWLY RENOVATED APARTMENTS - ELEVATOR

I spent two weeks in the grey appartment in February. It was very clean and tidy, and looked like the pictures. Arnauld was very prompt at responding to my e-mails, making sure that everything went smoothly, and also very prompt at returning my security deposit. Nothing negative to say about the appartment, I would not hesitate in recommending this to others.

The 11th is my favourite area of Paris, as it is away from the tourists, meaning I get to practice my French, and the local shops do not over inflate their prices. It is also easy to get into the more touristy areas from this part of the 11th. This appartment for me then, was perfectly placed; a 3-4 minute walk to either Charonne or Faudherbe metro stops; a 10 minute walk or so to Bastille, or across the river to the Jardin des Plantes. I also felt perfectly safe walking back to the appartment late at night.

Whilst I like to try different appartments in slighly different areas of Paris, I think I would be hard pushed to not want to stop here again on my next visit to Paris.

My wife & I loved our stay in the 'grey' apartment. It was a perfect base for our 6 night holiday in central Paris.
The apartment is on a quiet street near the Bastille region, and is only 5 minutes walk from the nearest Metro station (Faidherbe Chaligny on line 8). Easy to reach from Gare de Nord, with lots of nice cafes & restaurants all within walking distance. In particular the Bistrot Paul Bert (2 mins walk away) is well worth a try. There is a supermarket, pharmacy & bakery all within 2 minutes walk.
The apartment itself consists of a bedroom with a lovely comfy double bed, and lots of wardrobe space. Within the wardrobe is a fan & a vacuum cleaner if required. There is also a lounge/diner, which has satellite TV, DVD, hifi, phone, mobile, free wifi, etc.
The lounge leads into a small but fully functional kitchen, which has a sink, drainer, oven, hobs, fridge/freezer, coffee machines, and a dishwasher. The oven & dishwasher are actually one unit - a fantastic idea that I've never seen before but which is great for people who only have small kitchens!
Finally there is a shower room, with sink, toilet & shower.
The apartment is fully heated with radiators in every room (which we needed in mid-November), and is serviced by a lift (again which is needed because the apartment is on the 4th floor).
The apartment was clean & tidy when we arrived, and everything matched the description offered on this site.
All in all I can't find fault in anything, and would thoroughly recommend this apartment if you are venturing to Paris. Much nicer than staying in a hotel, and more economical because both the room cost and being able to cook your own food will save lots of money.
The owner (Arnaud) is quick to respond to email queries, and provided full details about everything before the initial booking, and then at every further step from payment to arrival & departure.
The refundable security deposit was returned in full within 3 days of our departure.
When we return to Paris in a few years time we will definitely contact Arnaud to see if he has availability!
