Air conditioned 1 bedroom apartment at Kings Park

Our delightful air-conditioned one bedroom apartment, which sleeps 2, has been very well modernized and furnished. It has a very large open terrace with far reaching views both to the bay of Santa Ponsa and also towards the mountains. It is situated on a charming pueblo style residential gated community. There are two pools. Our lounge, with parquet flooring, has modern comfortable furniture. At the rear is an American style modern kitchen with full oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer. The spacious bedroom has a double bed and plenty of cupboard space. The bathroom leads off the bedroom and has a full bath, wash hand basin and WC

Good size apartment with lovely views

The apartment is well furnished and comfortable. The Kings Park complex is very pretty and situated in a nice, quiet part of the town with great views. The view is because the apartment is on top of a short but steep hill so it may be difficult for people with limited mobility. The beach is less than 10 minutes from the apartment and there are loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. If you want to be a lot nearer to the nightlife it would probably be better to stay on the north side of Santa Ponsa but we preferred our location. The beach itself was really lovely! A taxi from the airport was €40 each way.

Spacious apartment, lacks maintenance / cleaning.

This was a spacious apartment in a nice secluded and well maintained location, with a good size open balcony with pleasant views.
It was let down by the lack of maintenance of the equipment, and lack of cleanliness.
Regarding the equipment: There were no pillows, cushions were provided. The kettle was a small travel kettle. There was no change of bedding, and no lounger covers. The chair covers were torn and coming apart and the filling could be seen through the covers. It would not take much investment to rectify all of these items.
Regaring cleanliness: The fridge had particles of dirt and hairs in the door shelves, and the bathroom tiles and curtain had black fungai. The tootbrush holder, cup had toothpaste marks around it, and the windows had not been washed in a long while. The louvred wardrobe doors had dust collected in each rung. Under the bed had not been swept as we found a phone cover. Again it would not take much to ensure the apartment, including the wardrobe doors, tiles, windows and fridge were maintained in a clean presentable condition.

A little money spent on upgrading and renewing some items and a thorough proper cleaning prior to arrival of the guests would change the whole perception of this lovely apartment. Craig Ferguson

Owner's Response: Obviously I am very concerned that Craig did not find the apartment as it should have been. I have already put enquiries in hand to find out what went wrong and I can only offer my sincere apologies. In the details on booking guests are asked to contact us immediately if they find problems so that steps can be taken to put things right and I wish he had done so.

I would like to comment on "pillows" - these are standard spanish type pillows: as the apartment is owned by a spanish family they, of course, provide spanish products. I have asked the owner to provide a larger kettle (spanish people do not usually have kettles) and also asked him to replace the cushion covers for the next season. I have also, as suggested, asked him to review all fixtures and furnishings to bring them up to scratch and I am sure he will do so.

I do hope that future guests will be reassured that this is the only complaint regarding the apartment I have received in 4 years bookings.

Santa Ponsa is on the western side of this lovely island. There is a safe sandy beach where the shallow waters appeal to all ages. The beach provides sunbeds and sunshades for hire and. The resort (within a short stroll from our lovely apartment) boasts many cafés, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets! There is, however, a small supermarket about 3 minutes walk away. This lovely family resort is ideally placed to explore all the amusements the island has to offer, such as to Marineland, the Palma Acquarium, water parks, go kart track, jungle experience. Our apartment is an ideal base for golfers (the nearest course being a short distance away) and cyclists: the island is a venue for serious cycling, with more and more cycle tracks being built. Santa Ponsa has its own marina and the one at Port Adriano is a short distance away. Short term membership of Santa Ponsa Country Club is available offering tennis courts, gym, spa, outdoor/indoor pools.

Although our apartment is available to all ages, Kings Park is set on a low hill. Steps up to the pool may make the property unsuitable for the elderly or infirm. Please confine smoking to the terrace area - thank you! Although a car is not necessary if you do wish to hire then we can direct you to a local firm who offers a reduced rate to guests staying in the apartment.
