Stratos Villas - Rethymno - Crete - Greece: 'Villa Stratos' was the first Villa which was built on a slope of a hill, just 1 km before the historical village of 'Kaloniktis', in the prefecture of Rethymnon in Crete. 'Villa Stratos' was named because of the boss of the family named Stratos. Then, Stratos built two more villas, the 'Villa Fouli' and the 'Villa Maria'. These names are given because of Stratos' and Eva's two daughters, named Fouli and Maria.

Eva, Stratos, Fouli and Maria always do their best for our guests' holidays and try everything to be perfect.

Holidays in March on the Stratos villas

This villa is perfect. The villa quiet, calm and comfortable.
Perfectly chosen interior in the style of the castle.
We had a feeling of home.
Fully equipped kitchen, a loft with great views of the mountains.
The hosts of this villa is very good, friendly, responsive and lovely. They gave us many gifts and prepared a delicious dinner.
This place is very quiet for recreation with children. From the sea drive a car 15 minutes. Also from the city of Rethymno drive a car 15 minutes. In the city we can buy everything we need.
The villa has central heating, so the cold was not even in March. We really liked the holiday at the villa. Be sure to come again.
I highly recommend!

“Our best vacation ever”

We enjoyed our vacation at "Villa Maria" so much. Everything was just perfect: the location, the weather, the pastoral mountains view (from the windows and spacious porch...).
The house is clean and shipshape, well equipped and well furnished and VERY spacious. All the sites are nearby - the lake, the beaches, the picturesque villages and towns. On the other hand it's very convenient - the grocery store, the supermarket, the bank and the gas-station are all quite close.
The hosting family is so generous and hospitable: Eva, Maria, Stratos and Fouli gave us such a good feeling, and Eva's cooking is really delicious. We felt as if we were visiting our own family :-)
We've been staying there for 5 days - couple with 3 teens, and we agreed (unanimously): this was our best vacation ever.

We had a wonderful week in Crete in the the Villa Maria. It is the best holiday house I have stayed in yet; beautiful house, very well equiped, impeccably clean and with lovely views. To top it off the Stratos family were wonderfully welcoming to the 3 of us, providing us with everything we needed- a welcoming pack, information on where to visit, treats from their kitchen and garden and a delicious meal to top it all off.

Couldn't recommend this place more highly.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

One of our best vacation ever !

You are the leader of this project – To get
the houses built and run so well. And you do
it with warmth and kindness – you open your
heart and home to your guests, and it is
working.
We’ve stayed in two of them, and enjoyed
it very much. You chose so well, the beds,
the kitchen, even the curtains – so simple,
and so beautiful.

We love the food you are cooking and
the little “gifts” you leave for us – vegetables
from your garden, jam that you make, fruits –
so kind of you and of course the big smile.

We have had one of the best vacations ever,
