Though located in a regular pine forest, calm and relaxing nature corner, Woodpecker Nest provides easy access to the attractions of Gdansk, Sopot (best Polish sea resort) and Gdynia (20-40 min drive). Exploring our wild and protected beaches of open sea is a must. The windy and shallow Bay of Puck provides ideal conditions for windssurfing beginners. You might decide to rent a sailing boat in Puck for a day and experience a real marine adventure sailing to the Port of Gdansk or Hel. As sailing is our hobby, we can provide assistance. Our quiet cottage is lucky to be in the heart of Polish Kashubian Region, surrounded by lakes and forests of so called Polish Switzerland. You are invited to go south to Kartuzy, Chmielno (30 min drive), or Szymbark with its upside down House which will make you really dizzy. The surrounding attractions are far enough to give you a sense of theme trip and close enough to return quickly to your comfortable shelter once you get tired, especially if you travel with small children. You could see them safely enjoy the playground from your kitchen window.
After a busy day you might wish to enjoy a Hawaian Massage - a qualified massage therapist coming to the House, with a special bed, fragrant oils and hypnotizing Hawaian music. Approximate cost is 15-20 Euro (1,5-2 hour session). Really recommended!
Detailed attractions, 'must see' places and restaurants are described in a leaflet, guides and maps (English or German) provided in the House. We always advise and assist our guests in order to make their holiday as enjoyable as possible. Access to wireless internet will allow you to search for more information once you get here.
