Spacious, Comfortable And Beautifully Furnished Home For 6, Dogs Welcome

Our holiday home has panoramic views across Poole Harbour towards Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills from all the principal rooms. The house is set on the harbour side with a short walk along the shore to Poole Quay, or inland to Poole town. There are numerous cycleways to explore the coast, and the beautiful sandy beaches at Sandbanks are only a 5 minute car ride away.

The ground floor has an open plan lounge/dining area with a door leading to a large conservatory. There is a patio garden at the rear. The new (2012) kitchen is fitted with an electric double oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/drier and fridge freezer.

There is a double bedroom downstairs with views across the harbour from the bed! This has an en-suite shower and WC.

On the first floor there is a further sitting room with panoramic views. A door leads out onto the balcony where you can sit with your morning coffee or evening “gin & tonic” to enjoy the harbour scene! We have Sky TV channels and there is a video/DVD and a CD player. Wifi Broadband is also available.

The upstairs double bedroom also has superb views.

There is also a twin-bedded room.

Knowing the area, we just loved the house and its views and despite living close, we thought this was a property to enjoy. We then decided to share it with others wanting to enjoy the location, and quickly found that we could not accommodate all our regular visitors who kept wanting to return. Hence we branched out again and have two other properties in Poole 82810 and 451628 on the homeaway website.

Relaxing Location

We spend a great 2 weeks in this lovely holiday home, we had some lovely weather and sat on the balcony for breakfast and sometimes dinner overlooking Poole harbour and the green in front of the house, always plenty to watch, a very relaxing spot. We found the house central for the area with some great places to visit even with 2 dogs. Poole is very dog friendly and we found some nice places to eat out with them in tow.

Highly recommended , first class holiday home.

Perfectly situated to take advantage of all that Poole Quay area has to offer. The owners are a joy to deal with and have got the house set up just right to very comfortably accomodate 6 adults across its two tier living areas, sizeable balcony and large conservatory. The locals are very welcoming and we met some real characters throughout our stay who ensured we got the very most that Poole could offer. Spoilt for eating , drinking and sight seeing by road or sea from this most perfect of houses. Will definitely use many times again.

Lovely Holiday Home

The house is well placed with lovely views across Poole Habour, it is equped and furnished to a high standard. The quay area of Poole, where there are numerous places to eat and drink, is a short walk along the harbourside path. The upstairs lounge is a particular attraction with leather sofas and a glazed door leading out onto the balcony.

Fabulous holiday home

We stayed here last Easter (slight delay in submitting a review!) with our 3 teenage children and dog. It's a great house, well equipped, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. We spent time exploring the Jurassic Coast, and did a few coastal bike rides, and spent some time exploring the New Forest. It's a great location as a base and in a lovely spot for relaxing and watching the world go by, whilst also being close enough to all the amenities so you don't need to get the car out all the time. Only wish we'd realised there was a garage (our oversight) as we'd have taken our own bikes with us instead of having to hire them. All in all, a lovely weeks holiday in a fantastic house, thank you Penny and Mark

A lovely property with spectacular views

We had a lovely time at the house even though the weather wasn't perfect. We found plenty to do, a trip to Brownsea, to the beach, Poole Park, Corfe Castle. The house is so ideally situated, especially with 2 small children and easy to walk into town or to the quay. We loved it and hope to come back again at some point. On Thursday evening the weather cleared and we were able to sit outside on the balcony and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine, and with a rainbow over Brownsea and a view of Corfe Castle in the distance. Perfect!

The house is so well equipped and clean and we lacked nothing. One of the best I've been to I think, so you really take care of your visitors. Thank you for having us Penny and David.

Our holiday home is located close to Poole Quay in a quiet harbour side park and has panoramic views across Poole Harbour towards Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills from all the principal rooms. Poole park is a short walk away and Sandbanks with its award winning beach is only a 15 minute drive. There is a chain ferry which leaves every 20 minutes from Sandbanks to cross to Purbeck with its fabulous scenery and heritage coastline. Poole quay and the Old High Street with all its shops and restaurants is a 10 to 15 minute walk. Inland, the New Forest is also a very accessible day trip. To the north, the market town of Ringwood and city of Salisbury are an easy drive away. To the west, there are many picturesque Dorset villages to visit. In every direction there are places to visit and lots of activities to keep the whole family happy.
