Spacious, Comfortable And Beautifully Furnished Home For 6, Dogs Welcome

Our holiday home has panoramic views across Poole Harbour towards Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills from all the principal rooms. The house is set on the harbour side with a short walk along the shore to Poole Quay, or inland to Poole town. There are numerous cycleways to explore the coast, and the beautiful sandy beaches at Sandbanks are only a 5 minute car ride away.

The ground floor has an open plan lounge/dining area with a door leading to a large conservatory. There is a patio garden at the rear. The new (2012) kitchen is fitted with an electric double oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/drier and fridge freezer.

There is a double bedroom downstairs with views across the harbour from the bed! This has an en-suite shower and WC.

On the first floor there is a further sitting room with panoramic views. A door leads out onto the balcony where you can sit with your morning coffee or evening “gin & tonic” to enjoy the harbour scene! We have Sky TV channels and there is a video/DVD and a CD player. Wifi Broadband is also available.

The upstairs double bedroom also has superb views.

There is also a twin-bedded room.

About Mark & Penny Hockey

Knowing the area, we just loved the house and its views and despite living close, we thought this was a property to enjoy. We then decided to share it with others wanting to enjoy the location, and quickly found that we could not accommodate all our regular visitors who kept wanting to return. Hence we branched out again and have two other properties in Poole 82810 and 451628 on the homeaway website.

Fantastic Holiday Home - Stunning Views

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is very spacious and homely and very well equipped, particularly in the kitchen, with all you could need for self catering. We loved the balcony where we could sit with a glass of wine, unwind and watch the ever changing view. It is within easy walking distance of the quay and all its facilities. The house was very clean and comfortable and we were really pleased it was dog friendly. As a family with two teenage girls it was nice that we could have space downstairs whilst they had the upstairs bedroom. Lovely house, great location, very helpful and friendly owner. Also great conservatory and garden. Thanks Penny.

Fantastic views great place to stay

Visited this property early this month. The location is to die for with fantastic views from all the main rooms over Poole bay.

10 minutes walk one way and you are right in the old town with plenty of places to eat - 5 minutes the other way and a lovely park. the road outside is quiet, and the beds are extra comfy resulting in very goon nights sleep

The upstairs lounge is a sun trap, and opens on to a very nice balcony.

Very modern kitchen with a conservatory attached which may be

very nice for breakfast in the summer but was a little cold in March.

The only criticisms I would have are that the shower in the main bathroom is a little week but the one downstairs is fine. Additionally the ensuite is very cramped.

All in all excellent location and value!

Little gem of a holiday home

Well - this property surpassed our expectations. In a perfect location with super views of Poole harbour, Sandbanks and Brownsea Island. We could easily walk our dog on the front which was a massive bonus for us and could take a steady stroll into Poole where there are plenty of shops and dog friendly pubs. The house itself is lovely -plenty of room, very comfortable beds (very important!) and furniture and great touches such as games and a pair of binoculars! The kitchen has plenty of crockery & equipment so we enjoyed eating in a couple of times. The 2 showers are also useful. The conservatory on the back is lovely although we did not get chance to enjoy it in January and the enclosed garden is perfect for our dog. Mark & Penny ,the owners, are lovely and friendly. Overall a very enjoyable stay - much needed in view of some recent stresses - and we have no hesitation in staying again and hope to be back later in the year. Many thanks to you both

The property is very well maintained and had everything that we wanted. It was spacious enough for 6 adults and an 8 month old! The views from the balcony are fantastic. The property is well located and is only a very short walk from Poole itself. We would definitely return.

Relaxing Location

We spend a great 2 weeks in this lovely holiday home, we had some lovely weather and sat on the balcony for breakfast and sometimes dinner overlooking Poole harbour and the green in front of the house, always plenty to watch, a very relaxing spot. We found the house central for the area with some great places to visit even with 2 dogs. Poole is very dog friendly and we found some nice places to eat out with them in tow.

Our holiday home is located close to Poole Quay in a quiet harbour side park and has panoramic views across Poole Harbour towards Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills from all the principal rooms. Poole park is a short walk away and Sandbanks with its award winning beach is only a 15 minute drive. There is a chain ferry which leaves every 20 minutes from Sandbanks to cross to Purbeck with its fabulous scenery and heritage coastline. Poole quay and the Old High Street with all its shops and restaurants is a 10 to 15 minute walk. Inland, the New Forest is also a very accessible day trip. To the north, the market town of Ringwood and city of Salisbury are an easy drive away. To the west, there are many picturesque Dorset villages to visit. In every direction there are places to visit and lots of activities to keep the whole family happy.
