The Kauai Beach Villas are a short drive from the Lihue airport on the east side of Kauai and provides easy access to all areas of the island. The Villas are secluded and absolutely peaceful.
The Kauai Beach Resort is located a quick walk from the Villas with wonderful amenities including restaurants, bars, beautiful pools, a spa, and shopping. All guests of the Villas have access to the resort at no cost - you just have to check in with the front desk at the resort and enjoy the day!
Within a short drive you can be at many of Kauai's historical sites including the old Coco Palms Hotel (think Elvis!), the Plantation for a historical train tour of the first Kauai Plantations and a quick rum tasting (Kauai`s only Rum factory - and it`s GOOD rum!), Smiths Family Luau, the Opaeka'a and Wailua Falls, Wailua River Lookout; Wailua Golf Course; Lydgate Beach Park; and the Coconut Marketplace.
Nearby shopping includes a quick drive south to Lihue where you'll find Wal-Mart, Costco, Home Depot, Macy's, and many other stores and restaurants. To the north is the peaceful town of Kappa with many shopping options.
East Kauai, including the town of Kappa has everything you could want for a fantastic vacation, including a 10 mile paved walking trail along the coast line (highly recommended). There is great local shopping, grocery stores, museums, beaches, and many restaurants. Country Kitchen and Ono's Family Restaurant in Kappa are fantastic, inexpensive, homecooked Hawaiian meals. The Olympic Cafe (also in Kappa) is a great open air bar and restaurant perfect for an afternoon beer while watching the game. The Wapouli Beach Resort has a beautiful oceanfront restaurant for great fine dining!
Take a drive to the north side of the island to the relaxed surf town of Hanalei and the beautiful area of Princeville.
And go south to the fantastic sunny south coast around Poipu. There are endless beautiful beaches on Kauai, but the Poipu Beach Park is one of our favs. While in Poipu be sure to check out Brenneckes Restaurant for happy hour, fantastic food, ocean views, and the great atmosphere...then just sit on the beach and watch the amazing Poipu sunsets.
A drive up the west coast to the stunning Napali coastline has numerous hiking trails for all levels of hikers, but is best seen by a boat or helicopter tour.
