This lovely 1 bed flat is situated in the heart of the famous East End which is packed with universities, museums and historical places. Nearby are the trendy bars and restaurants of Brick lane, or take a walk along the Grand Canal [see photo].

The transport system is the best in London with the District, Central and Metropolitan Underground Lines a few minutes walk away or take the famous London buses. See all the major tourist attractions. Buckingham Palace,Royal OperaHouse; Hyde Park, Natural History Museum. Very close to the City and Docklands.

It has a fully equipped kitchen, a large shower, a very comfortable double bed and sofa. The appartment is professionally cleaned. A Panasonic 32in flat TV . The building; and courtyard are private.

The landlord lives near by;and can give assistance at any time.

Cressy House : Cressy House was built for the poor people of the East End. The block is steeped in History.It has been filmed at leased 10 times over the years, for film and TV, from the BBC ,ITV to small idependant companys.

We were in London for a week in June 2014. Barry was a great landlord who went out of his way to accommodate us. The flat was comfortable and clean. The location was good in that there was a tube station nearby. We would recommend this flat to a friend or relative. Thank you again, Barry.

A GREAT STAY

We had a very nice week at Cressy House, from dec 26th on, including New Year's eve.
The area has got everything you need, including the convenient Stepney Green Underground station, several supermarkets and great Indian and Bangladeshi food.
The courtyard in which the flat is located is charming and very quiet. It is definitely part of the nice atmosphere of the flat, as is the old historical building itself.
The room is confortable for two. The Bed is not very large, though it was not a problem for us.
Barry Holland, the landlord, provided us with an extra mattress for our 12 years old daughter, who stayed in the living room and enjoyed it.
The kitchen is perfect, just the right size for a short stay. We cooked every day.
Barry is very welcoming and will do everything he can to make your stay smooth and nice.
We recommend this flat to everyone.

GREAT EAST END PLACE TO STAY

We stayed in Cressy House for six weeks whilst house hunting and it was such a great spot to be - so close to everything with wonderful transport links and we found the local area safe no matter what time we ventured back. The local restaurants and shops were good value and very interesting and we got to know some of the friendly local shop owners during our stay. The flat is compact and cosy and wonderful to return to after a long day out in and around London. Barry was always helpful and a nice guy if we had any questions - I would certainly recommend Cressy House for either a short or long term stay and the East End is just the place to be - near everything and with a real sense of living London.

VERY PLEASANT LONDON STAY

Tranquil and London can't usually be used in the same sentence. Barry's place was just that. There is a largish cement courtyard with a fenced island of trees and plants and additional planters around the perimeter, a hodge bodge of residents' plants, well cared for and showing individual styles. The apartment faced onto this scene and was quiet and peaceful.
Good water pressure in the shower, plenty of hot water, two tube stations, grocery stores and shops within a 5 to 10 minute walk. Personable, helpful host.
