We've had every kind of event you can imagine here. Marriage encounters, weddings, funerals. Everytime, incredible memories are made and life-long friendships formed.
Many memories have been made sitting and talking on the porch. On bourbon trail, avail Bourbon Festival activities
Cozy cabin with all the modern conveniences. We arrived a couple days after the last snow. The views from the cabins porch were wonderful. Very centrally located to the places we visited. Loved the quilt collection! Thanks for sharing this cabin with us.
The Cabin is such a special place for us! We were engaged there, married there and spent our first anniversary there! The cabin has everything you need! George and Alice go out of their way ensure that your stay is perfect! The experience is only made better by the cabin ambassadors, Doxie and Bubba!! Thanks for letting us share your little piece of heaven!
Wonderful property. Had a great time with my two young children. Close to bourbon distilleries and convenient location to get to either Downtown Bardstown or Louisville. We will be back.
Went down for a bachelor weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Upon entering the cabin we were amazed at the beauty of the hand hune beams that make up the cabins structure. Very neat design. With the intentions of touring the Bourbon Trail this made for a key location to begin the trip. Later in the evening we enjoyed the fire pit south of the cabin over looking a cattle pasture. We also took advantage of the fireplace indoors, that really set off the evening. In the morning there was a beautiful sunrise no one would want to miss. Overall it was a magnificent find and a trip I would love to make again.
Thank you so much to Alice and George for a lovely 2-night stay at your country cabin. The 6 of us (me and my fiancé, his parents, his sister, and our 8-month-old baby) were very comfortable there and had plenty of room. The cabin is open concept, but for groups of family and friends, not a problem! We used the cabin as our central location for visiting a couple of distilleries (Makers Mark, Willett, and Jim Beam), exploring Bardstown, and taking a train ride. The cabin has a nicely stocked kitchen, the bathroom has plenty of space and toiletries/towels for the guests, and everything was very clean! We enjoyed visiting with the two friendly dogs that roamed the property, and they loved to sit with us out on the deck overlooking the hills -- a great view. The dogs barked quite a bit at night when we were there...assuming there was some exciting wildlife they were noticing in the surrounding woods. We are dog people so didn't mind much, but those that aren't used to canine companions might ask George to keep them corralled. :) We would recommend the cabin to others looking for a similar quiet getaway!! Thank you!
The entire experience was amazing, the cabin, the view, the bourbon trail... Wow! Waking up early, watching the fog roll in with a cup of coffee, seemed straight out of a movie. The cabin had everything we needed, literally just bring food and you're set! Campfires at night with the occasional visit from the very friendly farm dogs. I wish we could of kept him! But anyways, this is truly a great place!
