Oh my!!! What can I say? Thank you for a gorgeous cabin stay. Everything looks great including the view. The food in Tennessee was awesome. I think we're going home heavier than when we came. We have to visit again soon.

I live in Monmouth County, New jersey and have been bringing my children and family to Pigeon Forge for over 17 years. I have traveled a lot and I am happy to call Pigeon Forge my second home.

Julie Shaffery purchased this cabin in 2009

Since I was a little girl, it has always been my dream to own a log home. After visiting the Smokys and surrounding areas I knew where that log home had to be. The beauty of the Smoky Mountains is like no other as well as the food, the people, the entertainment and attractions.

After visiting the area a number of times I knew the type of log home I wanted as well as the resort that I wanted it to be in. I kept watching Realtor.com and hoping that one day I would find the log home of my dreams and I found it. I didn't wait and I never saw it in person. I called my Realtor and made a full price offer. I had to have this one. She did the inspections and all of the things needed to buy it. We made it to the closing late and closed on it without ever seeing it. Imagine our surprise to walk into our log home for the first time. Now we can share our dream with you all.

GREAT CABIN CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!

  • 5 out of 5
We selected this cabin because we didn't want to have to travel far to get to attractions. It is a perfect location within the community as well, providing beautiful views. Items that you may want to bring or buy for the cabin are: extra kitchen/yard trash bags, napkins/paper towels, kitchen sponge/surface cleaner, toilet paper and laundry detergent. If you plan on doing a lot of cooking you may want to bring tin foil and ziplock bags too. We have been here for 2 weeks. Yes, you CANNOT place ANY trash outside or you will have a big mess to clean up. When I had a full kitchen trash bag, I placed it into a large black yard trash bag and placed it in the half bathroom. When that was completely full we called Julie she had it picked up. Within the community, there is a 9 hole mini golf course and the clubs/balls are in the cabin. If you are sensitive, bring Off spray to keep the bugs off you. It does get buggy in the evening. We did not use the pools as they were very crowded. The kids loved the game room in the cabin and they used the 2 bedrooms on that floor so they had the whole level to themselves. Beds and pillows are FIRM so you may want to bring your own pillow if you are sensitive. Look at Trip Advisor for Sevier County, TN ratings on area restaurants and attractions. We got lots of great ideas/recommendations from that. We loved the Old Mill, the Applebarn Farmhouse, the Bullfish Grill and the Log Cabin Pancake House. We did Dollywood, the National Park, Magicquest, the Track, Wahoo Ziplines, Rafting in the Smokies Pigeon River rafting and the Alpine Coaster...all great. Cabin is super convenient to everything and we highly recommend it.

GREAT FAMILY VACATION

  • 5 out of 5
We had a great stay in this cabin. The views are amazing - we loved watching the sunset behind the mountains every evening. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed and enough space for everyone to spread out but still be together. The kids loved the pool and the game room. It was close to all the activities we had planned. We ran out of propane for the grill on a Sunday night and were able to reach the owner right away and had a new tank within 20 minutes. We have told everyone we know about how great the cabin is and will definitely plan to stay here again. Everyone can't stop talking about it.

FAMILY GET AWAY

  • 4 out of 5
We were very happy with our stay. The location is perfect as you have the feel of being in the mountains, but are only about 2 miles from the main strip. The house is also located at the top of the complex which gives you a great view. I did not rate it 5 stars for two reasons: 1) there is no trash service and if you put it out in the Rubbermaid storage containers, you will have bears as our neighbors learned. I did email the owner and she had the trash picked up midweek, but we had to keep bags of trash in the house until then. 2) Only one burner on the stove worked well and when trying to cook for 11 people it makes things slow.
The owner was quick to respond with any concerns or questions we had. I would recommend this house and would stay there again.

Owner's Response: Hello. I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay in Pinnacle View. It is unfortunate that the resort is having a bear problem with getting into garbage. When we humans build in their habitat this sort of thing happens. I look forward to you staying with us again.

OUTSTANDING VACATION CABIN

  • 5 out of 5
This was my first time renting a cabin, and the experience was magnificent. The listing described only some of the wonderful features inside the cabin. The cabin was spacious, comfortable, and conveniently located near pigeon forge. Each of the four bedrooms had king-size beds, flatscreen TVs. The master suite was exceptionally large. It included a full-size kitchen and half-bath nearby. The game room was to die for, and included a pool table, air hockey, electronic dart board, and video arcade games, as well as a full-size flatscreen TV. Two large decks opened out to the magnificent view of the mountains and forests below. Each deck had tables and chairs and swings, and one deck had a dry sauna and hot tub. The upper deck provided cooking options for grilling outdoors. Our entire family was thrilled with the experience and overwhelmed with the amenities offered with this cabin. The cabin was clean, supplied with everything needed, including a washer and dryer downstairs. The owner was always accessible by phone or by email, and provided valuable information to make our stay even better. This is a cabin that I would recommend to all my friends, and hope to come back to in the future. While at the cabin, our family took in Dollywood, the lumberjack feud, indoor skydiving, skiing at Chatalooche ski resort, toured nearby Cades Cove, and of course took in most of O'ber Gatlinburg. This vacation is one that we will talk about for years to come.

SOME GLITCHES, BUT STILL AN OUTSTANDING TIME IN A WONDERFUL CABIN!!

  • 5 out of 5
I recently took my daughter's volleyball team to the mountains for a weekend getaway. From the moment I contacted Julie (the owner), she was kind, helpful, and accommodating. She worked with me to lower the price a bit, since our parents were all splitting the cost and I had already promised them it wouldn't go over a certain amount. When we arrived on Friday, I found the cabin to be everything it was promised to be and more. It was spacious, CLEAN, had a great view of the mountains, and MANY wonderful amenities for the girls to enjoy. We did have a couple of things go wrong (dishwasher and air conditioning), but Julie got someone out to take care of the details quickly. Anything can go wrong in any house at any time, it is how it's handled that matters and the problems we had were handled beautifully! We got our deposit back the day after we left the cabin, which is SUCH a relief and I was extremely happy with our decision to rent this cabin!!:)

Owner's Response: Amy, Thank you so much for choosing Pinnacle View. I am so glad that you all enjoyed your stay. Thanks for your patience with the glitches. The last thing I would ever want is for anyone to encounter stress on a vacation. I am hoping that you all come back again very soon.
Sincerely,
Julie
