This spacious stone barn is down a quiet country lane and within a couple of minutes drive of Narberth, the vibrant and busy market town. The Barn is a converted coach house and stables with a mix of traditional features and modern luxuries and conveniences such as wireless internet, travertine bathrooms, underfloor heating, a Mercury range cooker and Miele washer and dryer. With its quiet enclosed garden and little passing traffic, the Barn provides a tranquil base from which to explore the rest of Pembrokeshire's many attractions and amenities such as the Pembrokeshire coast path with its blue flag beaches and theme parks such as Oakwood, Blue Lagoon and Follyfarm. There is something for children of all ages.

Great property, location and service!

We had a great time at The Barn, Crinow. The house is light, spacious and very well decorated and furnished. It is located down a quiet country lane in a quiet location with little passing traffic. The bathrooms and kitchen are of really good quality and our kids loved the giant beanbags in the main living room. There are 2 really nice bathrooms with great showers, one is an en-suite to the master bedroom. The barn was clean when we arrived and we instantly felt at home. The local town of Narberth has some great speciality shops, gift shops, traditional butchers and deli's with hardly a chain store in sight! The location was also great for the nearby beaches of Tenby, Amroth and Saundersfoot. We took the kids to nearby Folly Farm which is a petting zoo but also has a vintage amusement arcade with great traditional rides like Waltzers and Dodgems. Oakwood theme park is worth a visit although its looking a bit tired in places and the Blue Lagoon indoor water park was also great and good value at £18 for 3 hours for 1 adult & 2 kids. The location of the barn is only a few miles off the main A40 trunk road which makes getting around easy, we would love to go again.

Crinow is a small hamlet of 15 houses and farms a mile outside the busy and vibrant market town of Narberth set within the heart of Pembrokeshire renowned for many tourist attractions and amenities and for its local produce that is widely available in farm shops and local food stores. Narberth offers visitors one of the best shopping experiences in Wales, with the unique and independent character of its shops as well as many cafes and restaurants to choose from.

Local attractions include award winning blue flag beaches, Oakwood theme park and Folly farm just 10 mins away, walks along the Pembrokeshire coastal paths, seal watching, ruined castles and boat trips to Caldey island as well as the famous seaside town of Tenby within 10 miles. All these amenities and many more available including golfing, horseriding, go-karting, quad biking, surfing, sailing, shooting and paint balling all within a 15 mile radius of Narberth.

The family bathroom has a separate walk in shower with Hansgrohe rain shower. There is an additional shower head over the large bath. The downstairs shower room also has a Hansgrohe rain shower and separate shower head.

  • The Master bedroom has a kingsize bed and is semi-ensuite to the family bathroom. The very spacious second bedroom has a double bed and double sofabed (new in March 2013 from john lewis) and has a large window overlooking the garden. A travel cot is provided in the wardrobe in the second bedroom with additional 7cm foam mattress (new in August 2012, used by owners in non-smoking household). The third smaller upstairs bedroom has a single bed with a pull out single guest bed. All bedrooms upstairs are heated with radiators and have wardrobes. The ground floor bedroom has a double bed and adjoins the downstairs shower room and is heated by underfloor heating.

Notes:
Underfloor heating and radiators throughout heated by a modern oil fired boiler supplemented by solar panels. There is also a wood stove with logs provided. Heating and logs are included in the rental price. There are solarpower PV cells that supplement the electricity when the sun is shining. There is a large utility/laundry with coat hangers, washing machine, drier, drying racks and plenty of room for storage of bikes and luggage. The whole garden is reserved for the guests however it is not entirely private as the adjacent stable block building may be occupied by the caretaker.
