Family visits Bermuda
Wow, what a beautiful property! SkyLark provides lots to do! My mom, dad, husband and daughter were there a week and only left the property twice. Property manager, Tina, was a great help when it came to island info, airport transport (use Mr. Bean), a trip to the grocery and restaurant suggestions. Our week consisted of the guys out fishing every day and us girls floating and snorkeling off the ocean dock and kayaking, fishing, swimming and awaiting the fisherman from their day at sea (the boat was able to pick-up and drop-off) off the harbor side . Capt. James Robinson on the Wound Up is who to call for off-shore fishing. He got my dad his first marlin and a 700lb one at that! He also took a morning trolling inshore so we could see the island from that point of view and allowing our 2 year old to catch her first fish. In addition to fishing, she was in heaven running around the backyard (with a million dollar view I must say), swimming all over the place and not having to be in her car seat in the cab rides (at least she enjoyed that). We hiked from SkyLark to Hog Bay Beach (nice little shaded beach you must visit at low tide). Ask Tina for directions. We took a 4 hour driving tour by Mr. Bean and that was a real treat. He was very informative and kind! Skylark is nicely decorated, is equipped with the essentials, but take note, is only air conditioned in the bedrooms (which, in the long run, is key). The weather was pretty hot for Bermuda in July, so late afternoons did get warm, but the fans and open windows helped with air flow at least. The property is very private and safe, but cabs were a little hesitant, so prepare to wait a bit and be sure to make restaurant reservations early if you plan on dining out over the weekends.
The property, views, sunsets and memories made were irreplaceable!
We would highly recommend this property!
