My husband and I love to entertain. We have two wonderful children that are going off to college. We have great family and friends. We live to laugh and love! We enjoy traveling to different places and want to make sure your stay is someplace we would love to be. We are easy going and try to accommodate your needs to make your stay everything you expected!
Newly remodeled, close to award winning wineries, this property sits just 2 miles outside of downtown Lodi tucked away in a neighborhood of vineyards and cherry orchards. Easy access to the mountains or the coast. In a special area always slightly cooler because of the delta breeze. Also this cottage has parking for an RV, boat or several cars.
A Unique Benefit to this home is it is walking distance to many wineries. This home also sits by itself with easy access to freeways and attractions. It is perfect for 2 couples and has a sitting area on the front porch with beautiful sunset views and a sitting area for 4 off of the back porch. Fantastic Location!
From the moment I booked this cottage to the minute we left, the owners made sure our visit was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. They were extremely responsive to all my questions too!
The location is perfect: Not far from downtown and close to all the great wineries in the area.
The cottage was extremely comfortable with two spacious rooms, a cozy living room and beautifully updated eat-in kitchen.
The smallest details were not forgotten: Supplies for the bbq, all the essential kitchen tools, towels, and even a few toiletries. The owners were even kind enough to let us borrow their bikes to get around town, though in 100+ degree heat, we ended up driving instead (Next time for sure!)
The horses on the property were sweet and really gave us that "country ranch" feeling.
Sitting on the porch and sipping wine at sunset really set the tone for a wonderful, relaxing weekend.
Thank you, Deanna and Gene for all your hospitality.
I can't wait to come back to your lovely cottage again as soon as my schedule allows!
The cottage was lovely and comfortable. It was easy to find, and we enjoyed the horses, the fruit trees, and the quiet. We were in Lodi visiting family and made day trips in the area. Easy access to Sacramento and small towns in the mountains. The bed in the paneled room was lumpy, and the small air conditioner in the kitchen inadequate for 100 degree days. Other than those two things we had a wonderful stay.
We were in Lodi for a wedding and the bride and groom had booked rooms for the guests at the Holiday Inn. Nothing against a chain hotel, but we wanted a more homey experience. I booked the Wine Country Cottage and it was perfect my sister and I and our significant others. Just like a little home away from home - with a front porch glider and everything.
Nice place to stay! The cottage made us feel right at home. Deanna was very helpful and gave us good recommendations on what wineries to visit. We will be back. Thanks so much for your hospitality!
We stayed at this amazing cottage for 4 days! The owners were fantastic with booking and gave us many ideas for wineries and places to eat. When arriving the cottage sits on it's own property with a Circular driveway around it and is just the cutest cottage we have stayed at. The inside of the cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything needed to feel right at home. The property around the house has fruits you can pick and a horse named Welker. This home made us feel so warm and comfortable. The owners left us a little something when we arrived. (I've never had that before) The wineries they suggested were very friendly and more importantly the wines were wonderful! The owners did offer their bikes to ride around at no additional fee however it was too cold out...we will try this in the future to do a little wine tasting. We had dinner at School Street Bistro just a few miles away in Downtown which was amazing. The owner suggested the meatloaf and bread pudding which my husband ordered and it was out of this world!! They also suggested a wine from Italy which we aren't really fond of Chianti’s but this one was wonderful. This trip was not one of our more expensive trip but one we will never forget!! From the moment we booked the property to the moment we left the cottage is was wonderful. We will be back definitely. A little side note we stayed at another cottage in Lodi and it was more expensive and not half the location or cottage.
Don't hesitate for a second about staying here. The cottage will be everything you expect and more. For two couples, it can't be beat with two king bedrooms. The property was immaculate! We had a couple of questions and Deanne was great in supplying suggestions and recommendations. Bonus points for Deanne and Gene's kind hospitality, not to mention the pastoral setting and great location. We had a ball golfing at Lockeford Springs and visiting several nearby wineries, and had a great lunch in downtown Lodi.
The cottage is close to the beach and the mountains. It is located on the east side of Lodi where many award winning wineries are located. You can walk to many of them. It's in the country so you have the peacefulness of the country but close enough to many different activities. Sacramento Airport is only about a 30 min drive. There is also old Sac that has many attractions. Kirkwood is about an 1 1/2 drive with amazing skiing. We also own a Kirkwood condo if you are interested.
