This unique 3 bedroom apartment has been elegantly furnished with a modern interior design. It's stylish and comfortable with the lovely décor adorning a peaceful and tranquil ambience. Set in the grounds of the owners’ property you will always find someone at hand. Its hillside location displays stunning views of the mountains and provides an uninterrupted flow of constant breeze. All doors and windows have mosquito nets. Breakfast outside on the veranda is a perfect way to start your day. The garden is enriched with mangos, you’re welcome to help yourself. “LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION is the key, it's perfect, just 3 minutes from town, therefore car hire is not essential. Beaches and restaurants are close by with the Carenage, Marina and Harbour even closer. From town you can travel the whole island. Elliz is ideal if you’re looking for somewhere close to all amenities, peace and quite or adventure in paradise with secluded yet fitting accommodation at an affordable price.

Elliz is nestled in the valley of St. George's. It displays a breathtaking view of the mountains and provides a tranquil ambiance which makes it special. It's situated between the Prime Minister and Governor General’s residence in a prestigious residential area just outside town, it's also within walking distance to The National Stadium. The rear entrance of the apartment shares the same grand entrance and stunning view as the Governor General, capturing Grand Anse Beach, The Harbour, Port Louis Marina, The Carenage and a spectacular evening sunset. Its ideal location allows those of you who want to explore the beautiful island to do so with ease, or if not, to sit back and relax. You can either take a bus (stop right outside the apartment) or walk to town where you’ll find the picturesque carenage, market, shopping mall, banks and restaurants. 5 minutes away is The Harbour and Port Louis, a further 10 minutes Grand Anse and other beaches for all diving and snorkeling activities.

  • Elliz ideally accommodates 2 - 4 people or a family of 6. The above rental rates are based on 1 bedroom/2 guests. The rates for 2 bedroom/4 guests is $880 low season and $980 high season. Please enquire for further rates.
  • Last minute bookings welcome.
  • 25% deposit will secure the dates requested. In the event of cancellation it is non-refundable unless a replacement is found. The full balance is due six weeks prior to arrival. $155 refundable security deposit required against damage or breakages.

    Payments are accepted via internet banking, bank transfer, personal cheque or Paypal which includes the option for credit card payment with an additional 4% processing fee.

A lovely apartment with the loveliest people

What an amazing apartment this is in the best possible location! All I could think about was how lucky I was to be living in such a lovely and modern apartment for 5 weeks. The apartment was spotless, with a 'starter kit' ready in the fridge until we had a chance to get food the next day. All bedrooms are beautifully decorated, and the bathroom is supplied with lovely fluffy towels. Town is a downhill 10 minute walk, yet there is also a bus stop right outside the apartment. The mango tree in the garden is also a definate highlight, along with the banana and avocado trees! On arrival in Grenada Lizzie and Elvis were already waiting for us at the airport and were extremely helpful, from helping us with our bags to filling us in on the island on our way to the apartment, in particular showing us the childrens home where Rachel and I would be working for the next 5 weeks. The next day Lizzie even kindly drove us down to the supermarket so that we could get our first 'big shop' as we didnt really know our way around St. Georges! I can honestly say that you can't find anyone better to stay with. They were available as much or as little as you'd like, and Rachel and I chose to spend quite alot of time with them both. We were regularly invited out to restaurants and other places, and were also introduced to their lovely group of friends. Lizzie even helped out at the childrens home with Rachel and I, which even included picking up a KFC for the children, and on various occasions to pick us both up to save us the long uphill walk home! A particular highlight was their own personal 'island tour' where we spent the day going to various places of our choice on the island, and even stopping for a picnic on the beach which Lizzie and Elvis kindly provided. These are just a few of the many things which Elvis and Lizzie did for us throughout our stay in Grenada. The apartment was a pleasure to come home to every night and the comfy beds were just what Rachel and I needed for a good nights sleep. There is so much more to say, but overall if you are looking into staying at Elliz you will almost certainly have the time of your lives and leave Grenada with two new valuable friends. On a last note - I highly recommend that you try one of Elvis's smoothies and Lizzies macaroni pie! Thank you once again Elvis and Lizzie for providing such a lovely apartment and blessing Rachel and I with your company throughout our stay in Grenada.

Thanks Lizzie and Elvis for one of the most wonderful vacations we have ever had in the Carribean. The rental car co. you set us up with was great and Fiona is a treasure.The best rental agent we have dealt with in a long time. Thanks for sharing your home with us - what a dream kitchen for a dish lover like me, made cooking a pleasure. Your veranda is just the perfect place in any weather! I'll never read a book again with out thinking of the view and breezes and comfy chairs.We appreciated your tips and info and introductions so much - all the small beaches we never would have found with out you and the food and yummy rum punches. We were so happy to be able to look after Elvis and keep him busy!! LOL and Vic now wants to becme an electrician too!!! Thank you for a slendid time - we look forward to our next visit and sharing happy times again. kathy and Vic.

Lizzie and Elvis have created a very well-priced fabulous little oasis just 15 minutes walking distance from the shops and restaurants of St. Georges. Nestled into a hillside just below the Prime Minister's residence, the first-floor suite overlooks a quiet community tucked into the basin of a breathtaking forested valley. Surrounded by low mountain peaks, the area is full of fruit and flowering trees and myriad species of evergreens. The suite itself is pristine, comfortably furnished and fronted by a tiled patio that runs the face of the house. Lizzie and Elvis were very kind conscientious hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed, recommending local tours and restaurants providing transportation on request. They are very proud of their home (they live upstairs) and have good reason to be. When they purchased it, the property was a disaster, but with thousands of hours of work and incredible patience, skill and talent, they turned a derelict into the kind of property featured in architectural and design magazines. Although the overall space is perhaps smaller than what North Americans might typically look for, it is very well organized and provided everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable (I slept better than I have for months!), the linens were fresh and plentiful, and the kitchen was well-stocked with all kinds of cookware and a washing machine (a great convenience since we were leaving Grenada for a week of sailing). We enjoyed everything about the place, especially the air conditioning in the bedrooms and the mangos plucked from trees on the property. We spent most evenings sitting out on the patio watching an uninterrupted view of the stars and enjoying the breeze that faithfully kicked up to chase away the heat of the day. As for Grenada itself, we visited some of the island's highlights (including the Chocolate Factory and Rum Distillery), but there were many more that we missed. The restaurants in town were great, the service relaxed and friendly, and the costs reasonable. We also had the great fortune of finding Duffy, a cab driver who very skillfully transported us around the island, safely navigating the crazy serpentine roads all the while sharing the history of the area and its communities. We hope someday to go back to Grenada and spend more time exploring. And we would most certainly choose Lizzie and Elvis' home and hospitality again.

A fantastic introduction to the Caribbean

We have just returned from a wonderful week with Lizzie and Elvis as guests in their beautiful apartment.
We were greeted by them both at the airport and they offered to pick up a meal for us on the way home, as our flight had been delayed.
The apartment was spacious, exceptionally clean and furnished with taste and care. Not your usual holiday rental. Instead, a real feeling of being in someone's home. It was well equipped with AC available at an extra cost, but the constant breeze in their hillside location was enough for us.
The view from our private veranda was a treat to wake up to every day, and the apartment was well located for the regular buses to the Carenage bus station and then onwards to the rest of the island.
Lizzie and Elvis are available as much or as little as you would like, to provide advice and suggestions of things to see and do. Their round the island tour provided us with a local perspective and knowledge which we would not have been able to get otherwise. We thoroughly recommend it!
We hope to return one day - availability permitting!! we would like to thank them again and wish them continued success.

Lovely in all ways

Our family of four, including our daughters (aged 14 and 11) traveled to Grenada for the first time from February 23 through March 2, 2011. We were delighted with our hosts, Lizzie and Elvis, our accomodations at Elliz, and with the island of Grenada.

From our first inquiry about Elliz, Lizzie was prompt, informative and courteous in her replies. She provided us with invaluable information and graciously offered to assist us with various arrangements (rental car, etc.). After a long day of travel, we appreciated being greeted by Elvis at the airport - his "tour" on our route to Elliz was quite helpful. The "welcome basket" containing goodies for our first night and morning in Grenada was perfect.

Elliz is beautiful and tastefully decorated. We were impressed by the cleanliness, accuracy of the website description/photos, and the thoughtful details found throughout. It is well-appointed and has everything a vacationer could want (beach towels; soft pack cooler; mobile phone; maps; brochures; washing machine; cd's; games; etc.). We found the apartment to be spacious. Our daughters enjoyed having their own rooms and each commented on how elegant they were. A/C was offered, but we found the evening breeze was sufficient. We spent a great deal of time on the verandah, enjoying the spectacular view.

We found Elliz to be perfectly situated for our needs - a residential area, away from the hustle and bustle, yet conveniently located to St George's; restaurants; groceries; beaches; historical sites; the open market; and shopping. The main roads are easily accessible from Elliz, making exploring the island, and all it has to offer, a treat. We rented a car rather than walking (downhill into town and uphill on the way home) or taking the buses, which was perfect for our needs as we were out and about for extended periods during the day.

Lizzie and Elvis were exceptional hosts. They kindly made themselves available to answer any questions we had, to provide recommendations, and to offer suggestions for sites to see. It was a pleasure to be in their company, and we especially enjoyed learning about Grenadian culture, their journey to Grenada, and the history of the apartment. While they were generous with their time, they also allowed us our privacy and independence - they were terrific neighbors!

We wholeheartedly recommend Elliz and hope to return one day. Lizzie and Elvis are lovely, and Elliz is a treasure!
