About Arlene Burns
After a few decades of exploring the wilds of the world (based in Kathmandu, Nepal), I settled in this magical spot in the Columbia River Gorge. This great little hamlet of Mosier is a rare treasure. The community is rich with sports, art, music, craft beer and stunning natural beauty. No traffic, no stoplights, no parking meters! My years in Asia have influenced how the property is furnished, with beautiful old Tibetan pieces, and art.
Arlene Burns purchased this house in 2001
Why Arlene Burns chose Hood River
This property is a rare jewel within the city limits of Mosier, but surrounded by nature. It is perched above Mosier Creek (where salmon still spawn in season) and across from undeveloped open space, as well as beyond stellar views of the Columbia River and the Syncline, all part of the National Scenic Area.
What makes this house unique
Newly remodeled, everything is clean and fresh. Walking distance to Post Office. Biking distance to miles of world class road biking, mountain biking, including the old scenic highway to Hood River. Waterfront access for kayaking, windsurfing, or swimming at Mosier's Rock Creek Waterfront Park. Moments from Mosier's swimming hole, aka Pocket Park.
