3 bedroom apartment sleeps 5, 2 bath, excellent location near two sandy beaches

You can't get a better location than this! Right on the bay, a few minutes walk from two lovely secluded sandy beaches is our light and airy 3-bedroom apartment in a beautiful romantic setting. A portable air conditioning unit keeps a cool termperature even in the hottest months. The sun streams on to the large balcony each morning, perfect for meals al fresco. In the landscaped Platges de Fornells grounds, the apartment is reached down tree-lined steps to its own front courtyard with built-in barbeque area. Comfortable modern living/dining area with FREESAT TV offers stunning sea views from the balcony. The main twin bedroom with full en suite bathroom, and the double bedroom next to a second bathroom look out to the bay and the third one-bed room looks onto a quiet private courtyard. The kitchen has gas hob, electric oven, new microwave and large fridge with ice compartment. The second bathroom has a brand new washing machine. Pools, restaurants and mini-markets are 2-3 minutes away.

Platges de Fornells is a smart and exclusive resort very near to the traditional fishing village of Fornells. It is a short journey 20 miles north west of the capital Mahon and the international Aeropuerto de Menorca, and there are regular bus services between the main towns, and the airport and Playas De Fornells. A taxi fare from the airport, or Mahon itself, to Playas de Fornells should cost around 30€ for a taxi carrying 4 people plus luggage. The north of the island, particularly in summer, lends itself to relaxing away-from-it-all family holidays, and the evenings the many welcoming bars and restaurants provide very high quality cuisine and a friendly atmosphere, without the frantic clubbing environment of resorts in the south. The second city Cuitadella (to the West) is a charming sophisticated port with beautiful architecture, many elegant shops and also a lively street market at night, perfect for a stroll after dinner at one of the many port-side restaurants.

Notes: We welcome families and can provide a cot for babies. There is a new portable air conditioning unit which can be used in any room. The breeze from the bay also keeps the apartment comfortable even in the height of summer and ceiling fans keep rooms cool by night and day. The apartment is managed by Sa Caseta De Menorca, whose office is a five minute walk away and open seven days a week. Staff are extremely fluent in both English and Spanish. The picturesque fishing village of Fornells is just a five minute drive away. The village has a wonderful selection of restaurants and bars, fashion shopping, a market, a beautiful little church, banks and a playground with swings and slides. Golf can be played just 10 minutes away at Son Parc - which also has a fabulous white sand beach and safe bay swimming.

A most enjoyable holiday in this lovely apartment within a fantastic setting. It was great to be able to go off exploring and return to that super balcony to relax with the sea on your doorstep - not even a pathway separating you from the sea. Even on a windy day you can just move your chairs a little way into the apartment yet leave the folding doors open and you still have your balcony by the sea. This is a real plus. Paul dealt with everything perfectly for us, providing us with information and even his home mobile number just in case we needed help but there is a local team on hand also. Altogether a lovely experience.

My husband and I have just returned from a week staying here and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The apartment was clean, spacious, comfortable and perfectly equipped. The view from the balcony was beautiful, particularly in the evening as the sun set. We had no problems at all, the whole holiday was completely stress free (exactly what we needed!) and this is hugely down to the fabulous organisation of the apartment owners who are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. They provided us with ample info before we went and upon arrival and we were not disappointed. Fabulous apartment, wonderful island, beautiful setting and can't wait to return! Highly recommended!
