GROUND FLOOR CHALET, FRONT LINE TO THE SEA / BEACH. AIR CON

Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday chalet in Puerto de Alcudia - Chalet La Vista

4 Bedroom semi-detached quiet location by the sea. 7

Great location by the sea, this charming ground floor chalet sleeps 7 people , it is ideally situated for those that want a relaxing quiet holiday. With the property being first line to the sea overlooking the mountains and with the port of Pollensa in the distance there is no other place to be, a nice chilled out holiday. The property has a covered terrace again overlooking the sea/views and other terraces to the side of the property for private use, these are also equipped with plenty of seating and tables for alfresco dining. There is a pretty garden and small grassed area to the front of the property. There is a living area with plenty of seating and a dining area with TV and seating for 8 people. The kitchen is well equipped with all the electric appliances including a dishwasher. There is also a utility area with washing machine. The property has reverse cycle air-conditioning so suitable to use throughout the year there are two units. There is also an outdoor shower for use

Beaches: Barcares is ,for families who prefer a quieter spot, right by the sea the nearest beach being Es Clot a stones throw away excellent area for children Only 5mins walk to the town of Alcudia with all ammenities

Port of Pollensa. The bay of Puerto Pollensa starts just by Barcares and is approx 7 kilometres long from Barcares / Alcudia along the coastal road, this is very popular with kitesurfers and windsurfers.

Alcudia beach. Superb. Longest sandiest beach in Mallorca, so much so that you don’t get cramped for space. Water shallow. Usually enough breeze to take an edge of the heat. Well-maintained, lifeguards and medical provision. A great Walkway / Promenade at the back of the beach from the Port of Alcudia so you can walk, cycle, skate to the area of Playa de Muro or the natural park called S'albuferra (Or carry on walking over the sand to Can Picafort). There are Beach bars and restaurants/bars/shops close by. The beach at Puerto Alcudia is rated with four stars.

Nearby Alcudia: 5mins.The town of Alcudia and the unspoiled areas to its north are really the places to enjoy sights walkable to the old walled town and the church of Sant Jaume and the Roman ruins of the Ciudad Romana (Roman town) lend Alcudia its strong historical heritage. The Roman town is a significant archaeological site, dating from the late second century BC, the exact date being put at 123BC when Pollentia (its name) was founded by Quinto Cecilio Metelo. Pollentia was subsequently subject to development and destruction in fairly equal measure, and from the third century there was a lengthy period of “decadencia”, which means as it sounds in English but also translates as decline, though one suspects there was fair degree of decadence too. Nowadays it is possible to determine the general shape of the town and its street layout as well as the forum and temples. The Roman theatre followed some while after the founding of Pollentia. There is a market through these streets every tuesday and sunday

Walking, Cycling in Mallorca: Walking in Mallorca, with particular emphasis on the rugged Serra de Tramuntana. There are lots of routes from easy to hard, some well off the beaten track enabling you to explore the most diverse terrain around the island. Rugged mountain walks contrast with remote valleys, while waymarked trails give way to long-forgotten mule tracks and hidden mountain passes. Some walks run close to breathtaking cliff coastlines, while others pass through sleepy villages where welcome refreshment can be obtained. Birdwatchers, geologists and historians will find abundant interest throughout Mallorca.

Cycling in Mallorca has become very popular over the years and more or less is continuous throughout the year. Cycles can be hired if need be and delivered to your accommodation.

For many years, Majorca (Mallorca) has been the place to go for winter and early spring cycling. Countless professionals and cycling enthusiasts flock to this beautiful island off the Mediterranean Coast of Spain.

WE LOVED IT!

  • 5 out of 5
The pictures really match reality, the rooms look exactly like that, so you know what to expect! We loved it, coming from rainy Ireland for a sunny autumn holiday with our three children, all we wanted was a house to ourselves where we could sprawl out, have a run-around in the garden, and be independent of meal times and a schedule.
for a family with children this is ideal, with fully functioning kitchen, washing maching and washing line, safe outdoor space, couple small bathrooms, big dining area. Tiny things, like the safe not working don't bother us, but if you are very particular, please double check with the owner beforehand about the things you need in your life.
A nice surprise and bonus for us was to find a garage with few bits and pieces for the kids, toys for the beach, and all cleaning materials for the house that you normally have to buy from scratch, including the basic spices and seasoning like salt/ pepper and few herbs and a little survival kit from the owner for late arrivers.
Right by the entrance door grows a lovely bay leaf tree, so if you are into cooking, you'll find this a charming addition.
the house is at a 10minute walk from the old town, where you find all the cute little places to eat and drink your coffee, but for the best Pealla in town look a couple of kilometres further to Port d'Alcudia, Restaurant BISTROMAR, right by the harbour. you'll never look back to any other Pealla in your life, we thought.
We will definitely come back to the chalet! Anything from the hand-over of the keys, giving directions, explaining the appliances in the house or dealing with a broken toaster etc have been easy, promptly and reliable, and even more so in a lovely friendly manner.
We definitely felt at home, and at the same time away from home, we had an amazing time that exceeded our expectations for sure and we are hoping to return before too long!! Thanks for all, Malena and Debra!

SITUATED IN A GREAT SPOT

  • 4 out of 5
We had a great relaxing holiday. The area is quiet, peaceful and right by the sea. The chalet is of a good size and the description fair. We loved it so much we have booked again for July.

Barcares is set between the bay of the Port of Pollensa and the old HISTORICAL town of Alcudia. Bonaire being further around the bay. Also near to the very popular Port of Alcudia which boosts the longest sandiest beach on the island. Barcares is for a relaxing quiet holiday this is not a tourist resort although there is one hotels here this is a quiet locals area with great views of the Mediterranean .There is a friendly local bar / restaurant ran by a english lady and her mallorcian husband. There is a local bus service if needed to take you to the port of Pollensa or the port of Alcudia although if you like walking it can be accessed by foot the bus service also services other parts of the island for sightseeing etc. The old mural town of Alcudia is a slow 5 minutes walk from the chalet, here you will find anything and everything that is needed to help ensure your stay is a pleasant one. No need for a car as you have everything in walking distance to you.
