perfect Cotswold Christmas

  • 5 of 5

A cosy well appointed house which was ideal for a family Christmas. Comfy beds and well equipped. A big asset having 2 bathrooms upstairs

The owners had made it look festive with a tree and were on hand offering any help if we required it

The pub across the road was welcoming and our meal in the restaurant was excellent

I can thoroughly recommend this lovely barn as a base for a Cotswold holiday

Lovely Homely Barn Conversion

  • 4 of 5

What a fabulous, homely, spacious, comfortable barn conversion! My family and I spent a lovely 5 days in Barton House Barn. The village and surrounding area was simply stunning and ideally situated to explore this part of the country. It was well equipped and had everything you could possibly need and the sonos sound system went down extremely well with my husband. The owners were lovely and just left us to our holiday but were there if we needed them. The only slightly negative comment I would make, was the skirting boards and windows were not as clean as expected, in fact quite dirty, and there was quite a lot of cobwebs. Saying that, we still had a fabulous holiday, and felt very much at home and could have moved in and didn't want to come home :)

Very relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at Barton Barn with our daughter her partner and our two grandsons. We found the location great , it was nice to have the pub just across the road and enjoyed a lovely meal there on our arrival. We visited Bourton-on-the-Water and Bleinham Palace which were both quite close. The Barn was beautifully and very tastefully decorated and furnished. We would love to return for another visit sometime.

Idyllic setting in the English countryside.

  • 5 of 5

The Barton House Barn is a beautiful, well equipped place to stay. We arrived there from the chaos of London and it was heaven on earth. We were a bit further away from Oxford than we had wanted but it was worth the drive. Shutford was in full bloom The locals at the George and Dragon were welcoming and the food there was excellent. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The property lies opposite the Church and Manor House and close to the George & Dragon pub. Church Lane is a no through road which leads directly onto open countryside. Shutford, an attractive village in North Oxfordshire, offers an ideal central location from which to visit Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa to the north; Cotswold's art galleries and tea rooms to the west; or Woodstock, Blenheim Palace and Oxford to the south.
