The Creek House is a luxury house which is equipped to a very high standard and was awarded it's 3rd consecutive 5 star Gold award in June 2014. It is situated on a quiet private road on the outskirts of Southwold within a 15 minute walk (less than 5 minutes in the car) from the centre of the pretty town and sandy beach. It has five bedrooms, two first floor bathrooms ( 1 ensuite), a large ground floor shower room with toilet and a separate ground floor toilet. The generous indoor space includes a very large kitchen, dining and sitting area, which comfortably accommodates 12 people This room also takes advantage of the outstanding views at the rear of the property. The sitting room and master bedroom both have bi-fold doors onto the superb first floor balcony with its panoramic views over open countryside towards the church, lighthouse, water tower and Edwardian houses in Southwold.

The generous size garden has a sheltered terrace with large table and chairs and BBQ. There is off road parking for 4 car

Places to visit in the local area: .

Aldeburgh - A pretty town on the coast with a shingle beach. Freshly landed fish can be bought daily from the fishing huts on the beach. The annual Aldeburgh Arts and Literacy festival is held in June. Also famous for it's connections with Benjamin Britten.

Thorpeness - A very quirky village on the coast with a shingle beach. The village was built in the 1920s and is centred around a large boating lake called the mere.

Dunwich- A very small village with a great pub on the coast with a shingle beach. Dunwich used to be a very large town a couple of hundred years ago but most of it has been eroded into the sea. The local museum there

is well worth a visit and gives an insight into it's history.

Dunwich forest and heathlands - Miles of walks.

RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve - Lovely walks and great for bird watching.

Snape Maltings Concert Hall and Galleries - Lovely setting with shops and restaurants.

Woodbridge - A beautiful town situated on the river Deben.

Wow, what a wonderful house!

  • 5 out of 5
We booked The Creek House to celebrate mums 60th Birthday. We were a party of 8 adults, 2 children and 1 infant (so 3 generations). The house provided plenty of space for us all, the lounge was very relaxing with a wonderful view and the bedrooms had plenty of storage space. The kitchen diner was absolutely fantastic - suited us perfectly! Very well equipped, a lovely big table so we could all eat together, a chill out area and the wonderful view (again) made it the perfect room to spend most of our time in! The whole house was very clean with plenty of towels for everyone.
The children loved the swing in the garden (sitting out in the garden or on the balcony in the warmer weather would be fantastic). The photos just don't do the house justice! I would definitely recommend this house!

Christmas at The Creek House 2012

  • 4 out of 5
Sadly we have now returned from our Christmas holiday at The Creek House in Southwold. Three families (six adults and five children - teenagers mostly)spent a week relaxing and seeing the sights of Southwold - despite the torrential rain! The house itself was ideal for our party. A luxurious property, tastefully furnished with ample bathrooms and super kitchen facilities including two ovens, side by side (ideal for our huge Christmas lunch). The sensor lighting in the super bathrooms was very clever. There was always hot water available, even with so many people taking baths/showers. The little touch of shower gels and caps together with the freshly-laundered towells was welcome. An incredible wi-fi facility allowed many pc/game users to access the internet without a hitch - excellent facility.

We could visualise how perfect this house would be for a summer break with its close proximity to Southwold town, the harbour, golf course not to mention the Adnams Brewery and cafe. We saw a beautiful sunrise from our master bedroom with its panoramic view towards the town. We enjoyed the Christmas Day Charity Swim at Gun Hill (especially as my husband dressed as Santa and braved the freezing water and storm of hailstones!) A great holiday in a super house. Could have stayed longer!

The Creek House ticks all the boxes for large family get-togethers - well set out - well equiped and clean. Easy walk to Southwold - even for 4 yr olds. We went for Sunday lunch at the Randolph - 10 min walk away in Reydon - excellant food - v special. We rented a Beach Hut at Gun Hill, which we all fell in love with and the weather was kind to us.We will have to have a return visit - and the men folk have become fans of the Adnams Brewery !!! (they cure bacon with the beer and it's to die for).Thank you Julia for letting us rent your lovely property.

What a find.

  • 5 out of 5
We took children and grandchildren for a week at beginning of July. Fantastic house, lovely decor and well equipped and clean. Enjoyed the terraces for drinks and eating after cooking on the BBQ. Large garden..excellent for kids. Small general store a few mins walk away. You can walk to the pier and sandy beach. Nice shops in town. Went crabbing which was so much fun. Hired bikes for exploring. All in all had a brilliant time in a brilliant house and location.

THE CREEK HOUSE WAS FABULOUS...

  • 5 out of 5
The Creek House is an amazing place to stay... The place was spotless, brilliantly equipped, easy to keep clean and the layout of the house is perfect. The kitchen/diner/lounge/terrace is the perfect space for cooking, relaxing and eating. Having many toilets and bathrooms was fantastic too and a brand new fridge was a bonus!
We had a wonderful time and would love to come and stay again. We'd all highly recommend it.
Many thanks

The Creek House Southwold Suffolk

  • 5 out of 5
This was an amazing property and location for our reunion. We were all bowled over with the quality of the accommodation-every attention to detail was there yet it retained a homely charm to entertain in.It really was a pleasure to stay in the house as it offers so many areas to enjoy from the kitchen/diner to the lounge, decking and balcony.
As a location Southwold offered evertyhing we could wish for within walking distance-the most amazing pier, beaches, shops and restaurants. This place really has it all, after a weekend we felt as though we had experienced a week away and none of us wanted to leave.
Top tip-the chinese takeaway we ordered on our first night was fantastic ( menu in information folder ).
Hope we can return next year.

Southwold is a pretty unspolit seaside town situated on the Suffolk Heritage Coast . It has a beautiful long sandy beach which is adorned by colourful beach huts, a working lighthouse, harbour and stylish pier. The unique town consists mainly of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian properties and has lovely open green areas. Shops range from a quality butchers, greengrocers, delicatessen to chic boutique shops and art galleries. There is a good choice of hotels and restaurants and local pubs which sell the locally brewed Adnams Ales.

The area is great for walking or cycling with miles of footpaths and quiet roads and tracks to cycle along. There are a couple of cycle hire shops in Southwold which stock bikes of all sizes. The footbridge or hand rowed ferry crosses the estuary near the harbour to the pretty village of Walberswick which has a couple of pubs, shops, a cafe and a lovely sandy beach. Crabbing is also a very popular pastime here particularly for the children.
