Large hilltop villa in Provençal style, completely renovated in 2007, in a beautiful garden, overlooking the bay of St Tropez and a close-by large sand beach. The property enjoys a panoramic and spectacular sea-view of the Bay of St Tropez and has a large terrace with a mosaic-tiled large pool (6x12 m) with a trampoline, the pool is nicely lit in the evening. It is equipped with a motorised hard cover. The garden is 1700sqm, and filled with Mediterranean plants including citrus trees and scented herbs. At the poolside there is a BBQ with a summer kitchen corner. The house is elegantly furnished in a light and fresh way, large modern kitchen with all modern facilities; induction cooker, American fridge/freezer with ice-maker and the house is enjoyable also in winter with central heating. It is situated a few minutes from an 18-hole super golf course. All four bedrooms as well as study are air conditioned
Beach: The house is situated near the large sandy beach of La Nartelle. There you have a choice between several commercial 'Plages' or a large public beach. There are possibilities to rent pedal boats, windsurfing equipment and you have a choice between restaurants and snacks. In the evenings you can fish from the shore, and take strolls on the beach. There are also activities for the young, such as volley-ball competitions and similar facilities.
Area: This area is characterized by beautiful soft hills, covered by parasol pines. From our terrace you have the panoramic view over the sea, all the way to the peninsula of Saint Tropez and there are plenty of possibilities to take walks in the hills behind. In the house there is information in English with advice of restaurants and excursions, useful for the first-time visitor. Tennis, golf and boat excursions are other attractive activities.
Sainte Maxime: The town has an old and picturesque centre, with pedestrian streets, small shops and plenty of restaurants. Fresh fruit and vegetables are offered every day on the market and the night’s catch of fresh fish is offered in the harbour. The Swedish royal family is seen on the streets, as they have a residence in town, and the closeness to Saint Tropez by shuttle boat service, has increased the popularity of this beautiful resort.
We are a Swedish professional couple who have just moved back to Sweden after almost a decade living in the UK. We have spent virtually all holidays in Sainte Maxime during the last 25 years and feel very welcome in the town.

We came to Sainte Maxime in our late thirties with our two sons looking for the sun. As we did speak some French, France became our choice. We bought our first house, a semidetached house, and loved our holidays there with our two sons. We had been introduced to this little town by some Scandinavian friends, and fell in love with it - as it was so different from the big city character of the areas closer to Nice. After some ten years we had the opportunity to buy a larger house and found this property which has since become our central meeting place for friends and family. The view - in addition to the distinct Provencal features makes anybody fall in love with this property. As it is these days equipped according to standards of a Scandinavian house for permanent living, we do go there frequently also in winter, when it is beautiful in the Côte d'Azur and lovely. There is a lot of warmth, laughter and love as well in the walls of this house!
It is a house constructed according to the Provencal tradition and has a distinct Provencal character. However fully renovated a few years ago and freshly decorated and equipped according to the tradition and needs of modern life with the lightness and touch of a Scandinavian family - with a Provencal flair.
The uniqueness is fully understood when people step onto our terrace and become mesmerized by the view. They usually become completely silent! We have had tenants who have expressed their absolute surprise at something much better than any photo had revealed. Further, the terrace where we really live during summer, is large and situated with the pool just on the very terrace and at the same level, does make it easy to guard children in the water at the same time as you enjoy your time with the rest of the party.
There is a large kitchen equipped and planned for several kitchen workers at the same time - and the view from the kitchen is beautiful due to an open plan architecture.
We do keep the house in a very good shape. We continually invest in new garden furniture, in fresh textiles, in little paint here or there in order to keep the house in impeccable shape. People use to be very content!
Sainte Maxime is situated in the Bay of Saint Tropez, about an hour's drive from Nice Int Airport. There is a lively harbour housing fishing boats, pleasure yachts and regular vessels between Sainte Maxime and Saint Tropez as well as excursion vessels and several diving establishments. Our house is situated east of the town centre, on one of the hills above the sand beach of La Nartelle. It is a very large beach with both ample public areas as well as several up-market beach establishments. Behind our house you will find the Sainte Maxime 18 hole golf course, some five minutes by car
Golf: The house enjoys one close-by (6-7 minutes by car) spectacular 18-hole golf course (Sainte Maxime) and several within 15-45 minutes. (Beauvallon, Roquebrunne, S:t Endreol).In the house there are brochures and contact information for several courses. We usually play most of our rounds at Sainte-Maxime's and Beauvallon's golf-courses but there are no problems to spend a 36 holes/day golf holiday on the courses in the vicinity.

Rates include all utilities, gardener, pool keeper as well as bedlinen and towels and end-of-stay-cleaning. Cleaning services during stay can be arranged at tenant's expense.
Broadband access included as long as in-house router and connection is used. There is also a multi-task copier/scanner/printer available.
Long term (minimum 1 month) winter rentals available at reduced rates.
Guests pay a reservation fee upon reservation and the balance one month before rental.
