18th century stone white-washed house with garden and 3 terraces in Unesco-listed village of Hora and just below the 11th century monastery of St John. House contains many charming historical features (bread oven, stone arches, water cistern, wooden beams, local antique furniture, carved stone, etc...).

Great views on the sea, on mountains (island's highest point Prophet Elias) and on monastery. House faces South (protected from winds and on quiet side of village).

Wi-Fi. Sailboat.

HOUSE sleeps 4 - 8 people; 4 bedrooms: 2 twin, 1 king size, 1 triple (connected to king size bedroom); 2 South-facing sunny terraces with great views (great for al fresco dining; sundowner drinks; star gazing); living room; dining room; kitchen; indoor courtyard, 2 bathrooms.

BIG GARDEN: on various levels with vines, orange, prune & apricot trees, bougainvilleas, old olive tree, cypresses; cistern; old ruin converted into third 50 m2 very private terrace (hammocks and great views; various shaded reading areas.

House has broadband internet / Wi-Fi.

Free access to a sailboat can be organised ('Laser' sailboat for 1-2 people). Tennis/squash available on island. Great hikes. Possibility to charter day boats to various beaches and islands.

This 18th century farmhouse with garden is in the historic centre of the village of Chora, a Unesco World Heritage site on the Island of Patmos. The house is a 100 metres away from the famous 11th Century Monastery of St John 'the Theologian' and offers great views of the sea, of the island's highest point Prophet Elias, of the village and of the monastery. The village is car-free given the narrow winding streets. The house is a ten minute drive to the sea. There are numerous lovely beaches to go to on this lovely island. The absence of airport on the island means that mass / package tourism is absent from the island...

  • To make a booking, payment of 30% of the rent is required.This amount is non-refundable should you cancel the reservation. The remaining 70% of the rent is payable 2 months before the start of your holiday.

    An additional refundable deposit of 500 Euros against damages will be required and refunded shortly after your stay.

    The price includes a weekly change of linen and towels for use in the villa and one beach towel per person.

    Payments can be made in either Euros or Sterling.

    Optional additional laundry / washing-up/ housekeeping services not included but available. Please enquire for such additional services.

My friends and I spent here a wonderful holiday last august. The location is breathtaking and the villa itself is beautifully decorated and furnished. Visitors can enjoy the quietness of this charming location and the proximity to the main square in Chora full of bars, little shops and restaurant.
We recommend this villa to anyone who is looking for a truly unforgettable holiday.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
