Le Colombier is a luxury holiday home set in ¾ acre of landscaped garden, 5 minutes walk from the Dordogne river, cycle track (Sarlat-Souillac) and village amenities. The accommodation is generously sized with contemporary styling and has all the modern facilities to enjoy a stress-free holiday - satellite TV/DVD, Wi-Fi, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Downstairs, there is a large dining/living area opening out to a covered terrace that provides shade from the midday sun. The combination of 4 bedrooms and a spacious mezzanine allows it to comfortably accommodate up to 10 adults. Two modern bathrooms, one with walk-in shower, the other with bath plus shower and 2 separate WCs. Laundry area with washing machine and ironing facilities if required. Grass lawns with established plants and scrubs provide a perfect setting and make the property suitable for families with children or couples alike.

Our 10m x 5m HEATED private pool gives you enjoyable and uninterrupted swimming April to October.

Ideal holiday home

Three generations of my family had a wonderful holiday at Le Colombier. The accommodation was spacious and spotlessly clean with all the facilities we required. The garden was particularly impressive with large, safe play areas for the children and a beautiful heated swimming pool which we all made full use of.
The location is ideal with the picturesque village of St Julien being a few minutes walk away to buy bread and other essentials while the larger towns of Sarlat and Souillac are within a few minutes drive. The village itself has a couple of very good restaurants and an added bonus was being able to walk to the river beaches.
I would not hesitate in recommending Le Colombier to anyone who wants a relaxing, stress-free holiday in the Dordogne.

We arrived at the house after dark and Steve was there to show us how everything worked. He couldn't show us how the pool cover worked in the dark but he came back the next day to instruct us. The house was beautiful, well furnished and very comfortable. The pool was great. We particularly liked the fact that we could walk into St Julien in the morning for the bread. It is a lovely little village with a bakery, butcher, pharmacy and two small shops which seem to stock most things plus a bar with an open air cafe beside the church. There is canoeing within walking distance and loads of walks and bicycle tracks. The house seems to be pretty central to explore the Dordogne valley as we visited a lot of beautiful places but it was always nice to return to the quiet and comfort of Le Colombier.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and we would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful secluded garden with a lovely large well maintained pool.

We had a brilliant holiday and loved the house - it was perfect, and all we could have wished for.
It was spotlessly clean, well maintained, with all facilities as advertised.
The location was excellent, and we enjoyed being within walking distance of the village and the Dordogne. It was also central for Sarlat, Domme, Souillac and Rocamadour.
The garden was delightful, with beauitiful trees and shrubs.
The pool was a real treat, and we swam every day. The cover for the pool was very easy to operate.
Good customer service was provided by the owner, and the local management team.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the property to our family and friends.

Just returned!

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in this excellent property. The accomadation was generous and clean, especially when compared with some others we have stayed in before. The pool facility was great, and even when we had a storm we were able to sit out on the large terrace and enjoy the refreshing air!
Location to Sarlat & other tourist sites was excellent, and we were able to walk into the villiage which was well served with essential shops & the all important bar!

We would have no hesitation in returning!

If you are looking for somewhere in a quiet rural location within easy reach of local ameneties this could be the perfect spot.

Having mulled for sometime on where and what we wanted for a summer break, I spotted this on a notice board at my place of work.

After contacting the owner Steve directly and confirming cost / availability. We wasted no time in making our reservation.

Steve advised on the best routes and crossings for making the journey by car. We chose the eurotunnel with advise from Steve on how best to book.

As per supplied detailed instructions of how to get here and whom to contact 20mins before expected arrival. We arrived at Le Colombier to be warmly greeted by Leslie from the management company.
Leslie showed us round and made sure we were familiar with the modern, spacious and well laid out property which was exactly as described. The property was spotlessley clean with all 8 beds made. Leslie made sure we were well settled and ensured I knew how to find the village stores and location of Supermarkets in nearby Sarlet before leaving us to our own devices. Leslie also informed us we could call upon her with any issues 24 / 7.

Le Colombier is a property which will sleep 8 comfortably in the four spacious bedrooms and 10 if required by utilising the Sofa bed situated in the very large landing area at the top of the stairs. It has all modern amenities for your use (Washing machine, dish washer ect)

St Julien De Lampon is lovely peaceful village a 5 min cycle ride or 10 min walk away. It has a bakers, butchers, grocers/general store, cafe/bar, pharmacy and friendly locals.
The town of Sarlet 20min drive away with many shops and supermarkets caters for anything else you may need.

Whilst my wife spent the week relaxing by the pool, myself and the children split out time between the pool, climbing trees with zip wires, pony trekking, exploring the river and cycling round the.local area.

The only regret we have from our stay is we only had one week. The weather was fantastic with tempratures between 30 - 35c during late August.

I would recommend this property to anyone. If like us you are a 2 + 2 family take some friends along, we will for our next visit.

Situated in the heart of the Dordogne valley in the charming village of St Julien de Lampon, there is easy access to the historic towns of Sarlat, Domme, La Roque-Gageac and Rocamadour with fantastic restaurants, chateaux and attractions. In the village, you will find everything you require including bakery, butcher, grocery, bar with tobacconist, restaurants, doctor, pharmacie, post office and the bank with ATM. There is also a weekly market every Thursday. St Julien is set on the south bank of the Dordogne river, where there is a river beach and shaded picnic area. This is the perfect place to hire a canoe and mosy down the river or if you are feeling a little more energenic, cross the famous viaduc bridge and you can access the Sarlat-Souillac cycle track. Horseriding - Carlux 2km, Golf - 17km, Lakes for Swimming - Plan d’eau at Grolejac 5km, Waterpark - Quercyland at Souillac 15km, Aventure Park - Indian Forest Adventure Park 5km, Famous Cave - Le Gouffre de Padirac.

SWIMMING POOL - Our HEATED private pool is 10m x 5m with roman steps. There is an electric security cover for your convenience, both for safety and to preserve pool temperatures overnight. 8 sun loungers are provided. Pool heating is operational late April to early October, giving you enjoyable use of the pool in lower season. WHEELCHAIR ACCESS - Removable ramps have been constructed to overcome single steps to the property both front and rear. Easy access to the terrace for outside dining and to the garden. Downstairs floor is all on one level with a continuous tiled floor throughout, making it ideal for wheelchair users. Downstairs bathroom has large walk-in shower.
