Fully renovated for 2013

Chez Kelly a detached 3 bedroom house in the quiet village of St Martin des Fontaines, recently renovated to a very high standard and retaining many of the original features this property has all new fittings and furniture. Close to the amenities of Fontenay le Comte, Chantonnay & St Hermine. Approx 15 mins from Fontenay le Comte, 45 mins from the long sandy Atlantic beaches from La Tranche to Les Sable d’Olonne.

Kitchen: A very well equipped kitchen including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge & freezer. An electric Range cooker with 2 ovens and a griddle plate. Breakfast area with table,

Living area: The comfortable lounge has 2 large sofas & 2 armchairs with English Sat TV/DVD player,

Bedrooms: The master bedroom has a canopied double bed, plenty of drawer units & vanity mirror, chaise lounge & open hanging space. This room is en suite with a jet power shower cubicle, basin with vanity unit & toilet. 2nd bedroom has 2 double beds, drawer unit & small wardrobe. Bed 3 has bunks.

The house : Chez kelly has everything you would expect from comfort to a corkscrew.

Both in the lounge and dining rooms are log fires so why not put the kids to bed, uncork a bottle of wine and relax in front of a rip roaring fire [obviously in the winter ], as in the summer you will be alfresco with the gorgeous weather we get in the Vendee.

Our pool is above ground as you will be able to see from the pictures and with a bar and restaurant around the corner hey what a holiday.

The area has many attractions to suit all the family and is ideal for walking, bike riding, bird watching, fishing, sailing etc. There are a number of high quality golf courses in the Vendee many of them to competition standard. St Martin des Fonataines has a bar/restaurant and pizzeria within walking distance. A mobile baker van calls most days in the village. The nearby village of L'Hermenault has a boulangerie, bank, post office and small supermarket. There is also a pharmacy, doctor & a dentist. You are 15 mins from the Mervent lake and forest and 15 mins drive is the larger town Fontenay-le-Comte and has all the major stores and facilities you may require.we now have a computer with internet connection

Notes: Garden & outdoor facilities: There is ample parking for several cars, a small lawn area, the pool is above ground & is 4.5m diameter, the raised patio is located at the side of the house & the pool is close to this so you can watch the children whilst partaking of the odd glass of wine. Miscellaneous: Fold away bed, travel cot % high chair are available should you need them. there is also a z bed for the unexpected guest. Now there is a psp2 with games. Activities: You are just 45 mins away from the port town of La Rochelle with its wonderful seafood restaurants, the marine aquarium is well worth a visit with the family. Other attractions like Futuroscope, Puy du Fou (le grand parcour and cinescenic night show) & the brandy houses at Cognac are all easy day trips.

We spent a lovely week relaxing at Chez Kelly. It is a quiet area at this time of year (January) which is what we wanted, but only a short drive from the town and shops. There is a restaurant and bar in the village not far away, but we enjoyed spending time in the garden area and having barbeques.
I would recommend this property as it makes you feel at home and everything you could need is available to use.
Recommended for:  Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

This was the second time that we have stayed in one of the owners properties and as ever it did not disappoint.

The accomodation was extremely comfortable - a home away from home! The neighbours were very friendly and the local restaurant owner made us feel very welcome.

All in all we were looked after vey well and would definitely recommend the property to anyone.

We have just returned from a very relaxing week at 'Chez Kelly' , the house provides all the facilities and home comforts required for a very comfortable holiday including enough to keep teenagers occupied!
The house is furnished to a very high standard providing plenty of room in both the house and the garden.

The location is very peaceful yet only a short drive from towns and supermarkets. La Rochelle is aprox 30 miles away and well worth a visit especially the old port where you can dine in one of the many excellent cafes of restaurants seafood being the speciality.
There is small restaurant/bar in the village which is only a short stroll away, the owner is very friendly and helpful along with the local people.

All in all an excellent property for a relaxing holiday.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

oh my god what a great time we had in this beutifull house in the Vendee. The house had everything and more as far as facilities we required for our stay. The lounge is lovely, the dining room divine along with a state of the art kitchen. Outside is a garden and driveway with a patio area with a barbecue which was well used. There is also a pool at the house which again was well used by all as the temperatures soured through th 40's during our stay.

The locals were extremely helpful especially at the local bar Cousote where traditional French cuisine is served plus a variety of pizza's for the kids.

Larochell is the local port about 30 miles away where you can shop your heart out and enjoy freshly caught fish and prawns.

The great thing about our holiday is that while we had a busy time exploring France both inland and the coastal area is that every time we returned there was nothing but solace, peace and quite. Perfect.

The interior furnishings and fit out of the kitchen made our stay at Chez Kelly extremely comforting.
Upon arrival we were amazed by the amount of information available in the property for local attractions and things to do.
Local bar restaurant La Cussotte, served excellent food and even take away pizzas! The owners Pierre Alan and Noel are such friendly people and made us welcome every time we visited.
Pool was invaluable with the heat of the sun.
Will definately be going back.
