This is a no smoking property.

Alexander House will provide the perfect location for any family holiday or celebration. Located 3 miles from Auchterarder and Gleneagles and only 1 hours drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow.

PLEASE NOTE: The dirveway to the house is long and steep and has uneven surfaces in places. We strongly recommend at least one member of your party has a 4X4 and that the driveway is not suitable for sports or low clearance cars.

The caretakers live on site in an apartment which has its own completely separate access. The Pool and Games Room are available between 8am and midnight except by prior arrangement.

Alexander House - Perthshire

We stayed at the wonderful Alexander House for 4 nights from 10 September 2012. It was our first family holiday in many years and we had a great time. There was 8 adults (4 couples) plus a baby. On arrival Mike and Maureen greeted us and showed us around the house. The house is extremely well equipped and has everything you could ask for. As we had our one year old son with us this was great as it had everything you would need, highchair, travel cot; monitior; steriliser etc etc! As there was 4 couples there was no need at all for squabbling over who gets the best room! all bedrooms are gorgeous and all have their own special features and benefits. The kids room is also fabulous with bunk beds and toys. The house has plenty to do for all the family from DVDS, play station, wii, books, toys, boardgames etc! The 2 main living spaces are amazing, the drawing room where we sat and relaxed chatting with the wood burning fire in the background! the kitchen is also great with a HUGE dining table, sofas in front of the full SKY TV package that pleased the boys!! Then of course there is the HOT TUB! fantastic luxury and just what everyone needs! We had nice crisp dry clear weather and the views from the house are magnificent! The gardens are also great and the boys liked playing catch with the american football! To be honest you do not need to leave the house! but if you do decide to leave we had walked a couple miles to nearby Duchally Estate where we enjoyed a nice lunch and glass of wine. Another day we drove 5/10 mins to Gleneagles where if you park at the drive range you can have a nice walk round the course. And the final day we drove 10 mins to Glendevon for another nice lunch at the Tormaukin. To be honest I could go on and on, but if you have a group of friends family I would highly recommend Alexander House for a holiday! It would suit anyone of any age whether couples, groups or families with kids.

FANTASTIC PLACE FOR A FAMILY CELEBRATION

We travelled from north and south to meet to celebrate an 80th birthday - 18 of us in total. From the minute we found Alexander House on the web to the minute we left after our weekend break, we had first class service.

The house itself is definitely geared up for families - is tastefully decorated and extremely spacious. The heated outdoor pool is an asset too - for young and old!
The house was spotless and equipped to a high standard.

The added extra was the catering that we asked for - a celebratory birthday meal and then prepared food the following evening. Maureen and Mike, live adjacent to the property and the service they provided us with was second to none - friendly ,warm but inobtrusive as well. They are such a lovely couple - nothnig was a problem to them. We ate in the house all weekend, so did not visit local restaurants.

During the day, other relations visited us and there was plenty of room for nearly 30 of us.

We all are going to recommend Alexander House to our friends and family. A wonderful, fun, but relaxing time was had by all.

Absolutely stunning Alexander House

We have just returned from a truly wonderful weekend in Alexander House.

The house is situated on the top of a hill and looks spectacular as you drive up to it.

Looking at the pictures of the house online is impressive, however seeing it for the first time for real completely exceeded my expectations. Although it is a modern house with every mod con you can imagine it has a wonderful warm traditional feel about it. And for such a vast house it is extremely cosy with underfloor heating.

The house is beautifully decorated to a very high standard and is immaculately clean.

Our party of 22 ranged from 7 months to 84 years and there was something to do for everyone. Games room, swimming pool, dvd's,books, plenty of places to relax and a hot tub. Just make sure you don't get a spray tan done before you go or you won't be able to use it - like me ;0(

Fabulous house for parties we even had a band in the living room and danced til the wee small hours.

Maureen and Mike who look after the house are fantastic and always just a phone call away. They really made us feel at home and provided us all with a lovely meal on one of the nights.

Just one complaint - the weekend wasn't long enough none of us wanted to leave

A truly beautiful house in a stunning location. Once you've been you will definately want to go back

A 5 star treat at Alexander House

We are a family of 10, two sets of 'young at heart' grandparents, two couples and two boys aged 12 and 6, and we had an wonderful, fun-filled long weekend at an amazing House. The photographs, the facilities and the descriptions are all true to word. Other than food supplies there is no need to take anything with you as children and adults are well catered for with everything you could wish and more. If you are a family like us you will enjoy snooker competitions, playing water polo in the pool and being in the hot-tub in February was an absolute treat. We have lovely memories of the 6 'boys' outside playing a game of football while the ladies were curled up by the log fire with a glass of wine or two - absolute perfection!

As advised you will definitely need a 4x4 if you go in winter as the house is up high, hence the views, and the track up to the house is very bumpy but that's a small price to pay.

We enjoyed assorted takaways one night from the Indian and the Chinese Restaurants that are noted in the book and the bonus is there is no washing-up to do - hey presto, you just fill the 2 dishwashers

We would highly recommend Alexander House, it's a truly lovely House.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Exceeded expectations!

I just had my 30th birthday party here with my friends and the house is amazing! Usually these websites make the accommodation look great in the pictures and when you get there you feel let down, not here! The house is actually far better in real life! Rooms are huge and in great condition, you have no neighbours to annoy, hot tub, pool, stunning views, the list goes on!

Customer service was great, lots of contact about how to get there and get in. We were recommended this house by our friends and I will certainly be recommending it to others!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
