The owners have been renting properties since 1980. They bought their first holiday rental at Huntingdon Place in 2003. They enjoy the holiday rental business because you allow us to meet new people all the time. They pride themselves in making a home from home for their guests. Providing the small extras can make such a difference to peoples level of satisfaction. has been in the hospitality industry for more than 40 years in Edinburgh.

The property is situated in private gardens and overlooks a small local park. This provides the benefits of a central location without the noise of the City. The local area is very popular with all age group with local restaurants, bars, cinemas and a theatre which stages National productions.

This property is situated in a quiet cul de sac. The grounds common areas are well maintained and there is private individual parking which is essential in the busy City of Edinburgh. There is unobstructed view from the lounge,kitchen and bedroom of a small well kept park..

superbe appartement proche du centre

bien situé, propre, neuf. le propriétaire est vraiment gentil. Lors de notre arrivée, nous avons trouvé des biscuits, du pain, de la confiture, du thé et du lait dans l'appartement. L'endroit est calme et joli, tout est à portée de main : restaurants, supermarchés, arrêt de bus. À 10 minutes à pieds de Princess street. Thank you for the lovely stay !!

Excellent apartment in good location for Edinburgh

An excellent apartment, well furnished and a good location. The owners obviously take great care in providing a good service which is evident in the standard. the little things matter here including a welcome pack of milk, bread, fruit etc. It was everything and more we had expected from the listing on Home and Away. Private parking is a bonus as Princess St is only 15 minute walk away. Highly recommended

Huntingdon Place Review

Huntingdon Place is a quiet residential area within easy walking distance of the city centre. The apartment offers private parking.
The apartment is always beautifully presented, always very clean and bright, very well maintained, extremely comfortable and superbly well equipped for two or four guests.
Customer service is excellent, warm and friendly. The owners always provide useful items on your arrival, bread, milk, fruit etc. which are very welcome. The owners are clearly considerate and competent people who want you to enjoy your stay.
Not only would we recommend Huntingdon Place to friends and family, we have taken them there. Our visits are in double figures and we hope for many more.

Outstanding accommodation worth the money

Just returned from a very hectic 4 days at Edinburgh Festival and can honestly say this flat exceeded my expectations. It was set in a quiet off street location with a little park outside AND it was close enough to the city for a lovely short walk uphill to Princess St or a very easy hop on the very frequent buses. There was a local Tesco metro and many restaurants and festival venues within minutes walk. The accommodation was very well kept and maintained with better than usual furnishings for this type of rental. Very very happy with our stay and will use on future trips out of festival season just to enjoy the many other attractions Edinburgh has to offer.

PS Oh by the way it had a washer and dryer and a good selection of DVDs, which is fantastic when travelling with children.

We have spent three to four enjoyable weeks in this apartment for the last five years and will be returning again this year.

We have always had an excellent reception to this well appointed, serviced apartment which is conveniently and quietly located.

Shops, transport, entertainment and places of interest are within walking distance and there is a very good bus service.

We can thoroughly recommend this apartment which we regard as a home from home.

Edinburgh Retreat

There is something quite special about this delightful Edinburgh apartment that makes me return to it time and time again. My last visit was for almost a fortnight in May 2011 and as usual I wished my stay could have been far longer.

A friend and I regularly and without guilt, leave our sport mad husbands at home in England, once and sometimes twice a year, in order to pursue our own relentless passion of family tree research in Edinburgh.

This apartment is absolutely perfect for our needs. Everything we need is in it. We feel completely safe, happy and relaxed there in the knowledge also, that the friendly and helpful owner is only a phonecall away should a problem occur. It is so clean, stylish and comfortable that we immediately feel at home and the 'welcome pack' of bread, butter and fruit upon arrival is such a nice touch. There is a small Tesco store just a short walk away to stock up with other essentials.

The apartment is in a smart, quiet residential street, but within walking distance of everything you could possibly need in the way of eating out, transport, shops, entertainment and many tourist attractions.

For us personally we are only a 10/15 minute walk from Register House on Princes Street where we do most of our research. We like Lloyds Bar in The Omni Centre on Leith Walk for a really convenient and cheap place to eat out in a nice happy atmosphere but there are just so many other places that you are spoilt for choice. On our last visit we enjoyed an evening at the theatre close by The Omni Centre.


In all honesty, out of curiosity, I occasionally trawl the net to look at and keep up to date with other Edinburgh apartments. Taking everything into consideration though I personally just can't find another apartment to match this one.
