The house is in a beautiful location, right next to the Cap de Creus natural park with no neighbours behind or to one side. The dirt track to Cadaques is just behind the house, with stunning walks at your doorstep. The town and beaches are just a few minutes walk away.
There are terraces and gardens on three sides, and a summer kitchen with sofa and BBQ, a wonderful place to relax on warm summer evenings. The eating areas are sheltered from the wind so even in the winter you can enjoy lunch on the terrace. It has a magical garden area at the back, with a little lawn, perfect to catch the early morning rays for breakfast. There are four different outdoor sitting and dining areas, so the house is very suitable for groups where you can be together or find a spot for a quiet read and relax.
The master bedroom opens up to the lush stone walled garden area at the back, while two of the other bedrooms have view over the front garden and the sea with double doors leading on to a walk way terrace and the pool area. The fourth large ensuite bedroom has double doors on to a the private drive way.
The town is less than 10 min walk away down a little track, and similar distance to Tamariu beach, voted one of the most beautiful of the Costa Brava.
It is the last house on the road, so no traffic in front of the house.
The 7.5x 3m pool is tiled, and is 1.50 m deep throughout. It is maintained all year by a professional service company
The house has double glazing, a Jotul wood burning stove, and an efficient central heating system so the house is lovely and warm in winter.
For larger groups than eight, there is an office with single sofa beds for one adult or two children and guest bedrooms are around 15 Sq m so with room for cots or an extra mattress. The office has a wc and basin opposite.
In the guest area below where the three bedrooms are located, there is also a second kitchen/laundry room.
We prefer to rent to families with children who can swim, though we do provide wooden child gates in the access areas to the pool.
We are a family who live part of the year in this beautiful village, enjoying windsurfing, walking, cycling and just relaxing. We love not having to use a car when we are here. And we especially appreciate the contrast of the wild and rugged natural park, with the bustling fishing village and lots of water activities and restaurants.

This is a lovely holiday home for friends and family who would like to stay in a place which has charm and a homely lived-in feeling. The views are breathtaking, you are part of a village, yet in a quiet location. Even in August you can go for a walk in the park and see no one.

Port de la Selva is a small, active fishing port near the French boarder. It lies next to a vast nature reserve, the neighbouring village is Cadaques, Salvador Dali's home. The coast around the little town is a collection of beautiful little coves and beaches with crystal clear water. The town has a windsurfing club, a diving school, a yacht harbour and sailing school. Its an excellent spot for snorkelling and kayaking. Within a few minutes there are several medieval villages and Figures is half an hour away. The Rhodes Monastery overlooks the village and there are concerts there in the abbey in the summer. Port de la Selva is a family resort with excellent walking and cycling routes. There are many restaurants, a few bars and a couple of nightclubs, two small supermarkets and a number of family owned food shops. The Barcelona train line is 15 minutes away
